Plastic tub with lid keeps drinks cold,

Sky colored, but what does it hold?

Avian decals- rare to see:

A fluffy and light sweet treat made

As an effigy, well displayed,

Of a tiny pony of course:

Jimmy made a skate bowl outside

To make his backyard cool.

It rained all day, and then all night,

I want to be an astronaut,

In a space rocket hurled,

So that when folk ask how I am

Cinnamon donut sticks take charge;

Please make my serve an extra large-

On private plane, airy and light:

I met a tree while on a walk

Through a forested place.

You might think “met” is a strange phrase,

But this tree had a face.

I said hello to my tree friend,

But they didn’t reply-

I’ll try again tomorrow as

It must be a bit shy.

I wait for my “health kick” to start,

Like people on tv;

The ones who switch to green smoothies

And leave the sugar be.

It’s slow to start, in the meantime

To sleep, perchance to dream-

And in tonight’s dream, I’ll explore

Grape flavored soft drink is my fav,

But fancy glasses I will waive-

Give me a chunky cup to chug:

Looks like life’s given a cascade

Of the makings of lemonade,

They’re in a stack on a mound still:

This airline is very ‘budget,’

The company is small.

There’s no reserved seating, in fact

There are no seats at all;

The check-in process is quite lax,

There is no cabin crew;

It looks as though the wing repair’s

Been done with tape and glue;

Any self respecting trav’ler

Would from this flight abstain-

Of course, you can’t expect too much

I have a pertinent question-

Quite an important thing:

Are four leaf clovers still lucky

Some like travel, or adventure,

Or dancing, friends or hugs;

My happy place is in the reeds

Stone is hard and ice is freezing,

And though both things are nice,

They’d best build pyramids of stone

There’s sun and sand and wavy sea

Alongside a stack of tasty

Rosy skinned fruits but not a peach:

I built a tower of ice cubes,

The very best, I felt.

I’d just admired its height and shine

My cat is like a lioness,

She’s sleek paws and sharp eyes-

Except instead of hunting prey

Young ones palette has blacks and blues

In washable, Crayola hues,

With a smiling moon drifting by:
