To the Anon who just sent me the idea I love the way you think and love the idea, just dont want to post the idea and ruin the whole plot for potentially the next part đ
Please keep the ideas coming i love them and would love you guys to help decide the plot. đŠľ
Thank you!!
In a city controlled by crime, Alexia Putellas runs her empire with cold precision. When an outsider accidentally witnesses something they shouldn't, she spares their life and pulls them deep into her world, where trust is dangerous, loyalty is enforced, and nothing under her command is ever truly a choice. Word count: 3027 Part 3 - other parts Notes at the end <3
When Y/n woke the next morning, the sunrise had replaced the rain, and for one hopeful second, she forgot where she was. That was until she saw the reinforced window.
âOh, goodâ, she said, sitting up slowly.Â
The room hadn't changed, and the camera in the upper corner still blinked silently. After a couple of minutes, the lock clicked open and in stepped Misa, carrying folded clothes. Y/n glanced at them and then back at Misa.
âYou do laundry now?â
âNoâ.
âShame, wouldâve suited youâ.
Misa just placed the clothes on the chair, âChangeâ.
Y/n unfolded them, black shorts and a white vest and roughly her size. She looked over towards Misa.
âYou lot guessed my size?â
Misaâs face didn't move. âIdentification recordsâ.
âSomehow that is creepierâ.
âIt is efficientâ.
âYou talk like Alexiaâ.
Misa paused, âNoâ.
âYesâ.
âNoâ.
Y/n held up the shorts, âThat sounded exactly like herâ.
Misa sighed, âChangeâ.
âThere. Againâ.
Misa just walks towards the door, speaking over her shoulder. âAlexia wants you downstairsâ.
âFor execution?â
âBreakfastâ.
âThat was going to be my second guessâ.
As soon as Misa stepped out into the corridor, Y/n changed into the shorts and vest, gave her hair a quick brush with her fingers, and stepped outside. She was met with Misa and two guards, who she gave an amused glance.
âBit much for breakfast, no?â
âYouâre unpredictableâ.
âWell, I prefer charmingâ.
âNo one askedâ, Misa said before walking down the hall, leaving Y/n to slightly jog to catch up.
During the day, the building seemed different it was way busier, staff moved quickly through corridors, security opened doors after scans, and absolutely nobody seemed surprised to see Y/n. Meaning everyone had clearly been told about her, brilliant. Before Y/n can think too much, the lift doors open, and she follows Misa inside to be met with nothing. There were no numbered buttons, just a blank panel.
âYou know, normal buildings have buttonsâ, Y/n muttered.
âNormal buildings have security flawsâ.
âYou people need a hobbyâ.
âThis is our hobbyâ.
Y/n looked over at Misa, whose expression remained flat.
âThat was almost a jokeâ, Y/n smiled slowly.
âNoâ.
Before Y/n could continue, the doors opened. This floor was brighter and had more private offices, with lots of people moving between rooms, carrying folders and tablets. As she followed Misa towards a set of open double doors, all she could hear was the laughter that spilled out through them. It was real laughter, loose, warm and entirely out of place.Â
Misa slowed, âDo not start anythingâ.
Y/n huffed, looking offended, âI never start thingsâ.
Misa turned toward her, âY/nâ.
Y/n just lifted both hands, âOkay, okay. I will behaveâ.
Misa sighed, âThat worries me more.â
As they entered, Y/n's gaze settled on the long table covered with breakfast that smelt way too good, considering she was still being held here against her will, and the four women sat around it.
Jenni was the first woman Y/n noticed. She was sitting sideways in her chair, one arm draped over the backrest as if she had never once had to worry about being told to sit properly. She looked up immediately, as her eyes moved over Y/n with open curiosity.
Beside her sat Mapi, tattoos visible beneath rolled sleeves, cutting fruit with more aggression than it deserved.
Ona sat opposite, quieter, watching everything.
Patri held a coffee mug between both hands, expression calm but interested.
Misa stopped beside Y/n.
âThis is Y/nâ.
Jenni smiled, âSoâ.
Y/n waited as Jenni looked her over once more.
âYouâre the mechanicâ.
Y/n glanced at Misa.
âApparently, Iâm a celebrityâ.
Jenni leaned forward.
âAlexia said you noticed thingsâ.
Y/n pulled out a random chair.
âShe says lots of thingsâ.
Misa moved the chair beside her instead.
Y/n looked at it, âAssigned seating?â
âYesâ.
âDo you hand out name tags too?â
âSitâ.
Y/n sat directly opposite Jenni. Misa clearly regretted this immediately.
Jenni rested her chin against one hand, âYou always talk this much?â
âOnly when people kidnap meâ.
âThat seems fairâ.
âI thought soâ.
Jenni smiled wider. It was effortless, the kind of smile that invited trouble without needing to ask for it directly.Â
âYou hungry?â Jenni asked.
âStarvingâ.
Jenni slid a plate of pastries across the table, âCarefulâ.
Y/n picked one up, âPoison?â
âMapi chose them.â
Mapi looked offended as she retorted, âI have tasteâ.
Jenni lowered her voice, âExactlyâ.
Y/n laughed while Patri looked toward Misa.
âWhere did you find her?â
âWrong garageâ.
Y/n corrected her, âRight garage. Wrong criminalsâ.
Jenni laughed again, âYouâre braveâ.
âNoâ.
Jenni tilted her head. âNo?â
âIâm sarcastic. People confuse the twoâ.
âThat sounds usefulâ.
âIt has mixed resultsâ.
Misa poured herself coffee, âMostly bad onesâ.
Y/n looked at Jenni. âShe likes meâ.
Misa didnât look up. âI tolerate youâ.
âSee?â
Jenni smiled, âI think she likes you tooâ.
Misaâs head lifted. âNoâ.
âDefinitelyâ.
âNoâ.
Y/n leaned closer to Jenni across the table.
âShe does this a lotâ.
âI knowâ.
There was immediate ease between them. Jenni teased without needing permission while Y/n pushed back without hesitation, and neither seemed particularly interested in letting the other win. Mapi noticed it first, then Patri, then Ona.
Jenni reached for a strawberry. âSo what exactly did you do to annoy Alexia this badly?â
âFixed her carâ.
Jenni blinked, âThatâs it?â
âI also noticed armed men unloading cratesâ.
âThere it isâ.
âAnd criticised someoneâs electrical workâ.
Jenni laughed as she pointed the strawberry toward her, âI like youâ.
Y/n smiled, âYou said that fastâ.
âI am quite decisiveâ.
Y/n studied Jenni, âSo can you get away with arguing with Alexia?â
Jenni leaned back.
âI can get away with lots of thingsâ.
Alexiaâs voice came flat, âUntil you can'tâ.
Everyoneâs eyes snapped up to find Alexia standing in the doorway after entering silently, yet again. She's wearing a dark charcoal suit, a simple gold watch and her hair is pulled back neatly. Her eyes travelled down the table from Mapi and Ona, to Patri and Misa, to Jenni and then Y/n, where her eyes stayed for a moment longer than the rest.Â
Y/n felt the change straight away as Alexiaâs eyes moved from the plate in front of Y/n to Jenni and then back. At first, it looked like calculation, but there was something tighter beneath it, something Y/n didnât see the night before, and Jenni clearly saw it as well.
Her smile sharpened, âMorningâ.
Alexia looked at her again. âYou were supposed to be downstairs twenty minutes agoâ.
âI got distractedâ. Jenni replied, glancing over at Y/n.
The room cooled by several degrees as Alexia followed the look.Â
Y/n picked up her coffee to hide her smirk, while Jenni just sits there looking way too pleased and smug.Â
âHow did you sleep?â Alexia asked as she walked in.
Y/n finally looked up at her. âTerriblyâ.
âYou sleptâ.
âThat is a low standardâ.
âYou were safeâ.
âThat's debatableâ.
As Alexia took her seat at the head of the table, the room adjusted instantly around her, and even Jenni straightened slightly, not out of fear, but as a habit of respect.Â
Alexia sipped her coffee. âThe car has been moved downstairsâ.
Y/nâs attention sharpened. âDid anyone touch it?â
âIt was transportedâ.
âDid anyone touch the wiring?â
âNoâ.
âGoodâ.
âCan you finish the repair this morning?â
Y/n freezes. âYou mean I get to work?â
Alexia looks towards her voice firmer. âCan you fix the car Y/n?â
Y/n locks eyes, scoffing, âYeah. Of course I canâ.
Alexia just nods towards Misa. âTake Y/n to the car. Mapi and Ona can join herâ.
Misa nods, already moving towards the doors. Y/n doesn't stand yet, she just looks towards Jenni.Â
âWhat about Jenni? Can she come?â
Silence.
Alexia looks at Y/n before settling on Jenni.
âJenni has responsibilities to tend toâ.
Jenni tilted her head. âDo I?âÂ
âYesâ.
âWhat are they?â
Alexiaâs gaze went back to Y/n and didn't move. âElsewhereâ.
Jenniâs expression turned openly amused. âAre you sending me away?â
âYesâ.
âWhy?â
Alexiaâs gaze cooled. âBecause I gave you workâ.
Jenni looked toward Y/n. âWell, that's a shame.â
Y/n smiled back.
âI was enjoying breakfast.â
Alexiaâs eyes snapped to her, and Y/n felt it instantly. It was subtle but still very clearly possessive. Y/n probably should have stopped herself, but instead she leaned one elbow on the table and spoke.
âMaybe she can do her work downstairs in the garage.â
âNoâ, Alexia said immediately.
Jenniâs eyebrows rose.
Y/n fakes innocence, âWhy not?â
âShe has work to doâ.
Jenni smirks, glancing at Alexia, âCome on Ale, you know how well I can multitaskâ.
Alexia freezes before snapping a little, âI said no, and that's finalâ.
Jenniâs smile stayed, but something within her posture shifted as even she knows not to push Alexia over any boundaries, and she just hit one. As she heads towards the door, she whispers something only Alexia and herself could hear, but whatever it was has Alexiaâs composure cracking slightly.Â
Just before she reaches the door, she calls over her shoulder. âLater, mechanicâ.
Y/n lifted her cup slightly. âTry not to miss me too muchâ.
Jenni laughs, shaking her head as she walks out of the room.
Alexia watches the doorway long after Jenniâs figure had disappeared, eventually looking back to Y/n.
âYou enjoy provoking peopleâ.
âOnly the interesting onesâ.
âAnd is Jenni interesting?â
Y/n smiled, âVeryâ.
Alexiaâs face remained unreadable however, her eyes did not. Y/n found that strange possessive spark again, as she looks in them. Not enough for anyone to accuse her of it, but it's definitely there. Alexia walks towards her, stopping once she's reached the chair.
âShe enjoys gamesâ.
âSo do iâ.
âI noticedâ.Â
Alexia's eyes dropped for a fraction too long before she straightened. âDownstairsâ.
Y/n stood up, âBossyâ.
âAliveâ, Alexia replied as she walked away.
Y/n smiled to herself.
Misa saw it. âDo notâ.
Y/n looked over at her. âI said nothingâ.
The garage smelled like oil, gas, and metal. Y/n found herself relaxing almost immediately, something familiar at last. The car itself sat under bright lights in the centre of the workshop, its black paint shining perfectly. Beside it, a workbench was prepared with tools, diagnostic equipment, everything she could need and more.
Y/n walked slowly around the car, scanning it up and down.
Mapi followed her, âYou always stare at cars like this?â
âYesâ.
âWhy?â
âThey tell you thingsâ.
Mapi glanced at Ona, âIs this not weird?â
Y/n crouched near the front wheel and muttered back, âYou play with knives in your spare timeâ.
âFairâ.
Misa remained by the door watching as Y/n opened the bonnet, where the badly bypassed immobiliser and added relay were.
Y/n leaned in closer, âUglyâ.
Misa spoke up, âCan you remove it?â
âYeahâ.
âHow long?â
Y/n glanced over her shoulder, âDepends on how much you interrupt meâ.
Misa folded her arms.
Y/n continued, âAbout an hourâ.
She got to work carefully removing the damaged bypass, rebuilding the original circuit, and then testing the relay and any other common faults, which comes back as nothing so far. She felt in control, and since being dragged into Alexiaâs world, it's the first time. When she's about halfway through putting everything back together, a familiar voice speaks up behind her.
âYou look happierâ.
Y/n smiled before turning, she knew that it was Jenniâs voice.
âI brought suppliesâ, Jenni said as she entered carrying two coffees.
Misa stared, âYou have workâ.
âI finishedâ.
âYou did notâ.
âI finished enough of itâ.
As Jenni returned her focus to Y/n, she handed her one of the coffees before asking. âNeed any help?â
âCan you hold a light?â
âI can hold whatever you wantâ.
