I think Daniel's crash out at the bowling alley is darker on a second watch..
The implication that after a lifetime Daniel thinks Armand should have killed him at 20 years old, that despite everything he's achieved and learned and experienced in those 50 years he thinks it wasn't worth it. Looking back on your life at 70 and thinking it was just a waste. Only to be stuck in that disillusionment for eternity.
Do we think that Daniel is mad that Armand didn't kill him, or is he mad because he thinks that Armand believes it was a mistake not to kill him? I read it as the latter but I'm seeing mixed opinions on this and wondering if I misunderstood
Ohhh much to consider here. I personally took it as a little more of the latter, like I don't think Daniel thinks Armand should've killed him at 20. I think Daniel maybe loosely believes that Armand believes it was a mistake not to have killed him in 1973 given the fact we pretty much know that Daniel doesn't remember/know of their past relationship. But it's also a matter of him not fully knowing himself and I think that's really important here, especially given where he is right now.
There's a lot of trauma, loss of identity, loss of power, and abandonment coursing through Daniel right now and we see that in how bitter and almost comedic his jabs at Armand and himself are. It's almost self-flagellation to a point, particularly in the second half where he's giving what he thinks Armand's apology would be from his own perspective. The five stints in rehab, the divorces, etc!!
Gah, much to think about on this. Daniel's crash out in the bowling alley has so many layers! I think there's no one, clean answer to why he feels the way he feels.
imo by far the funniest thing about daniel making it to being a worldwide bestseller and then dating armand is that not only does it look like he invented a guy and then forced his controversially young boyfriend to pretend to be that fictional guy, he picked the villain. from every iwtv citizen’s perspective, a world renowned journalist wrote a novel analyzing the cycles of abuse from the perspective of one guy and his evil ass boyfriend, and then declared to the public that he, daniel molloy, can in fact handle allat
Where's that tweet about how American chants are "let's go [team name] and some other country (Irish?) fans are "I've made up a song about the other team's drinking problem to the tune of London Bridge Is Falling Down one two three"?

Adam: Your older brother. Abel. He's dead.
Adams third child, Seth: What is that?
Adam: I don't know. This is new for me too.
Eve: I think "dead" is what happens to dinnerbeasts.
Seth:
Eve: We might have to dinner him.

today's reason I fucking love the open source community: Ageless Linux, a brand new Debian-based operating system specifically designed to break the law by giving children access to computers that explicitly refuse to track their age.
reblog this post to help a child break the law
oh goddamn this whole page goes so hard actually, please go read it. what an impressive, visceral takedown of this dumb law
As of June 29, 2026 the law discussed here is a recently passed California state law (AB 1043) that requires age validation before using a computer connected to the internet. This is expected to happen at the operating system level, when you login to Windows, MacOS, Linux, etc.
Ageless Linux intends to force the issue before the California state supreme court, then ultimately (probably) the Supreme Court of the United States (SCOTUS). It's a stupid, dangerous law, voted into place by legislators who either don't understand the core issue OR knowingly voted for it because they're assholes.
California is an influential state in the US. Many laws & regulations passed there eventually trickle out to most states. That's why it's worrisome to see this kind of thing rammed through, and why it's important to fight it.
Also, it doesn't matter if you use Linux or not. Or whether you live in California or not. Visit their site, read the text, learn what's going on with access to computing in this hellscape timeline.
Tumblr added a bunch of tracking shit to share urls, so now ill teach you how to get rid of them
if you copy a url by sharing on the website, the link will look like this
getting rid of tracking in these is easy, just delete everything after the question mark and you are golden
in the case for the app, its slightly more complicated
first you have to delete at. that appears before tumblr(.)com the other tracking shit on this one has a lot more info, so please, clean app urls. after the first set of numbers, there's a / you have to delete everything after it
a clean Tumblr url should look like this
blog safely
Removing this garbage makes posts embed on discord btw
This is why Pride is not just a party. It's a joyful celebration, but it's also a pointed and colourful two-finger salute to a world that stood back whilst so many of us died. And we'll never go quietly, never again.
Reminder that the AIDS crisis was an intentional genocide
the thing is it IS arun in that episode. armand is walking around like a lost child, afraid and alone, begging for people to hear him out and accept him and not hurt him, taking all abuse given to him because he feels like he doesn't have options other than take it or run away, which he also does. until that last scene with daniel. he pushes daniel off him. he snaps at him. he condescends to him. he tells an honest truth and he's insecure about it but it's not the same kind of insecurity we saw earlier in the episode. he feels comfortable enough with daniel in that moment that he becomes armand again.
Having experienced a lot of it in my 20s, I think some of the worst, pettiest, most straight up this-is-just-bullying-you're-passing-off-as-praxis incidences of Queer Infighting endemic to young people can be best understood as attempts to exercise power by people with very little power.
Like you're 22, you're queer, you've just become a Marxist, the scope of World Suck is overwhelming and you have $30 in your bank account. What can you do to feel like you have any power? Well, you can try to get your frenemy cancelled for cosplaying a character from a problematic show. You can write a public callout post over someone's obviously friendly use of a slur you don't think they technically have the right to reclaim. Doing this stuff can make you feel like you have power and your actions have an impact. Unfortunately the impact in question is a negative impact on other marginalized people. But that often takes some maturity and self-reflection to notice.
I'm reminded of this post from 2017. To paraphrase, OP took part in community service via their university and part of that was cleaning the bathrooms at the local homeless community centre, which would frequently get trashed, not because the homeless people using them disrespected the work of the people cleaning them but because they had so little control over other things that happened in their lives, and the bathroom was something they could affect.
This, too, is a trashed bathroom; young queer people living through hell and having precious little control over their circumstances or the world in which they exist can affect something by using the language of social justice as a cudgel on their would-be allies, as well as getting a brief feeling of power over someone else by doing it.
It's not worth it. Don't trash your community bathrooms.

We all gave my boy Armand such a hard time for standing in the crowd Like That when we saw trailers etc but like... He was right. I still spend most of my time like 'What's wrong with him? /affectionate' but in this one instance yeah, I would also be straight up not having a good time.
