🌱🍎 UPDATE: Yesterday, I was assessed for a Powerchair. Because of the extremely fast progression of my disability with no treatment from specialist doctors; I haven’t been able to use my manual wheelchair more than a transport chair where someone else is pushing me, so I had no independence at all.

I have been housebound for 6 almost 7 years — and I’ve been bed bound the same. I am excited to start this new section of my journey of autonomy.

The Type of Powerchair is called a Quantum J4E, I am hoping that my insurance will cover all 3 add-ons including a lift-kit, positional controls, and leg lifting. I cannot due anything myself, including cooking, cleaning, bathing, bathroom, dressing, etc. I am also hoping to get an Accessible Vehicle with my partner to be able to leave the neighborhood with the powerchair.

Despite those in my family that refuse to acknowledge my Disability and severity, I am going to live life as best as I can… Being Severely Disabled.