Y/n looked at Jenni as she leaned over Y/nâs shoulder way too close, then necessary.
âHere?â Jenni asked.
âLeftâ.
Jenni moved it.
âOther leftâ.
âI knew thatâ.
âClearlyâ.
Jenni bumped her shoulder against Y/nâs as she smiled. Their flirting was effortless, it came through timing, looks, or the way Y/n kept asking Jenni to pass tools she could easily reach herself.
Their bubble was popped when the garage door opened, and Alexia walked in. Misa instantly straightened, Ona did as well, and even Mapi stopped smiling. Jenni however, did not move away, and that was the first thing Alexia saw. Jenni leaning beside Y/n, way too close, holding a light as Y/n is bent over half beneath the bonnet.
Alexia stopped, but only for a fraction of a second, before she continued calm and controlled. âProgress?â
âNearly doneâ, Y/n replied, not even turning around.
Alexia stopped beside Misa as her eyes moved to the coffee beside the tools, then to Jenni. âWhy are you here?â
Jenni did not look away from Y/n. âHelpingâ.
âYou have workâ.
âFinished itâ.
Alexiaâs gaze sharpened knowingly as Jenni smiled.
âJenniâ, Y/n called.
âYes?â
âLightâ.
âLike this?â
âPerfect, thanksâ. Y/n finished connecting the last circuit. âDoneâ.
Jenni looked impressed. âThat fast?â
âI told you.â
âYou did.â
Y/n lowered the bonnet carefully. âTry itâ.
Alexia looked at her. âAre you sure?â
Y/n put one hand over her heart, âThat hurtsâ.
âAre you sureâ.
âYesâ.
Alexia handed the tablet to Misa and approached the vehicle, opened the door, sat behind the wheel, started the engine, and the car came alive instantly. Smooth, clean and no fault warnings.
Y/n smiled with satisfaction, âThere.â
Alexia let the engine run, then switched it off.
She stepped out, âYou fixed itâ.
Y/n folded her arms, âYou sound surprisedâ.
âI verify everythingâ.
âParanoidâ.
âYesâ.
Jenni smiled at Y/n.
Alexia shut the car door, âEnoughâ.
The word came sharper than anything she had said all morning. Everyone went still, well, everyone except Jenni, who looked at her and then smiled. There was challenge in it now.
âEnough what?â Jenni asked.
Alexiaâs eyes narrowed, and Y/n looked between them before deciding that this was becoming dangerous.
Jenni stepped toward Y/n, âCome on. I was just helpingâ.
Alexia moved, she crossed the distance and stopped directly in front of them, âYou were distracting herâ.
Jenni looked at her.
âMoveâ.
Jenniâs eyebrows lifted, Y/nâs heartbeat kicked, and there was no mistaking it now, possessiveness was raw beneath Alexiaâs control.
Jenni saw it. âYou are jealousâ.
The room went silent.
Alexia spoke softly. âLeaveâ.
Jenniâs smile faded not from fear but from recognition. She had finally reached the line.
âAlexiaââ
âNowâ.
Jenni held her gaze for one long moment, then looked at Y/n. âLaterâ.
Mapi followed almost immediately, âI suddenly have somewhere to beâ.
Ona nodded, âSameâ.
They disappeared only Misa remained.
Alexia looked at her, âOutâ.
Misa hesitated.
Alexiaâs gaze sharpened, causing Misa to exhale before leaving, pulling the garage door shut behind her, leaving silence. Y/n stood beside the car, and Alexia stood opposite her.
For several seconds, neither spoke. Then Y/n smiled. âYou really hate being caught doing anything humanâ.
Alexia stared.
Y/n smiled, âVery jealousâ.
âY/nâ.
âPossessive tooâ.
Something changed at that moment. Alexia stepped forward, causing Y/n to step back instinctively, but Alexia followed until the backs of Y/nâs knees met the car bonnet, causing her to fall backwards against it.
The humour remained on her face, but her pulse jumped as Alexia stopped directly infront of her, far too close. She placed one hand next to Y/nâs head, and the other rested near Y/nâs waist, pinning her in.Â
Alexia leaned even closer, âYou think you understand me?â
âNoâ.
âGoodâ.
âBut I understand jealousyâ.
âIm not jealousâ.
Y/n smiled up at her, âThen you won't care if I have dinner with herâ.
Silence, and before she could use her better judgement, Y/nâs smile widened as she continued, âThought so-â
Alexia cut her off as her breath came sharper and she moved fast, way faster than Y/n expected and grabbed a fist full of Y/nâs vest, pulling her up the remaining distance until their mouths collided.
After getting over her initial shock, Y/n didn't back down. She reached up and grabbed the collar of Alexiaâs shirt, trying to gain some control, but that ended quickly after Alexia bit down hard on Y/nâs lower lip, making her gasp.
Y/n groaned, pressing her hips upwards, instinctively trying to find some sort of friction after feeling the sudden heat between her thighs. She wasn't thinking about Jenni anymore, she was only thinking about how much she wanted Alexia to fuck her right there against the car she had just fixed for her.
Alexia smirked as she pulled away. âI told youâ, she said as her thumb brushed over Y/nâs swollen lips. âI control what is under my commandâ.
Y/nâs pulse stumbled, âIâm not under your commandâ.
Alexiaâs gaze held hers, âNo?â
Y/n opened her mouth, but nothing came out. For the first time since entering Alexiaâs world, she had no answer. The slightest glint of satisfaction entered Alexiaâs expression as she noticed and took in the sight of Y/n lying backwards on the bonnet, flushed and out of breath.
She brushed Y/n's hair out of her face while she leaned down and pressed her mouth to Y/n's again before standing up, smoothing her suit down and heading towards the garage door.
Y/n remained exactly where she was as she watched Alexias retreating figure while her pulse refused to settle. At the doorway, Alexia stopped and looked back. She almost seemed fully composed again.
âFive minutesâ, she said. âThen my officeâ.
Y/n stared at her, âFor what?â
Alexiaâs eyes held hers, âTo continue our discussionâ.
Then she disappeared through the doorway, and Y/n stayed exactly where she was, almost shaking her head with disbelief.

Little tiny sneak peek for you lot đ
let me know what you think either below or in my asks đ
FYI: this bit is still a rough draft itself as im editing bits as I go
Alexia had never liked unknown variables and apparently, Jenni flirting with Y/n had just become one.
âJenni has responsibilities,â Alexia said
Jenni tilted her head. âDo I?â
âYes.â
âWhat are they?â
Alexiaâs gaze did not leave Y/n. âElsewhere.â
Mapi coughed into her hand, which sounded suspiciously like a laugh.
How we feeling about a small sneak peek in a bit??? đŤŁ
Take it All Pt. 1 | Misa RodrĂguez x Reader
A/N: Either I sit on this for another month, or I give it you. Prelude to actual fic. 3k-ish, getting back into the swing of things. Ideas from a comment exchange with @2truthsand1lie on this post.
Tags: Mafia AU, mentions of guns, NO SMUT WHO AM I (lead up to smut). Sequel(ish) to Till There's Nothing Left. This won't make sense unless you've read that. Please read that first, or the dynamic swings in this are going to be a bit crazy.
Ever since that night, things had spiralled.Â
The morning after, you'd been roused by Alexiaâs low murmur. âI should have your hand cut off for that.â
It took a second to register that she was across the room, not the heat pressed against your back.
The fingers curled around your hip twitched.Â
âDonât move.â Alexia breathed, âSheâs sleeping.âÂ
You most definitely werenât. But when the door clicked shut and Misa nuzzled into the back of your neck, it was easy to doze again.Â
The house arrest almost went unspoken that morning. You, too afraid to ask. Misa, making the coffee sheâd usually insist on paying for in a cafe. Travel cups in hand, she'd gently suggested a walk in the garden.
It wasnât till you were sat in the shade watching the bees sweep from flower to flower that she sighed.Â
âI know itâs between you and the boss, and I donât want toâŚâ A quick glance confirmed that she had become fascinated by the curve of her hands around her own cup. Her knuckles had been covered in fresh gauze that morning.Â
âGo on,â You replied.
Another breath. âLast night, you were sure you wanted to be a part of it.âÂ
You turned back to the bees, pulling your knees up. It was quiet out. Quieter than it ever was in the city. âI want to be with her. And you. And I donât have anyone else now.â
And after last night, I have no choice. Â
It sat between you, unsaid but ever present.
âOnce youâre in, there is no way out. I donât want you to regret it." She sighed.
It was hard to fathom what you were signing up for, your own perception skewed by muffled conversations overheard as a child and films watched as a teenager. You knew that your own knowledge was limited, yet walking away from Alexia wasnât even a possibility.
You chose carefully, keeping your tone light. âDo you?âÂ
âNo.â She replied instantly. âNever.âÂ
You hummed back, sipping from your cup slowly.Â
The silence wasnât uncomfortable per se, but it stretched.Â
Eventually, Misa leaned forwards and rested her elbows on her knees. You watched her profile look out over the garden, stretching all the way to the high wall.
âIn that case,â she began, âI know youâll have questions about⌠everything. I think you should save them for Ale. She knows more than me. Knows how sheâd want things answered. But she wants you to learn how to shoot. You need to know how to defend yourself properly. And if youâre certain about staying, Iâll teach you.âÂ
You processed slowly, no pressure from her posture nor her tone. After a while, you replied, âIâm certain.â
Her smile was slow and lazy when she stretched back against the bench. âMaybe after lunch, then?â
Nodding a little, you nudged your shoulder against hers. âLots of time to practice. I donât suppose Iâm going to be allowed to leave here anytime soon?âÂ
She snorted, pressing back. âCount yourself lucky Ale hasnât locked you inside.âÂ
You tried to suppress your sigh as you rolled your neck to stare at the leaves and listened to the gentle twitter of birds overhead. You'd expected as much, but the confirmation was still painful. âCan I ask you other things, then? About you. Not you know⌠work related?âÂ
âOf course. Anything you want.âÂ
And so it went.Â
Slowly.Â
Slowly.Â
Slowly, the days slipped into a gentle kind of torture.Â
First, the shooting lessons. The dark-lit range under the garage which was straight out of a Batman film. Misa, bright and alive when she enthusiastically explained the difference between bolt-action and break-action. Her fast-moving fingers dismembering her piece just to show you how it fit back together. The hard press of her body behind you while she readjusted your grip, your angle, your stance.Â
Second, Misaâs non-negotiable gym time. Her goofy grin if she caught you looking between exercises. The snap of fresh tape against her knuckles which would last exactly one and a half sets before sheâd rip it off and let her wounds be bare. The devastating cut of her physique, covered in sweat and stronger than it had any right to be. And you, trying to ignore the way every quiet grunt made its way into your lizard brain and demanded to be played on repeat until you were undeniably turned on.Â
Third, the information your carefully curated questions would work out of her. The way sheâd smirk but wouldnât make eye contact when youâd bring up her past. Then her half-assed answers, which started short and then lengthened with each passing day. It took three of those conversations before you finally blurted out the thing which had sat at the front of your mind since that night.Â
âCan I ask you a question?â Youâd rationalised that it deserved a little warning.Â
Though you could tell it took everything in her not to point out that you just had, Misa raised her eyebrow and kept her mouth shut.Â
"You and Ale," Youâd started, "Romantically..?â It wasnât until the word was out of your mouth that you realised you hadnât given her a question at all.Â
She did a bad job of keeping her face straight, smirk creeping through her apparent indifference. âLess romance, more⌠physical.âÂ
âOften?âÂ
Misa folded her arms, but there was nothing tense about her. âAre you going to pretend Ale hasnât already told you?â
You ignored her, pivoting fast. âAnd Jenni?âÂ
Misa chuckled, reverting to her usual shortness. âItâs complicated.âÂ
âAnd with Lucy too?âÂ
âLucy and Ona are a package deal.â
âBut youâve slept with them both?âÂ
Misaâs eyes narrowed. It was like mental chess, trying to work out why she was being so evasive when Alexia didnât hold anything back. âAny reason you want the details of my sex life, doll?âÂ
âIt involves my girlfriend.â You'd reminded, since you could hardly blurt out that the memory of them kissing had been playing on repeat in your head for days. âIt happened a lot?âÂ
Seemingly placated, Misa shrugged. âWith Ale, not since you came around.âÂ
âSorry.â
She laughed at that. âDonât be sorry. Sheâs happier now.âÂ
And that was sweet enough to make you drop the subject, because that was the final pain point.Â
For her promise of no more secrets, Alexia was always gone. Some mornings youâd wake to her and Misaâs whispered conversations, the latterâs body entwined with your own, the former already half-way out the door. Others, youâd miss her entirely.
