It's me, emgecko

I'm re-sharing what I wrote in October because it covers the s3 theme of how to resolve angels' and demons' influence on the free will of humanity, but it ends the way we expected it to.

Its not perfect. It was written in a rush as a daily challenge, but knowing what happens in my version made me feel better after I'd finished the finale, so I hope my version will comfort someone else too.

It's already been written,

it's already been sung.

It's was already forgotten,

when the old ones were young.

Why write it again?

I want to say,

it doesn't even matter, anyway.

It's the same old story,

the same old song.

If anyone listens, they'll forget before long.

I have nothing to say.

No story to tell,

that another doesn't already know too well.

I have a voice

and it wants to speak,

but the mind is apathetic,

and the heart is meek

Maybe I could find a way to understand the beauty of myself

I thought

Then I realised that I don't see the beauty in gold

Gold has become tarnished by greed

I will fill my broken edges with the iridescence of nature, and the colours of the rainbow

Maybe then I will remember the beauty within us all

And maybe then I will feel part of this world

Rage, rage now.

Rage with compassion.

Rage with understanding.

Rage with the beauty of the world reflected in your eyes.

Rage against those who would take that beauty, unblinking, unseeing.

Their beauty is not our beauty.

Their aspirations are not our aspirations.

Whispered in the sounds of silence.
