Disaster struck the garden last night; strong winds caused several stems of Cactus Dahlia to buckle and snap. Visited by a small white butterfly today. They flew around me and rested on the radishes I have growing. It hardly stopped or stayed still, it was busy flying everywhere and every which way. Seeing a white Butterfly has significance and a few different meanings. Some of hope, luck or change and others about God and or angels. We made Japanese soufflé fluffy pancakes yesterday. 🥞 When they were cooking you could hear the whipped air in the batter bubbling away. The pancakes were floofy and delicate, need a bit more finessing as flipping them was difficult. Over all fun and tasty 😋 Served with a dusting of icing sugar, some freshly whipped cream and raspberries. We took the recipe from @aldiuk if you want to try them for yourself. Yesterday I finally made @jammiedodgersofficial blondies. I’ve had the craving to bake some for several weeks but could not find them in stock anywhere. My sister found some whilst in Leeds et voila. I chopped three up and put them in the batter with the white chocolate so there is a tasty dodger surprise inside and used the final five of the pack of eight to decorate the top. I also utilised some strawberry sauce we had spare for decoration. It is not good enough to not be racist we must be anti-racist, anti-racism. ▪️ We need to know why the U.K. government are not releasing important information on the BAME population and the effects of COVID-19. Give the people the information so we know how to help. Do not censor in a time of need for fear of a riot. Belly Munjinga needs justice. The Windrush generation needs justice. The U.K. has a pretty bad rep for racism it’s just they don’t teach us about it in school. Don’t just look across the pond and be outraged and thankful you’re not in America because stuff is rotten here too. George Floyd did not deserve a knee on his neck for even a second. No human deserves that. ▪️ All lives can’t matter until Black lives matter. Making the argument for all lives matter is like asking for straight pride or an internationals men’s day. Read the room, know your privilege and use it to help others if you can. ▪️ Don’t forget the queer community within this, the first pride was a riot and the people at the front were trans black women like Marsha P Johnson. Patrisse Cullors, Opal Tometi and Alicia Garza are queer black women who co-founded BLM in 2013 after the murderer of Trayvon Martin was acquitted in 2013. So don’t forget it is also pride month. Just been visited by a Cinnabar moth. . Tyria jacobaeae. . When to see May - August They fly both in the sunshine and at night. . They are named after the red mineral Cinnabar an ore of the metal Mercury. .