Each night, with Alexia and the others yet to appear and time ticking on, Misa would grow tired of trying to entertain you, then grow tired of watching you trying to keep your eyes open.Â
âTime for bed?â She suggested the first time.Â
âYeah,â Youâd breathed back, though your heart hurt, âBut I wanna-â
âCome on then. Iâll stay until Ale gets back.âÂ
But Alexia wasnât back. At least, not before you fell asleep. Night after night, whatever bleary-eyed glimpse of her you caught in the morning was as much as you'd get.
Her sporadic texts werenât nearly enough with the number of questions marinating in your mind. The gentle rejections to FaceTimes and phone calls were an everyday occurrence. If you did catch her, it was just a check-in, less than five minutes before sheâd be called away to something else.
You knew Misa could see it. While you had been isolated before, you'd at least had the freedom to shop and eat in the city, talking to strangers if only to order from them. Alexia had been available, and the others were around far more often. Now, it was just Misa and the perimeters of the admittedly large villa.
By the fifth morning, your heart stuttered when their gentle whispers roused you awake.Â
âYou're taking your bodyguard role very seriously, Mis.â Alexiaâs bemused lilt carried.Â
You could feel Misaâs head pressed against your neck, her arm around your waist, her thigh stretched over yours. Her chest rumbled husky when she spoke. âIâm being a human shield.â
Alexia muffled her amusement before her tone lowered. âHmm. Guard her any closer and weâll have to have a talkâ
With a pout, you forced your eyes open to find her across the room. She pulled on her jacket before noticing your alertness. You half-hated her for leaving so easily. For waking up and sneaking out. For teasing when she was meant to be jealous.Â
The other half desperately wanted her to come back to bed and stay.
You spoke before she could, curling your arm around to keep Misa close. âSo what, you get to fuck her, but I canât even have a cuddle without comments?â
Alexia hardly hid her surprised giggle. âYouâre awake, cariĂąo?â Her whole face lit up as she walked over, then gently kneed her way onto the bed. Her hand stroked back the wild flyaways of your hair before she leaned in. Her soft kiss made your heart hurt. Asking her to stay was on the tip of your tongue, but you already knew what the answer would be. Youâd text each other enough âI miss youâsâ to know the response to that too.
Instead, you soaked in the worshipful caress of her fingers. Another kiss. Then one to your cheek. Alexia pulled away, just a cheeky smile before, âYou can fuck her too, baby.â Another kiss. âBe safe.â
She turned and pressed her lips to Misaâs wild hair. Then, she left without turning back.Â
That comment played around and around in your head all day.Â
When Misa stood over the stove, sleep-rumpled and cooking breakfast.
When she readied herself for your walk in the garden, sliding her gun into her jeans.Â
When she stood behind you in the shooting range, strong hands correcting your own while her hips pressed against your ass.
When she stripped her shirt off before even starting her workout, then again when her sweat made her skin shine.Â
When she lingered at the door of the bathroom, eyeing how you settled on the bed to wait for her since she wanted you close.Â
And then again, when you could hear the shower's drone next door and know that she was hot, naked, and dripping under it.
You opened your phone to entertain yourself in the meantime. Flicked between the Lucy-approved weather app, your messages, and your contacts list a few times.Â
You tried to ignore the changing of the water patterns, then the quiet as it turned off. You tried to ignore the door left ajar in her paranoia. Tried to ignore the slithers of movement you could see through the crack.Â
Weather app, messages, contacts.Â
The hairdryer turned on.Â
Weather app, messages, contacts. Then back to messages. Impulsive perhaps, but Alexiaâs was the first thread. Without overthinking it, you typed:Â
[13:56] You: Were you serious
[13:56] You: What you said this morning
Immediately, the read receipt lit up. Then:
[13:56] Alexia: ?[13:56] You: About Misa
[13:57] You: And what I can do
Then, instead of three dots, just silence. You stared at the thread for a few seconds, then went through the app rotation for good measure. Still nothing.Â
You half-expected your phone to light up with an incoming call, but instead, your focus was stolen by the hairdryer shutting off.Â
The silence stretched, no movement in the bathroom, no notifications on your phone. Youâd opened the text thread again and started typing by the time the door crept open.Â
Immediately, you felt the heat. Misa stepped through, bare feet on the carpet, short shorts hardly hiding the line of her piece, the lines of her tight stomach exposed under a fresh sports bra. Â
She tilted her chin and leaned against the doorframe. âYou okay? Ale said you needed something?âÂ
Youâd hardly registered the phone in her hand till she raised her eyebrows at your silence.Â
âIâŚâ You sat up, staring at your own unanswered thread, âShe texted you?â
âSĂ, just now.â
Your stomach fluttered. You tried to ignore the heat rushing to your cheeks, shifting around to pick up your phone again. âI donât need anything, I just wanted her to text me back.â
You deleted the half-written text, opting instead for the simple message:Â
[14.02] You: I hate you right nowÂ
And then right after, because you knew that a good old guilt-trip was an effective tool: [14.02] You: I thought you were mad at me :(
But instead of your phoneâs vibration, it was Misaâs which chimed. She lifted the screen, immediately grinning.
âIs that Ale?â You asked.
Misaâs gaze flickered to you, her smile confirming.Â
Defiantly, you crawled your way to the edge of the bed and schooled your expression to confidence. âCan I see?â
Instead of answering, Misa shook her head, her amusement grinding against your thinly-veiled embarrassment.Â
A new tactic, wide eyes and pouting lips. âPlease? She wonât text me back.â
Misa was still for a second. She glanced down at her screen again, then straightened up and stepped over the plush carpet in front of you. She handed you her phone while you registered how good she smelled.Â
You tapped the screen to brighten, then scrolled to the top of the most recent messages in the thread.Â
[13:57] Alexia: What are you doing right now?
[13:57] Misa: Shower. Was at the gym. Sheâs in the bedroom on her phone. I can see her.
You didnât know what to do with the affection curling in your chest at being brought up unprompted in their conversation.Â
[13:57] Alexia: Sheâs hornyÂ
[13:57] Alexia: For you
[13:57] Alexia: Do something about it
You were certain your cheeks were bright red now.Â
[13:58] Misa: Is that an order?
You scrolled down.Â
[13:58] Alexia: If you want it to be
[13:58] Alexia: If youâd rather stand outside and listen to her getting off, you could do that instead
[14:02] Alexia: Iâll be home late
[14:02] Alexia: Tire her out for me
[14:02] Alexia: I want cuddles tonightÂ
Nothing else came through. Misa still stood in front of you. You could feel her gaze, even if you didnât want to meet it. Instead, you offered her the phone back, reaching for your own and typing quickly:
[14:04] You: I canât believe you.Â
[14:04] You: Youâre in so much trouble Alexia
It wasnât surprising when you were left on read. You sighed just to fill the silence.Â
Misa didnât move, still stood in front of you. Her voice was laced with her usual playfulness. âWhat did you say to her?â
âThat sheâs in trouble when she gets home.â
Her unrestrained laugh lifted a bit of the tension, as did her weight shifting to sit next to you. âI meant earlier?âÂ
You could see her eyes dart to the phone in your hand. Something about her openness had you handing it over before youâd really thought it through.Â
She tapped the screen, head tilting like a confused puppy while she started to read. The seconds ticked by.
You were unsure what to do with your hands, anxiety tightening your chest with every passing moment.Â
Then, Misa held it back out with a snort. âDonât be too mad at her, princess. She just wants you happy.â
Picking imaginary dirt from your fingernails seemed like the best solution. That, and digging even further. âIf she wanted me to be happy, sheâd be here.âÂ
Misa tilted her head, a flicker of sympathy in the dip of her smile. âSoon,â She breathed, setting the phone to her side when you made no move for it, âAs soon as she can be.âÂ
The quiet sat. You were ready to suggest making a start on dinner despite your very recent lunch.
Misa, on the other hand, with her hair half-dried, half-dressed, half-smiling, was reading you like a book. With a dramatic clearing of her throat, she tapped the outside of your thigh with her fingers. âSo⌠did you want me to step outside?âÂ
The groan was escaping before you could think twice. You lay back, covering your face with both palms. If hell was a place, the ground would have already eaten you up.Â
As it were, a different kind of torture.Â
You felt the weight of her shifting as she leaned back on her side.Â
âNo.â You grumbled, torn between hiding behind whatever tattered pride you had left and ogling her body.Â
âYou want me to stay?â She prodded. You could hear the smile in her tone.Â
âYouâre enjoying this far too much.âÂ
âYou want something else, then?âÂ
The heat from your cheeks was unbearable. âI hate you. Both of you.âÂ
Misa laughed, shifting to stroke her fingers against your forearms. âCome on. Youâre never shy about asking for what you want.âÂ
âMis,â You sighed, pressing your arms down and out of her reach. She was closer than you expected.Â
She didnât pull away; instead, she shifted closer, her shoulder brushing yours. She leaned in, her voice dropping to a playful, knowing hum. âFor the record, I would.â Her eyes made a less than-subtle dart down your body. âGladly. And if you didnât belong to Ale, Iâd have made a move the first time I saw you.âÂ
You froze.Â
Misa smirked again, exhaling as she propped herself up on an elbow. âSurprised?âÂ
Quite the opposite, in fact. Having confirmation that the weeks of flirting werenât just proximity and obligation felt a lot like relief.Â
âYouâre a menace,â You deflected, though it lacked any real conviction. In fact, it felt a lot like flirting back. The room felt small all of a sudden.Â
âIâve heard worse.â Misa wasn't smirking anymore; her expression had softened into something hungrier, her gaze tracing the line of your throat before locking back onto your eyes. âNow, Iâm under strict instructions to tire you out, so either you tell me to leave, orâŚâÂ
âOr what?âÂ
Misaâs eyes twinkled at the hint of bratiness. âOr you take your clothes off and weâll see if youâre as smart with my head between your legs.â Â
You felt your thighs clench, but tried not to let her crudeness throw you. Her tease was familiar, so normal now that it still felt casual.
Misa didnât look at you like a job she had to complete, but like someone she wanted to serve.
Reverent.
The power was heady. The decision, well beyond made:
âI donât want you to go.âÂ
âNo?â Misa breathed, reaching out to draw the back of her hand against your forearm.Â
You moved to tangle your fingers together, letting the playfulness curl into your smile. âNo," You inhaled just to see her be unusually patient for the next sentence, "But I do want you to kiss me. And maybe more.âÂ
With a chuckle, Misa rolled her eyes and squeezed at your hand. âMaybe? She asks her girlfriend if she can fuck me and now sheâs playing hard to get.âÂ
That drew a giggle from you, the absurdity of it all. âMaybe,â You hummed, âDepends how the kiss goes.âÂ
With an athletic grace that caught you off guard, her hand untangled itself and slid across your jaw. Misa leaned in, fast first, then completely still with just a centimetre between you. You could feel the heat of her, suddenly hyper aware of your own body, how your lips had already parted for something she only teased.Â
You didnât give her time for whatever smooth comment she was about to deliver. You closed the gap with a stretch of your neck, pressing your lips against hers without fanfare. It wasnât the soft caution of a first kiss, nor reflective of the blunt hunger simmering inside. Instead, her kiss felt right. Steady with the pressure and rhythm of two people who did this all the time.Â
But you didnât do this all the time, and the way she pulled back and made you chase her for another was addictive. She seemed to enjoy that, smiling against your lips when you sighed your frustration. Your hands were trapped too low to keep her close, one stuck against your stomach and the other meeting the hot skin of her waist.Â
Misa pulled back, âDid I pass?â She purred, stroking her thumb over your bottom lip with practised confidence.
Her smugness was a challenge.Â
You turned your head, tongue darting out to lick softly at the pad of her thumb before taking it into your mouth.
Misaâs breath hitched, her jaw slackened as you hollowed your cheeks, eyes locked on her reaction. The sound felt like a victory. Her brow creased, pupils blown wide as she watched you suck her thumb against your tongue.Â
âFuck,â She breathed.Â

Beyond the Badge | Alexia Putellas x reader - Part 9 (1/2)
Part 9 (1/2)
Summary : You're Real Madrid Femenino personified, the captain, the one who joined the day the club was born. A 15-2 agreggate against Barça makes you wonder if loyalty is enough, and the Spanish camp that follows only make it worse. You've known Alexia Putellas for years but have never been close. This camp has other ideas for you both.
Pairing : Alexia Putellas x Real Madrid! Reader
Word count : 9k
A/n : With a bit of a delay, but finally ! (but not quite) The whole chapter is over 17k words long, which isn't ideal for Tumblr, so I cut it in half. This is the first part, the second one will be 90% smut. It's written but not proofread, I will post it as soon as it's good to go (I'm hoping later today or tomorrow).
