 Paige started at the words, heart rate picking up in surprise, not realizing that she’d been staring so obviously. Glancing over at them, she tried to play it off but she’d never been particularly smooth. “I wasn’t. I - I was…okay, maybe I was.” Didn’t even last thirty seconds. “Do you think they noticed? That’s so embarrassing.” Paige could feel herself start to blush at being caught, warmth rising in her cheeks as she noticed something strange in their eye. “What? Are you okay?”

She presented the finished latte to Paige, leaning onto the cafe bar on her elbows. "You know, talking to them is much less creepy than staring," she added, an attempt to lighten the mood. And hide her own jealousy. "I don't know if they noticed or not. Doesn't seem like they did," Ash answered, turning her own gaze over to the person in question. They appeared to be lost in whatever book they were reading. 'Shame,' Ash mused to herself. 'The dude has no idea what on Earth he's missing.'
