I bought a Soft Focus II about a year ago. I still cannot use it properly.

The plum trees in my yard. They bloom every February and give off a wonderful aroma in the neighborhood.

Shot at a Shinto shrine. This basin is to cleanse your hands before entering the premises, but there was a special event on this day called Flower Basin to attract people.

The wintersweet in our backyard. It spreads a nice aroma in February.

This wisteria garden is well-known in the area. It is on the premises of a Buddhist temple. I did not know wisterias attract so many bees.

I have been too lazy to post anything here. These photos are from my garden. They were full bloom in February.

Ume plum blossoms in a park. It is challenging to take photographs of birds with a manual lens.

I always think flowers in the basins at shrines distract people visiting the shrines from cleansing hands even they are pretty.

This is Mikan, the princess of our home. She was once a stray dog looking for Prince Charming, but then we found her. I hope she is happy with us.

The artificial flowers I put at our door. I bought them for portrait shootings several years ago, and I don’t use them anymore. They are cheesy but are still good bokeh subjects.

Happy New Year 2023. My first shooting of the year is my dogs.

My husband and I went to Costco for Christmas shopping. This tart is a Christmas cake for this year. It is still Christmas eve today, but somebody stole a piece!

With Soft Focus II. The second image looks like a drunken dog after a party.

The Soft Focus II seems to go well with B&W images. I found it really difficult to use this lens.

These photos were through macro filters. I have a macro lens, so I think I am not using these filters so often.