Masterlist
-----------
The recovery session on Monday is basically torture. The whole team looks like they want to be anywhere but here, including the coaching staff. They went through this exact same mourning period after Lisbon, but watching a trophy slip away twice in a row is a different kind of agony. Lyon also opens an old wound for those whoâve been here for years.
The gym is mute, save for the instructions of the medical staff guiding them through mobility drills. Everyone wants to get it over with so they can retreat back into whatever private way theyâve been choosing to cope with the failure.
On the mats, Alexia stretches in silence. She still has no idea how the idea to invite you over had crossed Albaâs mind, but she is forever grateful for her sisterâs uncanny knack for reading peopleâs emotional needs. Alexia would have never thought about it, but the second you entered the room and cuddled against her, itâs as if a new warmth had engulfed her.
You hadnât erased the loss, of course. You couldnât. Alexia can still feel the crushing weight of it resting against her chest, a constant, heavy ache with every breath she took. But knowing sheâs with someone who truly got it changed everything.
Her mother and sister, as much as she loves them, understand that itâs important for her, but they never got why. Her non-sporting friends are no different. All of her close friends who are footballers in Barcelona arenât much help considering theyâre all bleeding from the exact same wound.
But you ? Youâre right here in Barcelona, purposefully missing your own training just to be by her side. Youâre letting her hold onto you without asking for a single thing in return, providing a quiet space to talk whenever she wants, and offering a peaceful silence when she doesnât.
There are the deeper layers of hurt also, the ones her loved ones know about that you donât. The fact that Alexia was supposed to leave Barcelona, that she was so sure they were going to win that the goodbye video was already recorded. But she promised herself she couldnât do it if they lost, and now they had, and sheâs staying for another season without knowing if she can mentally handle it.
Itâs not that she actively hid it from you. Okay, maybe a bit. During camp, she simply didnât see any reason to give you that information when you talked about her contract. âIâm obviously stayingâ was an easy lie.
After that, the timing was just never right. You decided to stay at your club in a worse situation than her, and she felt like her advice to you would sound hypocritical. She had no idea it would go that far between the two of you.
Alexia makes trust be earned, people donât easily enter her close circle. You did it in a moment she was overwhelmed, between the finals, what her friends were saying, and a schedule not in her favor, gaining a trust she wasnât even sure she wanted to give you yet. Miriam had flat-out called her an idiot for withholding the truth about the contract from you, though Alexia highly disputed that specific choice of words.
Her original plan had been so neat, so controlled : she was going to call you right before the departure became official to explain everything. She had possessed absolutely no backup plan for a scenario where they lost, where she was forced to stay, and where you somehow became her actual girlfriend in the messy interim.
When the conversation turned serious the previous day, the ghost of the final was too loud for her to invite any more chaos. She stayed quiet to avoid a blowout. It was a defensive strategy she knew all too well, the exact same reason she may have withheld a few things regarding her relationship with Jenni.
She will tell you about both if she manages to get days with you in the summer, when everything has calmed down. She hopes you wonât get too mad at her. This summer is also when she plans to tell everyone she knows you are dating, because asking you to be her girlfriend is accepting that she will have to do that, no matter how much it terrifies her.
A firm shoulder bumps against hers, breaking her concentration. âYou seem totally out of it,â Irene whispers, checking her with a protective, worried gaze. âYou should come over to mine after this. I promise the kids are great distractions when you need to shut your brain off.â
Alexia is touched by the proposition. Irene knows everything. Well, almost. She knows about the weight of the loss, about the contract, about how easily Alexia gets trapped inside her own head. She deserves to know about you. Alexia has tried to get the words out in the last few weeks, but couldnât. Coward.
âDonât worry about me,â Alexia promises. âBut thank you, truly.â
Irene sighs, the one when she thinks Alexia is being difficult unreasonably. âAle, just come over. You are just going to replay the entire game on a loop at home, and we both know thatâs completely unhealthy.â
Alexia canât exactly blurt out that she has a girlfriend waiting at home to take care of her. Time and place. âI promise, Irene, Iâm not doing that bad.â
Irene shakes her head but doesnât push the issue. Ordinarily she would, but the weight of the defeat is draining her too. She doesn't have it in her to fight what she assumes is just Alexia being stubborn. âFine. But if you want to swing by at any time, the door is open.â
Alexia nods in acknowledgement. Both of them know she wonât.
There is a collective sigh of relief the exact moment the session is called to an end. There are no lingering chats today, everyone heads home just as fast as they physically can.
Youâre on her couch, watching Rolland Garros, when Alexia arrives. She gets in your arms, settling against you. Your thumb traces slow circles on the skin of her stomach, and you kiss the crown of her head when the heavy, silent tears break through, her body shaking against yours.
Alexia is grateful you donât ask questions or say words of reassurance, just let her cry and stay present. She hates it when she shows that kind of vulnerability, but you make it more bearable.
Alexia shifts in your arms after that, forcing you to lie down lower on the cushions so she can lie directly on top of you. Her face buries in the crook of your neck as your arms lock around her waist. She loses consciousness without realizing it, only surfacing when you shift beneath her. âFuck, sorry,â you whisper softly. âI was trying to sneak away, just to get dinner ready.â
Said dinner consists of Eliâs reheated pasta on Alexiaâs patio. She has accepted she canât complain about eating at every meal considering her season is still ongoing.
At the table, you tell her that you managed to secure another day here in Barcelona, and that you wonât be heading back to Madrid until Wednesday morning. She knows youâre putting yourself in a bad situation for her, and sheâs immensely grateful for it.She doesn't say it out loud, but she recognizes the professional risk you are taking by missing another day of training for her.
Thereâs also a small voice that tells her she doesnât deserve it, you rearranging your life for such a new relationship, but your presence feels good enough to silence it.
For the evening, Alexia tries to convince you that it's a good idea for her to rewatch the game against Lyon. She needs to review it to point down where they failed, every single thing she and the team could have done better.
You force her to watch a dumb lesbian comedy instead. She puts up a vocal, dramatic protest, but secretly, she relishes the fact that you refuse to let her self-destruct. Sheâs settled comfortably in your arms the whole time, as you both joke about how bad the movie is, even if it makes both of you laugh.
When Alexia wakes up the next day, you are still fast asleep. She extracts herself silently from her position on top of you, careful not to wake you up. From what she has gathered, you are a heavy sleeper anyway, which makes slipping away unnoticed much easier.
She eats her breakfast in the quiet of the patio, scrolling through her phone to clear out the essential messages that stacked up. When she steps out of the bathroom after finishing her morning routine, she catches you starting to stir in the tangled bedsheets, still half-asleep and blinking against the light. The sight of you completely disarmed instantly brings a warm smile to her face.
Alexia leans over the bed to press a gentle kiss to your forehead. âIâm off to training, Iâll be back in the afternoon. My house is your house, and you can grab whatever you want from my closet. Text me if you need anything, Iâll answer as soon as I can.â
Your only answer is a groan of acknowledgment, making Alexia chuckle. She doesnât want to leave, but she has to. She doesnât think I wanted to cuddle with my girlfriend in bed  is a good excuse to be late for training. And it would lead to a lot of questions. Alexia kisses your cheek instead, and you sleepily mumble, âHave a good day, amor.â
Alexiaâs smile grows even wider. âHave a great day too, cariĂąo. See you later.â As she exits the bedroom, you shift under the sheets, settling deeper into the warmth of the covers. Alexia grabs the protein shake she prepared earlier on the counter, snatches her keys, and heads down to her car.
When Alexia arrives at the training ground, a lot of cars are already there. Training more is the way some of her teammates deal with the loss. Alexia can't help but think that a few of them arriving this early during the actual season would have been far more beneficial, a point she may make them understand later on. For now, however, the wound is simply too fresh for everyone.
The session itself carries a sharp, aggressive edge, as if every player on the pitch is trying to prove how good of a footballer they are. It must feel particularly bizarre for the ones who are leaving the club this summer, knowing they wonât even be around to get their revenge next year.
Alexia herself has trouble accepting itâs her last club training with Mapi after so many seasons together. Ona hasnât been with the squad for nearly as long, but her departure will be a massive loss for the team as well. She knows a few other teammates might leave during the offseason too, and she hopes the impending changes wonât weaken the squad for the year ahead.
Alexia formally announces in the locker room right after training that she is officially activating her one-year option for next season, her agent has already announced it to the board. She ignores the sharp, questioning glances from the select few who know more than the rest, like Irene and Patri. The news seems to lift everyoneâs spirits for a fleeting moment, even if the post-loss depression quickly settles back over the squad.
Afterward, the team eats lunch together in the facility's cafeteria, and Alexia feels immensely grateful for Kika, who apparently makes it her personal mission to cheer everyone up. Some would call that behavior a sign of immaturity or a lack of competitiveness, but Alexia knows she does it out of a desire to help everyone around her.
Even the standard sparks of the team, Vicky and Cata, sit staring down at their plates. Alexia makes a mental note to talk to Kika later. She needs to tell the younger player that she is allowed to grieve too, and that carrying the emotional weight of the entire locker room isn't her job.
For now, Vicky is seated directly across from her, playing with her food more than anything else. Then she looks up, and Alexia can feel Vickyâs gaze locked onto her, as if the teenager is trying to figure out a complex puzzle. âHow do you do that ? Be so calm and collected despite the loss.â
Alexia is silent for a moment. She has received plenty of praise throughout her career, but being a graceful loser has never been on the list. To be fair, you coming to her house distracted her. Alexia knows the loss will hit her hard at one point, but youâve delayed it. Thatâs a terrifying thought, so she decides to put it in the back of her mind.
She gives Vicky the scripted response, telling her to lean on family and friends and let them pull her through. It is the safe, hollow answer a captain is supposed to give. The rest of lunch passes mostly in silence, until Patri breaks it.
Itâs as if the universe has decided it wants to punish Alexia for her cowardice. Patri raises her voice for everyone near the end of the meal. âThe Spanish Federation just announced the roster.â She first lists everyone on the squad who made the cut : Cata, Ona, Irene, Mapi, Aitana (it gets a loud cheer), herself, Alexia, Clara, Salma, Claudia, and Vicky.
She then walks over toward Alexia and Vicky, a brilliant smile lighting up her face. âAnd the Federation finally got their heads out of their asses. Jenni is back on the team !â
The first emotion Alexia feels is genuine happiness, because Jenni absolutely deserves this after the utterly disgraceful treatment she has received from everyone at the RFEF. Plus, the national team badly needs a reliable number nine. But then a second realization hits her : you are very likely on that exact same roster, which means you and Jenni will be interacting constantly while you are actively dating Alexia.
This is a nightmare.
If she was worried about her closest friends sniffing out the relationship, Jenni is a certainty. Worse, Jenni loathes you, and Alexia knows the animosity goes both ways. Fuck, fuck, fuck.
âAle, is everything okay ?â Patri asks, her brows furrowing at Alexiaâs distinct lack of enthusiasm for what is supposed to be very good news.
Alexia swallows hard, trying to force her face back into a perfectly neutral expression. âYeah, sorry. I just dissociated for a bit.â Itâs a poor excuse, but Patri lets her have it, not having it in her to micro-analyze Alexiaâs reaction.
She can already see her phone lighting up as the group chat explodes. Alexia opens WhatsApp, types out a quick congratulations to Jenni like she is supposed to, and immediately closes it. Her friends will just assume she is completely buried in her sorrow over Oslo.
Alexia is quietly humming in her car along to RosalĂa, driving home from the training ground. Her mother calls, interrupting the music through the car speakers to invite her over to dinner tonight. Eli is thrilled when she learns that you are still in Barcelona, and Alexia promises to ask you if you want to come along.
She adds strict conditions before hanging up. First, both Alba and her mom must promise not to make the evening an interrogation, keeping it strictly as a casual getting-to-know-you dinner. Second, Alba has to keep her teasing on a tight leash. Third, any discussion regarding her contract is completely off-limits beyond the public announcement of her extension.
Eli is visibly confused about that last rule, but Alexia shuts the questioning down completely, simply forcing her mother to promise to follow the guidelines.
The house is silent when she enters. Alexia checks the home gym first, remembering you mentioned a plan to work out there at some point today, and then she moves to the bedroom, where she doesnât find you either.
Walking over to the window, she looks down at the garden and finally spots you sunbathing on a lounge chair at the edge of the pool. She pauses, letting her eyes fully enjoy the view, the warm sun kissing your skin, which is only covered by a bikini. You are so fucking gorgeous it takes her breath away sometimes.
