I saw the "the sun will continue to shine on earth for billions of years to come" picture from wikipedia while trying to wake myself from almost falling into sleep paralysis/potential lucid dream this morning

I hate how misinformation spreads so much if it SOUNDS right. Asian lady beetles ARE ladybugs. Both them and seven spot lady beetles are ladybugs, neither are native to the us, there isn't ample evidence that they are invasive though (as of last I looked into it). Native ladybug populations are being damaged more by pesticide use than by competitors. I think this tidbit of misinformation might come from the uk where I THINK the seven spot lady beetle is native and the asian lady beetle is invasive. But nonetheless, they are both ladybugs.
