Last night I had a dream. In the dead of night. Pitch black. Eyes wide. My mind started to wander. I started to think about all things rarely discussed. Often considered taboo. Death. The death of my grandfather and what he must of felt laying in that hospital bed before he passed away. He was a man of great stature who had his demons. Memories from his past that haunted him. He loved me every step of the way. Love and Lust. The difference between the two. Sex. Lots of it. The desire for connection: physical, mental, emotional, spiritual...I often reach out to people craving quality conversation and nothing else. Hoping they feel the same way. It’s strange to pick up the phone and leave a voicemail for some. It’s intimidating. But that simple act comes with a sense of accomplishment. I grow every time because of it. Fear. So crippling it is. I used to fear failure. I used to fear love. I like to believe I now use fear as a motivator. I like to think fear is preprogrammed. It keeps us alive. It keeps us boxed in. It causes us to evolve. It causes us to remain the same. Such a fine line. How I choose to cross it determines how I live my life everyday. No single day is the same. I post this because I want more people to feel okay being truthful with themselves and with others. We keep things locked away outta fear of judgement. Someone maybe feeling the exact same way you do. If you knew they felt the same would you confide in them. Even though you may not is it still worth the risk... Thanks for following. PLEASE take a couple minutes to READ👇 ・・・・・・・・・・・・・・ ・・・・ 1. Take time to reassess the situation. If you feel like you’re unable to fully commit to the moment, maybe you should give it sometime before participating. Perhaps it’s simply not the time for that action, but don’t wait too long. Good fortune favors the brave. 2. Be present, demand the attention of the people who you choose to spend your time with. Make sure they’re the type of individuals to reciprocate. They should demand more from you so that you both rise to the occasion when presented with opportunity. 3. Be aware and ready when opportunity presents itself. If you’re present this will be easier to do. Time is too valuable a thing to waste. Shame on you if you take it for granted. 4. Live more, get out and explore. If you’re not willing to fully commit to the moment in which you’re living, again, reassess what you’re doing. See what happens when you give 100% of your attention to something. Hell even 90%. 5. Laugh. Find things that make you laugh. Seek them out with passion. You’ll push the reset button on stress, anxiety, insecurity, fatigue and so much more. Simply by laughing uncontrollably. 6. Be genuine, in all that you do. From your simple morning routine after waking, to the quick greeting of a stranger on the street. Set the intention and then execute. Real respect real, and the genuine attract success. 7. Volunteer, no matter how little. Find a way to get involved somehow, some way. It’s the ultimate form of tithing. You may not see the benefit immediately after every act, but you will be rewarded in the future, exponentially. 8. Health, RESPECT YOUR PHYSICAL, MENTAL AND EMOTIONAL HEALTH. You can do none of the above things mentioned if you don’t have it. 9. Don’t forget to breathe. Take deep breathes on a regular basis through out your day. Inhale slowly in, exhale slowly out. This small act can be life changing. 10. Last but not least, make the conscious decision to #feelgood and good things are sure to follow. MONDAY MOTIVATION *please read* 👇 ・・・・・・・・・・・・・・ ・・・・ I post this as a reminder that you can do anything you set your mind too. I went from being an extremely obese infant with sausage fingers to being a really, really ridiculously ripped adult male and it only took me 25+ years. Let me tell you, if it wasn’t for hard work and dedication (I started lifting weights at about 6 months old, shortly after the baby photo was taken in fact) I would have never come close to reaching my peak, let alone the top of that mountain (I’m flexing on in the photo above). I’d like to thank God, breast milk and of course protein shakes for all the opportunities that I’ve been presented with over the years. Oh and 24 hour fitness, for being open 24 hours a day/7 days a week.