Considering you havenât realized she is home yet, Alexia takes her time to have a quick shower and change into a swimsuit of her own before heading down to the patio. She isnât entirely sure if you are asleep, since a pair of sunglasses is covering your eyes. Alexiaâs sunglasses, obviously, because apparently thatâs the one item you simply cannot stop stealing. You might benefit from an Oakley sponsorship.
âHow was training ?â Alexia jumps at your voice, making you laugh. âSorry for scaring you, amor.â
Alexia drops a short kiss to your lips before lying on the chair next to you. âI thought you were sleeping,â she explains. Alexia starts to trace small patterns on the inside of your forearm, you let out a small sound of appreciation that makes her smile. âEveryone is down at training, expected after that kind of loss.â
You hum in quiet acknowledgment, shifting slightly under the sun. âHow is Vicky doing ? She stopped sending me Stitch memes every day, Iâm getting worried.â
Seeing you look out for Vicky softens something deep in Alexia's chest. The kid is like her annoying little sister, so you two getting along, without Vicky even knowing Alexia is in a relationship with you, is precious. âLast year taught her a lot about knowing how to lose.â The youngsters came all the time to Alexiaâs house at the time, and she let them because they needed to talk under the pretense of annoying her or playing games.
âBetter to learn it sooner than later,â you state. Alexia agrees, even the greatest donât spend their whole career winning, too many variables in football for that to happen. âShe lost a bet with me by the way.â
That piques Alexiaâs interest, red flags rising in her mind. She still remembers the Levante story. âWhat was it ?â
âI was supposed to do a TikTok dance with her if you guys won,â you explain, looking thoroughly pleased with yourself. âBut you didn't, so now she has to wear my Real Madrid jersey, say Hala Madrid in front of the camera, and let me post it on my Instagram stories.â You seem immensely proud of your scheme. Vicky clearly brings out the more playful, childish side of you. Alexia isnât sure she likes your connection anymore.
âThe two ends of the bet are absolutely not even,â Alexia counters. You give her a dismissive shrug, prompting her to pinch your arm, earning a loud yelp. âAre you out of your mind ? The press would have an absolute field day with her.â
You seem to ponder her words for a moment, adjusting your posture. âPeople wonât take it for more than it is, Ale. Everyone will obviously get that it was just a lost bet. Vicky is from Madrid anyway, itâs already a massive shame she isnât a Real fan.â
âItâs because sheâs sane,â Alexia quips. You lift your sunglasses to shoot her a dark look, which has zero effect on her considering she is more than happy to just stare into your eyes. Deciding it's best to change the subject before the two of you spiral into a classic club debate that has no real winner, she clears her throat. âMy mami called. She wants us to come over for dinner tonight.â Alexia feels the muscles under her fingertips tense.
âAre you sure ?â Your voice remains carefully neutral, leaving Alexia to guess at the exact nature of your hesitation.
âIf I didnât want you there, I simply wouldnât have brought it up,â Alexia counters. She isnât the type to play petty mind games, mostly because she knows she is terrible at them.
âFair point. Iâm in,â you say, the playful edge returning to your words, a clear sign that her directness has eased your nerves. âOn one condition : you let me raid your closet for an outfit.â
âYouâre asking as if you havenât been actively stealing things from me anyway.â Alexia gently taps the sunglasses resting on the bridge of your nose, and you lazily swat her hand away.
Instead of pulling away completely, she shifts her palm down to your stomach. Your skin is exceptionally smooth and soft, your abs relaxed considering youâve been chilling on the lounge chair for quite some time now. The moment her hand rests there, you instinctively flex them, causing Alexia to roll her eyes, forgetting for a split second that you canât even see her expression through the lenses. âYour afternoon wasnât too boring ?â
You have stayed longer in Barcelona solely for her, and she spent most of the day at Joan Gamper while you remained behind at the house. You must sense her subtle anxiety, because your answer comes quickly. âI was out here by the pool the whole morning finishing my book, ate the last leftovers from your mom for lunch, spent the afternoon in your gym, and now I'm back here. Donât worry, amor, the day was great.â
Alexia nods, happy with your answer. She missed you so much today, itâs ridiculous to feel this codependent when the relationship is still so fresh. Needing to erase the space between you, Alexia suddenly moves, laying herself on top of you. You let out a surprised laugh as your arms wrap around her waist to steady her. She can feel almost all of your skin pressed flush against hers, radiating heat from the sun, carrying the faint smell of sunscreen.
âYouâre comfortable,â she whispers against your neck. You start to run your fingers on her back, tracing the lines of her tattoos, and Alexia settles even closer to you. She appreciates that you donât comment on her clinginess. People usually take Alexiaâs seriousness and authority in football as a sign that itâs how she is in real life. Itâs almost vexing when theyâre surprised sheâs way softer than they thought.
âYou do realize itâs gonna fuck up our tan, right ?â
Alexia opens her mouth to tell you she doesn't give a damn, but the words evaporate when your palm moves down to cup her ass. The intent is unmistakable, and Alexia is more than ready to lose herself in the distraction.
Sheâs about to let it go further when her phone rings, getting a groan out of both of you. Itâs her agency who wants to settle the last details about the contract renewal announcement after the game against Sociedad. I donât care is not considered an acceptable answer, and it apparently canât wait until tomorrow, everything has to be planned today. Frustration radiates from both of you the whole call.
-----------
By the time the call ends, it is already time to get ready for dinner. You are a bundle of nerves, aggressively shifting through Alexiaâs entire wardrobe while she simply watches you, entirely unbothered, which only serves to frustrate you even more.
The space is supposed to be a walk-in closet, but it is easily big enough to function as a spare bedroom. âHow many designer pieces do you even have in here ?â you ask, eyeing a potential top with a highly critical look. âI canât even see how you manage to wear half of them in your daily life.â
She quietly steps up behind you, circling her arms securely around your waist and dropping a soft kiss on your shoulder. âCariĂąo,â she murmurs teasingly, âshe already saw you wearing a full Real Madrid tracksuit. Trust me, the bar is on the floor, it can't get worse than that.â
âItâs not the time, Alexia,â you mutter. She seems to finally catch on to your frustration, immediately shifting into a helpful partner as she guides you toward settling on a simple white tee shirt and a pair of blue jeans. You complain that the look is far too basic, but she firmly insists that it is perfectly fine for a casual family dinner.
Then she throws on a crop top and low-rise denim, destroying whatever focus you had left. Itâs borderline criminal how good she looks in basic clothes. The truth is, you havenât slept with her since she officially became your girlfriend. Considering the fragile state of her mental health after the loss, you obviously have zero intention of complaining about it. Even if she simply didnât want to for no reason at all, you still wouldnât complain. But that doesnât mean you arenât feeling incredibly frustrated.
As you head toward Mollet, the subject of the national team call-up list comes up. You don't bother hiding your annoyance about Jenni's return, though you accept the reality of it. There isnât much to say about it with Alexia, she simply says she hopes the two of you will remain cordial. You promise to be civil, despite not even believing your own words. You know you will rummage over it in the next few days, but you refuse to let it affect your night with her.
The anxiety about dinner starts creeping back in as you get closer, and Alexia detects the shift. She does some detours around Mollet to show you all her favorite places growing up, from the football pitch she first played on to the park her parents used to bring Alba and her. The view into little Alexia's life does make you relax.
She pulls over outside a neighborhood bakery to grab a pastry box, leaving you in the passenger seat. Neither of you needs the media circus that would erupt if you were spotted running errands with Barcelona's captain in her hometown. Alexia slips back into the car, drops the bakery bag into your lap, and shifts into drive for the final leg of the trip.
When you are standing directly in front of her momâs door, Alexia kisses you one last time to make sure everything is okay before finally knocking. The door swings wide open a second later, revealing Alba with a massive, highly entertained grin. Alexia immediately throws her a sharp, non-verbal donât even start look that you catch from the corner of your eye.
Against all your worst-case scenarios, the night is remarkably easy. Eli welcomes you with open arms, genuinely curious about your life while you find some common ground with Alba because your sister is also a teacher. Alexia adds to the conversation but doesnât control it, apparently relaxed at you meeting her family. It impresses you, because you definitely wonât be as calm when she meets yours.
There are no trap questions about your future intention, or how you both plan to make a high-profile, long-distance relationship work despite the demands of your jobs. They seem entirely focused on simply knowing you as a person, so much so that you are certain Alexia strictly briefed them at one point.
You exit right after the meal, having cleared your plate and helped wash the dishes, using your early morning flight as a polite excuse to head out. Alexia puts her arm securely around your hips and kisses the side of your head the moment you are out the door, right after you promise to have dinner with them again the next time you are in Barcelona. âSo, it wasn't that bad, right ?â Alexia says cheekily.
You give her a theatrical roll of your eyes, though your shoulder immediately leans into her chest as the elevator doors close, taking you down to the garage. âThey were really nice,â you admit easily, leaning up to kiss her cheek. âThey made me feel very welcome.â
Alexia gives you a real smile at that, warm, soft, and completely unguarded. âI wouldnât have made you meet them so soon if they werenât like that.â
âYour sister was actually on her best behavior,â you note.
Alexia snorts. âOkay, I will admit I may have threatened her a bit earlier. Just so you know, I will endure relentless teasing from her next time we see each other because I tried to keep the peace tonight.â
You kiss her softly, and she reacts immediately, the hand against your hip gripping the fabric of your shirt to bring you closer. Youâre interrupted by the ding of the elevator that announces youâre in the parking lot. âCome on,â she murmurs against your mouth, her breath warm. âLetâs get home.â
The drive home is spent with Alexia explaining in deeper detail anecdotes that were alluded to at dinner. You canât help feeling sorry for her parents when Alexia recounts the time she broke a window by playing football in the living room, leading to a no football inside the apartment rule. In response, you tell her about the time your brother and you broke the TV when doing a juggling tournament.
The nighttime routine goes fluidly once youâre at her house. You have little enough stuff that it doesnât require much packing to get ready to take the plane the next morning.
When the lights go out, you pull yourself onto her chest, letting the sound of her heartbeat soothe you. When her fingers start drifting lower, you intercept them, reminding her that she has a game to play tomorrow and a brutal morning alarm to suffer through for your sake, not to mention her exhaustion from the past few days. She offers a dramatic pout but relents, pulling you tight instead.
Dawn comes too quickly, and the ride to the terminal is a quiet, sleepy affair. Saying goodbye doesn't sting as badly when you know that sheâll be sleeping in your bed in less than a week. Even so, you completely lose yourselves making out in the front seat like high school kids, still tracking the minutes on the console so a lingering kiss doesn't cost you your flight.
The final weekend of the domestic calendar comes soon enough. Thereâs this weird air of anticipation around the team. Nothing to play for, but still this want to end the season on a high note.
The club hosts a massive gala to celebrate the past season, a traditional bittersweet milestone that you are still genuinely looking forward to. End-of-season goodbyes usually bring a sense of closure, and there are always one or two legendary anecdotes that form during the night.
As the captain, you are tasked every single year with delivering the main commemorative speech, followed by small, personal tributes to the players who are officially leaving the club.
Barcelona had their own party after the game against Real Sociedad, made even better by Alexia announcing her renewal to the world. She broke her sober-during-the-season rule, judging by the blurry pictures she kept sending you, alongside a chaotic stream of slurred voice notes and shaky videos. Apparently, Alexia is a happy drunk. Itâs also the night you receive the first signs of life from both Aitana and Vicky after the loss, reassuring you.
You are heading straight to the party from the stadium, so you handed your house keys over to Aitana when you met her for coffee that morning, trusting her to deliver them to Alexia.
It is on this occasion that Alexia officially learns that Aitana has known about the two of you all along. You feel a bit guilty for completely forgetting to mention it to her, but in your defense, you simply didn't view it as critical information, and you genuinely assumed Alexia had already guessed. Alexia, however, strongly disagrees with your logic, judging by the angry voice note you received, even if she apologized hours later.
The victory against Granada is a close one, Real Madrid goes up 3â0 early, but the match finishes in a tense 3â2. The narrow margin does nothing to ruin the celebratory mood.
The opening hours of the gala are the worst part, a formal dinner with everyone involved in the club, including the higher-ups who only show up for appearances and a free gourmet meal, alongside the corporate sponsors who are just there to look good on Instagram. The most powerful executives don't even dignify the team with their presence, and the lower ones who do show up leave the second it is considered polite. Nobody misses them anyway.
The turning point is always the speeches. Theyâre a reminder of the human part of it all, why teammates will always be a bit more than coworkers. You even manage to make Misa cry during your goodbye speech, to everyone's astonishment.
