Fogo Island lies outside of Newfoundland, Canada, and is home to an elemental place of subtle and abiding beauty where time is not obliterated by the circulation of everything. Where time is no dimension and the designs seem boundless, beginning to take on a shape of their own. Where the battering cold of the untamed North Atlantic wilderness and ocean are relentless, but relentless in the scenery and as relentless as those who still live there.
