this was all so very cliche ⎯ kicking off summer vacation with a bonfire party on the beach. god, what kind of cw teen drama were they trying to replicate? it also didn't help that the lighting down here was god awful so that people couldn't even truly appreciate lux's outfit and the effort she put in her hair and makeup. despite all of that, lux had to admit that it was kinda cute but she would never admit it because if she did then it'll mean that someone other than herself actually had a good idea for once. she grabbed a drink out of the cooler, nose turning up when she pulls out a beer. "hey, do we have any other drin⎯" her sentence is quickly cut off by her running to the closest person she could find and screaming. "something just touched me, what the hell was that? do you think it was poisonous? i think i see bite marks."

the humidity and sand wasn't doing lux any favours. they'd only been in vortex for barely 48 hours and her hair was already frizzing up and she was finding sand in places that she didn't know sand could get. not to mention, someone had splashed sea water all over her new satin skirt and if she didn't get it out now, she was sure it was going to stain. she cussed as she tried to pull the edge of her skirt towards the tap, only for the fabric to pull ever so slightly. to untrained eyes, they'd probably never notice the snag but to lux, it was glaring at her. that's it, she was done for.

she kicked the bathroom door in frustration before composing herself and walking out, only to jump from the unexpected figure nearby. "i didn't wet myself if that was what you were thinking," she muttered, patting down her skirt hoping it'll dry quicker. "what? do you want to take a picture or something? it'll last longer."