You watch your teammates slowly descend into various states of drunkenness, some of them significantly more worrying than others. You are right in the middle of typing a response to Alexiaâs text message about how to properly run your dishwasher when Misa suddenly throws a heavy, alcohol-warmed arm around your shoulders. âWill we see each other when you visit your girl in London ?â
It takes your brain a few seconds to catch up with what sheâs saying. You entirely forgot that lie, because the team has mostly left you alone about it these last few days. âWe will see.â
Misa scoffs and shakes your shoulder. âDonât give me that. You look at your phone like a lovesick teenager and turn bright red the second we press for details.â She leans in, a drunken, scheming grin on her face. âCome on, Cap. Let me see a picture. Consider it a parting gift for making me cry earlier.â
You do consider it for a few instants, starting to feel genuinely bad for all the lies. Then you remember Misa is more friends with Alexia than with you, Alexiaâs reaction to learning that Aitana knows, and you come to the conclusion that it isnât your place to tell her without checking with your girlfriend first. Girlfriend, the label still sends a strange, electric jolt through your chest when attached to Alexia.
âIt's still way too fresh for introductions,â you dodge, keeping your voice casual.
Youâve met her family.
Misa groans, shaking her head. âYouâve been sneaking around for two months, Cap. That card has expired. Come on, give me something. Is she a football player ? Is she married or in another relationship ?â She stares intently into your eyes, hunting for a tell, but your expression remains a total blank slate. âUgh, I hate your poker face. Let me guess. Leah Williamson ? Alessia Russo ? Keira Walsh ? Lauren James ? Hannah Hampton ?â
You canât help but laugh. âGreat to see youâve been doing your homework for our game next week.â
Misa locks her gaze onto yours, hunting for a crack in your defenses, but you just offer an amused arch of your brow. Her stubbornness finally breaks, and she lets out a long breath. âDo you realize how weird itâs going to be for me to not have you as my center back next season ?â
The abrupt change of subject wipes the smile off your face. âIâm not the one leaving,â you point out softly.
âDid you think about it ?â Thereâs a distinct layer of insecurity bleeding into her words now. Itâs as if you saying no would somehow diminish the love and loyalty she holds for the club.
You look at her, realizing you owe her the truth on this one. âYeah,â you admit quietly, the weight of the past few months hitting you all at once. âI actually had a complete meltdown during the last Spain camp.â
A flash of recognition passes over her face. âYou were acting weird, yeah. I honestly thought it was about your girl.â She pauses, her eyes narrowing as she processes the timeline. âIs that why you talked to Ale so much ? Was she trying to convince you to come to Barça? Eva swore that's what was happening.â
You thought that line of thought was over for your teammates, but apparently not. You have to find a quick reason for talking to Alexia so much. You almost feel bad for Misa, sheâs so close to the right conclusion, yet so far.
âNo, she wasnât,â you answer firmly. âAlexia understands a kind of loyalty that goes far beyond the badge. The kind thatâs tied to a specific city and to deep memories. She gets it without being emotionally involved in Real Madrid itself, and she helped me see the bigger picture.â
Thereâs something in Misaâs eyes, as if it surprises her a bit from Alexia, but she doesnât touch it. âThe bigger picture made you stay ?â There isn't surprise in her voice this time, not exactly. Itâs curiosity, mostly because Misa faced the same internal debate as you, only she arrived at a different conclusion. You realize in that moment that she might have even discussed the topic with Alexia herself.
âI donât think I would have stayed if Madrid wasnât my city.â You both took the right decision for yourselves. Not all roads lead to Madrid.
Misa studies your expression, tracking the sincerity in your eyes, and satisfies herself that you aren't just trying to soften the blow for her. âLook, I know I was pushing your buttons about London,â she murmurs, âbut I mean it. I donât want our friendship to just exist within the national team bubble.â
Itâs always been hard for you, qualifying your relationship with Misa. Sheâs the one that youâve always spent the most time with off the pitch. But you saw each other so much between training, games, and travel that your time off always stayed limited.
She did invite you on vacation after your first season together, in 2021, along with other football players, but you couldnât go because you were going on your first vacation with Elena and it was already booked. After that, conflicts started to arise, and youâre quite sure Misa's other football friends didnât want you there.
Then you think of Alexia, who was fumbling with your dishwasher minutes ago, and you realize you might actually see Misa outside of football more often than you imagined at first. Then it scares you that youâre thinking this much ahead.
âIâm sure we will, I will even let you meet my girl.â You wink at her, and she breaks into a smile, the small, completely genuine one that she doesnât show often enough. You internally note that you will need to have a serious conversation with Alexia about what the actual plan is regarding telling people, because what the two of you are doing right now isnât going to be manageable long term.
Misa gets up, offering her hand down to you. âSince when are we this sappy ? Are we getting old ?â You take her hand to stand up, letting out a genuine laugh.
âThe drama of professional sports,â you state, and you both head toward your dancing teammates.
The clock on the wall reads 3:00 AM when you finally slide your key into the lock. The apartment instantly breathes a quiet confirmation that sheâs here : her sneakers are paired with yours by the door, her jacket is neatly draped on the hook, and the kitchen carries the faint scent of a home-cooked tomato sauce. You drop your bag soundlessly, letting the golden glare of the city streetlights guide you down the hallway without flipping a switch.
The bedroom door is slightly ajar, and you can hear the soft, rhythmic sound of her deep breathing before you even step inside. Alexia is sprawled out on her stomach, the sheets kicked down to her waist, leaving the smooth expanse of her bare back completely exposed.
Youâve spent years cursing the street lamp positioned directly outside your window, but watching the light map the lines of her tattoos makes you take it all back. The sight of Alexia sleeping topless might genuinely be the death of you.
You quietly grab a pair of cotton shorts from your dresser and head toward the guest bathroom. You know you desperately need to wash off the night, but there is absolutely no way to run a shower without waking her up. You are certain you smell like spilled alcohol without having had a single drop to drink yourself.
After washing up as best as you can, you carefully slide into bed right next to her. Every instinct in your body wants to immediately pull her into a tight cuddle, but you hold yourself back to let her have her peace. You feel a quiet wave of pride when she doesn't even flinch as you settle into the mattress.
Youâre groggy when you first start to emerge. You try to burrow deeper into your pillow to block out the world, but your brain jolts awake the exact second you realize your pillow is solid muscle. You let out a low groan, and Alexia immediately starts to drag her fingers gently down your bare back when she realizes you are finally awake. âHola, cari,â she whispers softly, pressing a tender kiss to the very top of your head.
You struggle to open your eyes as the bright daylight hits your face, quickly hiding your face in the crook of Alexiaâs neck to escape it. âItâs too early,â you complain, your voice thick with sleep.
Alexia laughs softly, and you can feel the quiet vibration of her chest shaking underneath you. âItâs eleven in the morning.â
That piece of information does wake you up completely. âReally ?â You shift slightly within her embrace so you are looking directly up at her. âYou should have woken me up sooner. How long have you been awake ?â
âTwo hours,â she shrugs casually. You instantly feel a wave of guilt wash over you. âItâs okay, cari. If it were bothering me, I would have gotten out of bed. I like having you in my arms.â She is entirely too romantic for your foggy, morning brain. You lean up to kiss her jawline, feeling her smile form directly against your lips.
âCome on, letâs not waste any more time.â You move away from her, earning a groan of disappointment. You grab a shirt from your dresser for yourself, putting it on quickly, and throw one at her too.
âYou looked better five minutes ago,â she teases, her eyes tracking you. You just roll your eyes at her smug grin, fighting a smile of your own.
The start of the day is lazy. Breakfast consists of coffee on the balcony, stretch out together on the lounger with your back pressed against her chest. Then the heat forces you back inside, where you eat lunch sprawled across the living room sofa.
Itâs early enough in the relationship to have tons of things to say and discover about each other, and the afternoon is filled with words and laughter. You get Alexia to play poker with you just because you thoroughly enjoy the defeated look on her face every time she realizes sheâs been bluffed. She keeps playing, because Alexia is the type of person who tries again and again until she gets it right. She doesnât.
What youâre doing for the night was debated on FaceTime a few days ago. The first instinct was to stay in, because of the risk of getting recognized. But the stubborn urge to be a normal couple and enjoy a real night out won the day.
You compromised on an ultra-exclusive restaurant where the menu prices act as a natural filter, the demographic paying those bills couldn't care less about women's sports, and on the off chance they recognize two World Cup winners, theyâre far too concerned with their own status to cause a scene.
It is also the perfect occasion to dress up. Alexia and you prepare yourselves simultaneously in the two separate bathrooms. You opted for a sleek black dress, modest and formal enough for the restaurant, but that hugs your curves in specific ways that should absolutely do something to Alexia's composure.
You are waiting for her on the couch when you suddenly hear the click of her heels, causing your head to turn toward her. Your breath is immediately taken away. Alexia is wearing a stunning navy dress. The fabric looks incredibly expensive, and truthfully, so does she. You haven't seen Alexia in fancy clothes and elegant makeup since the two of you officially started dating.
What a view.
You rise to your feet, and her focus drops instantly, tracking the silhouette of your black dress. âAmor, my eyes are up here,â you tease, catching her gaze getting stuck a bit too low.
âI was just admiring your necklace,â she jokes back, looking up with a wicked glint in her eye. âDo we really have to go to dinner ? Canât we just stay right here ?â
You canât help but laugh at her whining. âLetâs go, Ale. It would be a shame to be late for a place this nice.â
The restaurant is located a bit outside of Madrid, suggested by a close friend. Alexia cannot tear her eyes away from you the entire time you are driving. Your right hand is intertwined with hers on her thigh, her thumb lazily caressing your knuckles. She lifts your hand to drop a tender kiss on the back of it, groaning in frustration when she realizes she has to wipe a smudge of lipstick off your skin, which makes you chuckle.
Your amusement instantly vanishes when the sudden clack of a releasing seatbelt echoes through the car. âWhat exactly do you think youâre doing ?â
She retrieves her phone from her purse while you fight to keep your focus strictly on the road ahead. âThis look is entirely too good to not capture a car selfie. Plus, the seatbelt is hiding a major part of the dress.â
You stare ahead, gobsmacked. âI thought you were supposed to be the sensible one. Weâre on the road, Ale. Put the belt back on,â you command.
Your captain's voice has little effect on her. She calmly snaps a few more pictures, entirely unfazed, before finally buckling herself back into the passenger seat safely.
You let out a sigh of relief.
When you get out of the car, you press your palm against the smooth fabric covering Alexiaâs lower back as you cross the threshold of the restaurant. The venue strikes the exact balance you hoped for, classy without overdoing it. The hostess smoothly guides you directly to your table, without an ounce of recognition showing in her eyes as she reviews the name on your reservation.
As you settle into the leather chairs, you find yourself completely distracted, tracking every shift in Alexiaâs posture as she scans the menu. Sheâs pulled her hair back, a choice that frames her face and draws attention to the hoops in her ears. The updo also allows your eyes to slowly trace the clean contours of her neck and the sharp line of her jaw. The navy dress itself perfectly highlights the strong, sculpted lines of her shoulders and arms.
âAny idea what youâre going to order ?â You jump slightly, caught off guard by the sound of her voice. The knowing look in her eyes tells you that she is fully aware you havenât read a single syllable on the menu.
âI have a very good idea,â you answer smoothly, tracking your gaze up and down her body. The dark pink blush that creeps onto her cheeks is adorable.
Dinner is fantastic. The food itself is exceptional, but your company is even better. Just as you had hoped, the other patrons donât pay you any mind.
By the time dessert arrives, the conversation naturally shifts toward the upcoming off-season. You catch Alexia anxiously twisting a ring around her finger, her usual confidence faltering just a fraction. You arch a brow. âJust ask what you want to ask, amor.â
The callout stops her movements. Her tongue pokes the inside of her cheek as she considers her words. âIâm going to Mexico in July, for my foundation work and then for a vacation. I looked at the schedule, and I could easily extend the trip by a few days. I wondered if you wanted to come along, so we could spend some time together after everyone else leaves. Just the two of us.â
It does something to your heart. The idea of spending a few uninterrupted days with Alexia on the other side of the world, in a private resort where most people have no idea who you are, sounds like paradise.
âI would love to,â you tell her, reaching out to lace your fingers through hers, your thumb tracing the sensitive skin of her palm. âIâm supposed to visit a friend in Los Angeles around then anyway, so the flight down to Mexico fits perfectly.â
Alexia beams instantly, looking as if she had genuinely prepared herself for you to say no. âPerfect, I will look into setting it all up then. Our friend group avoids inviting partners to the entire vacation because it can get distracting, but you could easily come one or two days earlier to see everyone. My mami will be there, and Alba is coming with her girlfriend, too.â
Itâs obvious Alexia has been running this entire itinerary through her mind for days, a trait you find incredibly endearing. âYou go to Mexico every single year with your friends and family, right ? Iâve seen that on your Instagram.â
Alexiaâs smile turns instantly teasing. âOh, so youâve been checking my Instagram, have you ?â She laughs delightedly as the heat rushes back into your cheeks, turning you a deep red.
