IN THE STARS

I am currently reading a book about relationships and in one of the chapters it goes on about how “women must act as dumb foxes and feed the man’s ego. Let him be the man and think it’s HIS great idea because then he will want to do more for you…” this irritates me a HUGE deal and just makes me envision a beautiful monarch butterfly suffocating in a damp dark cocoon. Why must women dim down there light just to uplift their “man”? It just saddens me to think that women all over the world are reading this book… trying to adjust themselves to be more likeable to the opposite sex.My first question is why is being in a relationship the desired thing for women? But then why must we lose some of our power to attract a guy? Our society has a lot of things to think about. A lot of “social norms” we need to change. Because a new generation is evolving. Being single should not be seen as miserable and unwanted, it should be seen as one beautiful human being whose a free spirit and can hold her own. Because personally I’d prefer to be on my own. At least I don’t have to act dumb for myself and I can fully take all the credit I deserve. I don’t wanna EVER diminish my highest achievements just to be more favourable in men’s eyes. But then maybe that's just me..
