How to Basic. 

All of your favorite content creators are at risk of losing their jobs because people want stricter laws on copyright, which will support the larger media companies but kill smaller creators. And because of this, we may lose everything online. 

So spread the word! Reblog this, reblog other people’s posts, find petitions, write your own posts! If you’re in Europe, contact your MEP’s and get them to understand how it will affect the people who use the internet.

haven’t seen this on tumblr yet, so

in the UK, Christmas adverts are awaited eagerly, debated, ranked, discussed, and are generally quite culturally important (weird, i know). this is Iceland Foods’ Christmas advert 2018

and it’s been banned from TV broadcast for being “too political”. this is not a political advert and i’d really appreciate if you watched it and shared. if you agree that this advert should be able to air, please sign this petition

I heard somewhere that Chibnall decided he had no ideas for a Christmas special this year, so he isn’t doing one. I mean, what the heck? I don’t dislike him like some do for this season (I adore the whole thing) but this is ridiculous. Doctor Who had become a Christmas tradition since 2005! I know they’re changing things around for the new era with Jodie and Chibnall and all sorts of concepts, but I don’t like this one.

Then I thought, they’re not making one, but why can’t I? Why can’t we, as the fanfiction writers? When Moffat couldn’t hear the fans, we could. So lets try something, all together now. Lets write ourselves some Doctor Who Christmas. Every one of us. Even if you think you’re no good (even if you are no good, why not?) even if you’ve never posted your writing before, chip something in! Make it as Doctor Who as possible, try to write for Jodie and the Tardis Team, but in truth it can be for any Doctor or companion. Reader-insert or not.

My official proposal: Let’s write our own Christmas episode. (I’m kinda hoping if this gets big enough and enough people write really good stuff that it might bring back Doctor Who Christmas next year) Try to include a baddie we know or one that somehow relates to the Christmas season. Try to include the whole Tardis Team and a few other side characters. Try to make it as long as you can. Try to make it in-verse. Try to include either something classicly Christmas (like the killer trees or the snowmen) or something about what Christmas means (Halfway out of the dark, hope) and very much try to make it based at Christmas time, whether of Earth or anywhere (or anywhen) else.

If you’re not for writing, just toss out a few concepts the BBC hasn’t used yet. Draw something or make a video from past Doctor Who Christmases. Do what you do best.

Spread this around, tell your friends on and off Tumblr, make it big enough to see. It’s not Christmas without Doctor Who, so make it Christmas. Please do this! For me?????

You thought I wouldn’t see your expression? Your illusions can hide nothing from me, little one.” You didn’t even have to move your fingers to break his spell. All it took was a thought. Your eyes sparkled as your magic flowed through your body, more than strong enough to strip away the image of Odin behind which he had spent so much of the past few years hiding.

Loki crossed his arms over his chest, leaning back against the wall with a smirk on his face. It was funny; he always seemed to do that when you demonstrated the true strength of your seidr. Understandably, it made him uncomfortable. Still, you couldn’t help from flex your metaphorical muscles anyway, partly for his own good. Masquerading as Odin had given Loki an odd sense of security that you knew was dangerously close to breaking. You thought it was your duty to at least keep him on his toes a little so, when the moment came for the lie to come crashing down around him, he might be partially prepared.

Stretching out in your cell, you asked with surprising seriousness, “Does it make you feel better? This play? Rewriting the narrative in this way?”

    “Why shouldn’t I change the story?” Loki asked, dodging your question. “My entire life was built on lies. I am simply choosing the ones I prefer.”

    “Does that make you any better than Odin, then? Picking and choosing the pieces of history that suit your agenda. Wiping out anything else that doesn’t take your fancy or fit your narrow view of the way things should be.”

You knew instantly that you’d pushed one of Loki’s major buttons. His eyes narrowed and his limbs twitched as he considered summoning a dagger to threaten you, only to change him mind when he realised what little good it would do.

    “I am nothing like the old fool.”

    “There you go again, little one, telling lies.”