âNot my fault you post so many bikini pics,â you counter, throwing your hands up in mock defense. âBut seriously, do you know we don't even follow each other ?â
The smug look vanishes from Alexia's face, replaced by a sudden, incredibly guilty flush of red. âRight. About that... I may have hit the block button on your account back when I was mad at you. It forced a mutual unfollow.â
Perhaps a part of you should feel a little hurt by the revelation, but you really aren't, you completely get it. You smoothly recenter the conversation. âSo, you really love Mexico, then ?â
âI go often because of the foundation, and itâs a great vacation place so I invite people along. I can get deals with resorts, too. Also, no paparazzi there care about me.â
You scrunch your nose slightly at the mention of the media. âYeah, they literally took pictures of me and my friends in Ibiza once, as if anyone on the planet actually cared about that.â
Alexia looks amused by this new piece of information. âFrom everything youâve ever told me about your circle, you don't exactly strike me as the foam-party, club-hopping type.â
âThree of us went through breakups in the exact same summer. We needed to burn off some steam.â And burn off some steam you did. Your body count had an impressive rise during that week, truly wild memories, looking back on it. There is, however, no need to specify this to Alexia right now.
âBut yeah, the paparazzi here in Spain can be absolute hell,â Alexia admits, taking a brief pause as she processes the thought. âIâve completely given up on having any real privacy during my vacations here.â She stops for a moment, an idea clearly forming. âWeâre going to Ibiza right after preseason ends, alongside with other football players. You should come along if you want to, people wonât link the two of us specifically.â
âSo youâre planning to tell your football friends about us ?â
Alexia bites her lower lip, messing up her lipstick a bit in the process. âI mean, youâre my girlfriend. I donât plan to hide you from my friends.â She takes a brief pause, her focus shifting downward. âI just... haven't figured out the delivery.â She is actively avoiding your eyes now. âThey will have an opinion on it, and I honestly donât want to hear it.â
The words sting a little, but you donât let it show on your face. Itâs your fault if the situation is what it is, doesnât mean it doesnât hurt.
âIbiza will be a good moment to tell them, whether you come or not,â she continues, finding her resolve again. âI will tell the Barça girls at the start of preseason. We usually do tons of team bonding then.â
She has really thought this through, and she genuinely plans to tell the last group of people who matter soon enough. It makes the relationship feel incredibly real now. Looking at her under the soft restaurant lights, you realize you want it. The U-Haul stereotypes are turning out to be accurate. âIâll give you an answer on Ibiza soon.â
She nods, the tension melting from her shoulders. âDonât worry about it too much, it can completely be a last-minute decision. Itâs not like you will need to book another room in the villa weâre renting.â She throws you a wink so painfully uncoordinated that you canât restrain a loud laugh.
âWeâve officially found something else youâre absolutely terrible at, besides poker,â you joke, leaning back in your chair.
âI donât know why everyone says that, I have definitely improved,â she pouts, and your heart completely melts. She winks at you a second time as if to prove she can actually pull it off. It is completely ridiculous, breaking the last of the tension as you both laugh together.
After some battle, youâre the one who wins the right to pay for dinner, justifying it with the fact that youâre in your city. Alexia reluctantly concedes defeat, but she promises to give it back when youâre together in Barcelona.

A/n : So at first I wasn't planning at all to have Alexia wanting to leave Barça. Then on Friday I saw all the itws where she said she never wanted to retire there, plus @solongmylove818 comment on AO3 regarding how losing the UWCL final was the perfect way to justify Alexia staying, and I decided to include the contract part.
Also, we're getting close to the Jenni and r interactions đ
And Ale needs to get better at this communication thing, doesn't she ? đŹ
See you soon for the second part of the chapter !
Got me sat waiting for part 2 now, amazing as always đ
Just want to give you lot some infomation about Under Her Command. I am going looking at posting a new part every 3-5 days and will write on my masterlist when it is coming out after the post is scheduled.
Also wanted to say I know the dialogue and flow of the writing is off, and it'll get better over time. I'm normally only writing for myself, so I never normally go back and realise it's off.
Once again, thank you for reading, and please send ideas for what you want to see in upcoming parts!
Y/n instantly knew three things when she got to the garage. The black car parked over the road had not been there 5 minutes ago, the engine she was working on was not broken by accident, and whoever owned this garage had very high security but very little interest in making it obvious.
The garage itself was between a closed print shop and a narrow set of apartments. Nothing about the garage looked interesting, it had faded shutters, an iron side door and no sign above the entrance. It was the sort of building most people would walk past without a single glance, but y/n noticed it straight away.
The vehicle in front of her was a black SUV, which made no sense to have in such a deserted garage like this. It was armoured and way too clean. The car's bonnet was propped open, leaving its engine exposed, heat still mixing with the wet cold air.Â
She was called here twenty-six minutes ago by a man who offered her no name, hardly any details, and way too much money up front. That was probably her first warning to leave, and she nearly took it.Â
But then the car made a clicking noise, not random it was something that had been purposely tampered with. Y/n had learned to ignore a lot of things, like a garage with too many cameras, and a street that suddenly felt empty. But ignoring bad mechanical work? Absolutely not. So she stayed, and just like that, with a torch between her teeth, she was arms deep in the car's wiring.
After a while, y/n heard the soft sound of footsteps in puddles, but she didn't turn around straight away.
âBit late for a walkâ, she said around the torch.
No answer except another footstep, then another, definitely more than one person. Three, maybe four sets of footsteps. Y/n slowly pulled the torch from her mouth and set it on the engine bay as her pulse picked up. She hated that, not the fear itself, but how her body was starting to react without her thinking first. As she wiped her oily fingers on a cloth, she finally glanced over her shoulder.
A woman was standing just inside the garage entrance, and behind her were two men in dark clothing, both silent. Y/n glanced at them, then back to the woman.
âLet me guessâ, Y/n said. âYou're here about the warrantyâ.
The woman's eyebrows lifted slightly, not amusement but interest.
âYouâre Y/n?â she said.
Y/n leaned against the SUV. âDepends who's askingâ.
âMisaâ.
âThat's not an answer. That's just a nameâ.
âIt's the only one you're gettingâ.
Y/n hummed, looking her over. âDrammatic. Do you practise that in the mirror, or is it just natural?â
One of the men shifted, however, Misa did not. That was probably the first thing Y/n respected about her, not liked but respected. There was a difference, and Y/n is very careful about differences.
Misa stepped fully into the garage. âYou need to come with usâ.
Y/n laughed once. âYeah, Noâ.
Misa tilted her head slightly. âThat wasn't a requestâ.
âFunny, as it sounded like one from over hereâ.
âIt wasn't.â Misa sighed. âYou saw something you shouldn't have seenâ.
Y/nâs mind flicked through the past twenty minutes before remembering the van and the two men unloading sealed crates from the back. She had seen a delivery of some type, not enough to understand it, but enough to become a problem.
Y/n folded her arms. âWell, I see a lot of things. You see, I'm very observant. It's part of my charmâ.
âYou have no idea what you walked intoâ.
Y/N lifted both hands, palms outward. âLook, I donât know what you think I saw, but Iâm very willing to forget it. I forget things all the time. Birthdays. Appointments. Peopleâs names when they bore me.â
Misa slowly approached. âThat's not enoughâ.
âWorth a tryâ.
âLast chance. Walkâ.
The side door was too far to make a run to, the men were too close, but maybe she could use a wrench to get past a guard. But then what, run without knowing how many more waited outside for her? That's just bad odds, and Y/n hated bad odds just as much as she hated being told what to do.
She sighed. âCan I at least ask where weâre going?â
âNoâ.
âCan I ask who wants me?â
âNoâ
Y/N dropped her hands. âFineâ.
Misa blinked at that, and so did the guards. As y/n bent down to pick up her tool bag, Misa stopped her.
âNoâ, Misa said.
Y/n froze with one hand wrapped around the strap. âThat bag is worth more than anything I ownâ.
âYou can get it laterâ.
Misa reached for the bag herself, opened it, quickly searched it, then removed the wrench and knife from beneath the rag without even looking remotely surprised, and handed the bag to one of the guards.
âCuteâ, Misa said as she looked back at her. âYou're so predictableâ.
Y/Nâs smile sharpened. âIf you think that, then youâre not as clever as you lookâ.
For a second, the room went silent, then Misa stepped aside and gestured toward the car door.
âWalkâ.
Y/n walked, not because she was obeying, but because she had decided it was the smart thing to do to gather some information. Misa walked beside her, not behind.
Y/n glanced at the car waiting for them. âIs this the part where you shove me in the boot?â
Misa sighed as she opened the rear door. âNo, get inâ.
Her hand landed between Y/nâs shoulder blades, not hard but guiding.Â
Y/n instantly twisted away. âDonâtâ.
Misaâs eyes narrowed.
Y/nâs voice stayed light, but beneath it something sharpened. âI said donât push meâ.
For a second, no one moved. Misa said nothing before removing her hand as Y/n climbed into the back seat on her own, then Misa got in beside her. Of course, she did.
As the car slid through the city, Y/n's thoughts moved fast. Who were they? Was the delivery connected to the SUV? Was this a cleanup or an interrogation? Would they kill her if she lied? Would they kill her if she told the truth? Could she talk her way out? Could she annoy them enough to make someone careless? The last option was her favourite, definitely not the safest, but the most fun.
Misaâs phone buzzed once, and as she checked it, Y/n angled her head slightly, only for Misa to turn the screen away before she could read it.
âBit paranoidâ, Y/N said.
As the car turned underground, Y/nâs stomach tightened, but she kept her face neutral. The car came to a stop by a lift, and Misa got out first, then opened the door from the outside. Y/N stepped out, looked around, and counted six cameras before anyone spoke.
âWow,â she said. âSomeone has trust issues.â
Misa came around the car. âSomeone has survived because of themâ.
Y/N glanced at her. âThat sounded personalâ.
âIt was practicalâ.
âEverything with you people is practicalâ.
âWith us people?â
âKidnappers. Secret garage enthusiasts. Men who wear black indoorsâ.
When the lift doors opened, Misa gestured for her to enter. Y/n looked at the lift, then at Misa, then at the lift again before making a decision.
âNoâ.
Misa sighed. âY/nâ.
âOh, first name basis. Weâre moving fastâ.
âGet in the liftâ.
âNot until you tell me where it goesâ.
âUpâ.
Y/n just stared at Misa as the silence stretched, she hated that the answer amused her. So she stepped inside, as Misa and one guard followed.Â
The lift was mirrored, and for the first time that night, Y/n saw herself clearly. Wet hair, grease on her jaw, jacket soaked and eyes too bright. She looked like trouble. Next to her stood Misa, posture loose but ready, hands folded in front of her.Â
Y/n watched her reflection.âSo who am I meeting?â
Misa offered nothing.
âBoss? Client?â
Nothing.
âEx with a grudge?â
Still nothing.
Y/n just clicked her tongue. âTough crowdâ.
When the doors opened, they stepped out into a hallway that smelled of expensive wood and leather. The lighting was low, warm, and controlled. Ahead of them, two guards stood near a dark door at the end of the hall, and as Misa approached, they moved. Y/n filed that away, it was clear there was a hierarchy here.
Misa stopped before the door and looked at Y/N. âListen carefully, you're about to meet someone who has much less patience for your mouth than I doâ.
Y/n smirked. âSo you admit you do have patience for my mouthâ.
Misaâs eyes narrowed, causing Y/nâs smirk to grow wider. They kept each other's gaze for a second longer before Misa opened the door.
As Y/n walked in, she noticed that the room was large, high above the city, and very private. There were tall glass windows overlooking Barcelona and a long, dark table, almost completely bare except for a single phone and a glass of water. Next, she saw the guards, there were two near the windows and two more by a second door. Lastly, she saw the woman, Alexia, standing near the windows, watching the city below her. She had a dark suit on, her hair pulled back, and Y/n can't help herself when her eyes wander.Â
Alexia slowly turned around then, forcing Y/ns attention to snap back. Alexia's face was calm and blank in a way that showed she was hiding nothing. Y/n guessed that most people found that terrifying, but to Y/n, it was just plain irritating. Alexiaâs gaze moved over her once, but in no way that felt casual. Was it assessment?
