something something deltarune's dedicated relationship to the player & the fandom-centric undertale aus of yesteryear & the way that both of these worlds so closely tied themselves to the player / fan base, & often at the detriment of the characters within, sometimes to the point they end up out of bounds.

in other words, i've been reconnecting with my heritage from yesterdecade & had a funny thought,

XTale becoming ironic because Gaster is some level of behind everything and clearly proud/possessive of the story being made, potentially having planned out the prophecy or even made the entire world and his own cadre of darkness goons (Knight, FRIEND, Eram, potentially Ralsei, etc.)

Something New becoming ironic because Weird Route is basically, on some level, the same premise of forcing a character to kill mercilessly and warping them into a monster they'd never willingly be.