âYou were at my garageâ, Alexia said, her voice controlled, low and way too smooth.
âWas I? I didnât see a signâ.
Misa closed her eyes briefly behind her as Y/n feels deeply pleased with herself, but Alexia doesn't react, not even a blink. The air in the room seemed to tighten as Alexia walked towards the table, picked up the glass, and placed it closer to the chair opposite her.
âSitâ, Alexia said.
Y/n glanced at the chair and then Alexia. âNo, thanksâ.
Alexia looked at Y/n for a long moment, then pulled out her own chair and sat. Smooth and completely unbothered, as if Y/n refusing had been expected. That felt way worse than being ordered again.
Alexia simply folded one leg over the other. âStand thenâ.
Y/n narrowed her eyes. If she had one word to describe Alexia so far, it would be annoying. Very annoying. Y/n huffed before sitting, not because Alexia had won, but because her legs were tired, obviously. Alexia's eyes slightly flickered, but Y/n saw it anyway.
âYou look pleased with yourselfâ, Y/n said.
âI often amâ.
Y/n leaned back off guard. âAt least you're honestâ.
âOnly when it's usefulâ.
âCharmingâ.
âI do try to be,â Alexia replied quickly, a small smirk forming.
Y/n just swallows heavily, regaining her composure.
Alexiaâs attention sharpened slightly, not in anger but in interest. She rested one hand on the table. âDo you know who I am?â
Y/n debated lying but decided it was pointless. âI have a theoryâ.
âTell meâ.
âYouâre either the most intense club owner in Barcelona, or I've been dragged into something deeply illegalâ.
Alexia's mouth didn't react, but her eyes did, a tiny hidden amusement. Y/n caught it and felt a ridiculous spark of triumph.
Alexia's face changed as she glanced at Misa. âDragged?â
Misaâs expression didn't change. âShe walkedâ.
Y/n scoffed, mumbling under her breath. âUnder threatâ.
Alexia hears it, of course, she does, she misses nothing. She didn't just look at people, she collected every movement, hesitation, and facial expression. That was one of the first things Y/n understood properly, and she felt a dangerous little thrill. Not fear but recognition, she did the same thing, only with less kidnapping.
Alexia returned her gaze to Y/n. âWhat did you see tonight?â
Y/n smiled. âRainâ.
Misa sighed, looking over at Alexia, who said nothing.
Y/n continued. âA garage with a car being mistreated, there were two men unloading crates from a van. I think one of them had a limp, but it was hard to tell as he was trying to hide it. The driver was nervous, and there was a smaller man who kept checking the alley but missed the camera on the print shop wall, which was honestly embarrassingâ.Â
The room changed instantly, Misa went very still, and so did the guards, and Y/n realised she rambled. Alexia didn't react, but her gaze became focused. Y/n has given her something real, not all the details but enough for now.
âYou noticed the cameraâ, Alexia said.
âHard not toâ.
Alexia leaned back slightly. âYou're a mechanic?â
âUsuallyâ.
âWhat else are you?â
âTierdâ.
âY/n.â
The way Alexia said her name was not loud, but it still landed hard. And Y/n realised that she might have just pushed Alexia to the edge of getting fed up with her attitude, and while Y/n was still only a problem that hadn't been solved, she didn't want to risk pushing Alexia over the edge. So Y/n let her smile fade, only slightly, as she would rather die than look too obedient.
âI fix thingsâ, Y/n said. âCars and motorbikes mostly, but I'll fix whatever people bring me when they can't afford someone official or don't want paperworkâ.
Alexia watched her. âAnd you ask no questionsâ.
âI ask lots of questions. Just not stupid onesâ.
âSuch as?â
âWhy a garage with no sign has better security than a bank, or why someone wants a tracker placed on a vehicleâ
Misa shifted slightly.
Alexia's expression remained calm. âYet you cameâ.
âI was paidâ.
âYou could've walked awayâ.
âThe engine annoyed meâ.
For the first time, Alexia looked openly intrigued, and Y/n found herself wanting to keep earning that look.
âWhat was wrong with it?â
âThe engine?â
âYesâ.
Y/n found leaned forwards, elbows on the table. âSomeone had bypassed the immobiliser badly. The kind of badly that comes from someone who understands what to do but has never done it beforeâ.
Misaâs eyes narrowed. âCould it stop the car?â
âTemporally. But that wasn't the interesting bitâ.
Alexiaâs gaze stayed locked on Y/n.
Y/nâs smile widened. âThere was a second relay added near the fuse box. Not standard and not needed. Whoever put it there wanted remote interruptionâ.
Misa looked towards Aleixa. But Alexia didn't look away from Y/n. âA kill switchâ.
âBasicallyâ.
âCan you remove it?â
âThat's what I was attempting to do when your welcoming committee arrivedâ.
âYou knew it wasn't normalâ.
âI knew the whole place wasn't normalâ.
âAnd yet you stayedâ.
âI told you. The engine annoyed meâ.
âNoâ, Alexia said.
Y/n stilled as Alexia leaned forward.
âYou stayed because you wanted to know who would go through the trouble of hiding itâ Her voice was calm and certain. âYou stayed because the risk bothered you less than the questionâ.
Y/nâs jaw tightened.
âYouâre curiousâ, Alexia continued. âProud, reckless when challenged, and you hide fear behind sarcasmâ.
Y/nâs voice cooled. âCarefulâ.
Misaâs attention snapped to her as the guards shifted. Y/n realised too late that warning Alexia Putellas in her own building probably wasn't the smartest of moves. So she picked up the glass of water she had no interest in drinking earlier and took a sip, ignoring Alexia's knowing gaze.
Y/n placed the glass down harder than necessary. âSo what now?â
âYou have optionsâ
Y/n laughed, though it lacked humour. âThat's comfortingâ.
âIt wasn't meant to beâ.
âAgain, charmingâ.
Alexia folded her hands neatly on the table. âYou saw men connected to my operation. You saw a vehicle that had been tampered with. You noticed security details most people would miss. You can identify at least one route, one garage, and one deliveryâ.
âActually, I can identify two routesâ.
Misa closed her eyes again.
Alexia tilted her head. âCan you?â
Y/N smiled. âYou should tell your driver not to brake before a turn. Gives the rhythm awayâ.
For a second, nobody spoke, then Alexia looked toward Misa, who looked deeply unhappy.
Y/N tapped one finger against the table. âSo, what? You keep me here until you decide Iâm not a threat?â
Alexiaâs eyes returned to hers. âYesâ.
Y/N blinked. âThat was not supposed to be the answerâ.
âI prefer clarityâ.
âNo, you prefer controlâ.
âYesâ.
Again, no denial and Y/n hated how effective that was.
As Alexia stood, the guards straightened subtly. Misa didn't need to, she was always ready. Y/n forced herself not to react as Alexia walked around the table toward her. Every step was unhurried. Measured. Not predatory in the obvious way. Worse. She stopped beside Y/nâs chair, forcing Y/n to look up at her.Â
âYou are not Llorencâ.
Y/n frowned. âWho?â
Alexia watched her reaction carefully and once she decided that the confusion was real she moved on.
âYou're not harmless eitherâ, Alexia said.
Y/n smiled again. âThat one's trueâ.
âGoodâ.
That surprised Y/n, her smile faltering as Alexia noticed immediately.
âYou expected me to want harmlessâ, she said.
âMost powerful people doâ.
âMost powerful people are insecureâ.
âAnd you're not?â
Alexiaâs gaze cooled. There were lines, then, and Y/n had found one. Not insecurity but something adjacent, power. Y/n knew she should have backed off, yet she did not.
Alexia bent slightly, placing one hand on the back of Y/nâs chair, the other gripping Y/nâs jaw. She didn't trap her fully, just made the space feel smaller by choice.
âI am paranoid,â Alexia said quietly. âI am controlling. I am difficult to lie to, worse to betray, and very rarely merciful without reason.â Her eyes held Y/nâs. âBut I am not insecure.â
Y/nâs throat felt dry as Alexia looked at her for another long moment before letting go and straightening. The air returned to the room, and Y/n breathed like she had chosen to, not like she needed it.
Alexia walked back to her side of the table. âYou will stay here tonightâ.
Y/n sat up. âNo, I wonâtâ.
âYes, you willâ.
âI have a flatâ.
âI knowâ.
Y/N froze while Alexia sat again, calm as ever.
âYou checked meâ, Y/n said.
âYesâ.
âHow much?â
âEnoughâ.
âThatâs not an answerâ.
âIt is the only one you needâ.
Y/nâs eyes narrowed. âYou people really love that lineâ.
âIt is a good lineâ, said Misa.
Y/n pointed back at her again. âNo one asked youâ. Y/n then looked at Alexia. âAre all your employees this rude?â
Alexia replied smoothly, âOnly the ones I likeâ.
Misaâs face shifted not by much but enough. Y/n saw it, loyalty again. Not obedience, not fear, but something older and more complicated. For the first time, Y/n wondered what Alexia had done to earn that from someone like Misa. Then she immediately decided she did not want to know.
Alexia continued. âYour flat is being watchedâ.
Y/nâs humour vanished, and Alexia noticed it.
âNo one will enter itâ, Alexia said. âNo one will touch your things. No one will approach anyone connected to you unless you give me a reasonâ.
Y/nâs voice went quiet. âIs that meant to make me feel better?â
âIt is meant to be clearâ.
âYou threaten people very politelyâ.
âI do most things preciselyâ.
Y/n leaned forward. âListen to me very precisely, then. Whatever this is, whatever you think I know, I am not part of it. I donât care about your crates, your garage, your scary lift, or your dramatic staring contests. I fixed a car. Thatâs itâ.
Alexia watched her.
Y/n continued, sharper now. âSo you can either let me go, or you can keep pretending this is strategy when itâs really just a bunch of powerful people panicking because one mechanic noticed an idiot wired their expensive carâ.
Silence. It was heavy and dangerous.
Misaâs voice came low from behind her. âCarefulâ.
Y/n did not look away from Alexia. âI am being carefulâ.
Alexiaâs eyes held hers.
Then Alexia spoke.âYou will fix the carâ.
Y/n exhaled.
âAnd you will stay until I know who put the device thereâ.
Y/nâs eyes snapped up. Alexiaâs mouth curved again, very faintly, and Y/n caught it, feeling that same ridiculous spark. She really needed to stop herself from liking the woman's smile.
Alexia stood once more. âMisa will show you where you are stayingâ.
Y/n stood too. âAm I allowed to leave the room?â
âNoâ.
âWindow?â
âNoâ.
âPhone call?â
âNoâ.
âSnacks?â
Alexia looked at Misa, who looked deeply tired as Y/n smiled sweetly at her.
âFeed herâ, Alexia said.
Y/n stared at her, then, despite everything, she laughed under her breath.
âControl freakâ, she said.
Alexiaâs gaze stayed steady.
âBratty mechanicâ, she replied.
Y/nâs smile widened and then lingered as Misa guided her into the hallway, and the door closed behind them. Then, as Misa started walking, Y/n followed. The hallway felt different now. Less like the path to an execution, more like the inside of a machine she had not yet learned how to dismantle.
Misa stepped into the room. The door remained open behind her.
âYou want advice?â she asked.
âNoâ.
âGood. Iâll give it anywayâ.
Y/n rolled her eyes. âClassicâ.
âAlexia does not bluff.â
Y/nâs smile thinned.
Misa continued, âIf she says your flat will not be touched, it will not be touched. If she says you will stay, you will stay. If she says she will protect what is hers, she will. If she decides you are a threat, there will not be a warning firstâ.
Y/nâs fingers tightened around the edge of the mattress.Â
âIs that supposed to scare me?â Y/n asked.
âIt is supposed to inform youâ, Misa said as she turned toward the door. âEat. Sleep. Do not try the windowâ.
âSo I should try the vents?â
Misa looked over her shoulder. âThere are no vents big enoughâ.
âRude. You donât know my flexibilityâ.
âI know the building plansâ.
âControl freaks, all of youâ.
Misa opened the door wider. âGoodnight, Y/nâ.
Y/n threw a grape at her, and of course, Misa caught it. She looked at the grape in her hand, then at Y/n, who slowly sat back, impressed despite herself as Misa popped the grape into her mouth, expression completely flat.
âSleepâ, she said.
With that, she left, and then the door locked behind her.
Notes:Â I know I'm not the best at dialogue, so apologies for that. You might notice the absence of the rest of Alexia's inner circle, aside from Misa. That is because it wasn't Alexia's original plan to keep Y/n alive, it was meant to be a quick job, but Alexia became interested in her. I promise they all return in part 3, and we will see more of them and their jobs in the organisation! Thank you for reading, and as usual, please share with me what you thought!
