the third eye, more so commonly referred to as 天眼 ( stylized as Sky’s Eye or Eye of God ), is a legend among men as an ability gifted by gods. legend has it that the wielder of the eye is capable of many impossible feats, endless abilities and capabilities that strikes fear even in the mightiest of gods—and perched on the forehead of fair chou tzuyu, it is the key to unlimited possibilities.

PASSIVE ♦ TELEPATHIC COMMUNICATION is the ability to transmit information from one mind to another as tzuyu suffers from a sort of selective mutism, this is the only way she may be able to communicate with people.

PASSIVE ♦ PSYCHIC SHIELD offers near immunity / high resistance against any and all mental intrusions such as illusions, hypnosis and the sort.

PASSIVE ♦ REFLECTION is the formation of an energy shield formed from the third eye that reflects all attacks of matter and energy.

PASSIVE ♦ SLEEP INDUCEMENT occurs with the gaze of the third eye, one would gradually feel more and more fatigued as the time passes by ( when staring at the eye ) unless tzuyu completely wills it ( in which the effect would be instantaneous ).

OFFENSIVE ♦ CONCUSSION BEAMS discharged through the eye perched above its sisters, the beams are pure solidified energy that causes concussive damage ranging from a slight push to disintegration.

OFFENSIVE ♦ MAGICAL ENERGY RELEASE is the occasional bursts of raw magical energy released through the third eye. being magical energy, the effects vary depending on the object – it may shatter or explode ( if inorganic ) or it may grow and change in color. such a thing is nothing along the lines of controllable, leaving tzuyu guessing when and where the bursts will occur herself.

OFFENSIVE ♦ SPELL CASTING utilizes the magical energy in forms of spells, often only taken in effect when spoken or through thinking or gestures. the stronger the spell, the more “action” it requires, such as spoken word and anything of the such. if tzuyu fails to truly focus on the spell / effect wanted, the result is likely unruly.

LIMITS, LIMITS, LIMITS -- THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS A CREATURE LIMITLESS.

the third eye possesses only but one true weaknesses—it must be open for any of tzuyu’s abilities to work. any sort of attack toward the eye would render tzuyu useless in each and every way & prolonged use would eventually lead to brain damage and organ failure.

PASSIVE ♦ TELEPATHIC COMMUNICATION tzuyu is only capable of communication, she is unable to “search” through any one’s mind nor will she be input / push anything into one’s memories. at the time being, she is only able to talk to three people through telepathy at the same time. against espers or other psychics, it may be possible for her communication to be shut out.

PASSIVE ♦ PSYCHIC SHIELD is innate more than anything, meaning it saps away bits of energy minute by minute. of course, it is not a shield completely impenetrable and if met with higher level mutants, they could easily shatter the shield.

PASSIVE ♦ REFLECTION the energy shield may only last for a specific amount of time ( twenty minutes ) for the time being and may shatter if the force itself is stronger than the shield. it is unable to be “moved” once constructed and simply acts as a energy shield expanded from head to toe in front of tzuyu, in other words, you may go around it.

PASSIVE ♦ SLEEP INDUCEMENT only works through the eye contact with the third eye. as long as one does not look at it, it is rendered ineffective. tzuyu is unable to decide on the duration of the sleep induced, although generally it is a handful of hours before one awakes.

OFFENSIVE ♦ CONCUSSION BEAMS even tzuyu herself would not be immune to the impact of the burst, meaning she’ll have to be careful with the usage. it should also be noted that the stronger the beam ( if set on “disintegration” ) the quicker her energy depletes aka it’s a one shot ( or two ) before she’s done. as with any other beams, the closer the target is, the more effective the beam — tzuyu’s range runs up to 200 feet / 60 meters max with 80 - 160  feet / 24 - 48 meters being the “hot zone”.

OFFENSIVE ♦ MAGICAL ENERGY RELEASE completely uncontrollable in each and every sense. the energy release happens whether or not tzuyu chooses it to, more effectively if one were to hit the third eye settled on top of its sisters, the burst is 100% likely to happen.

OFFENSIVE ♦ SPELL CASTING spells must be enacted carefully ( in certain cases it must rhyme ) for the spells to work. spells cast nonverbally requires tzuyu to have a clear image and want in mind for it to happen. tzuyu is incapable of casting wide scale spells that affects more than two people.

1. WHAT DO YOU FEAR?

acrophobia is the looming fear that has tzuyu by the clutches. know that even staring down from any third story building has her nerves frazzled, her body tense, she’s deathly afraid of falling.

2. WHAT ARE YOUR DREAMS?

perhaps it’s childish by now to cling onto dream of returning to her former home. but at times, when sleep has taken her away to a world unknown by the terrors of humanity, she remembers home. remembers laughter and the smell of autumn leaves in a small unnoticed village. remembers the warmth of her mother. once upon a time.

3. WHAT KIND OF FUCKWAD ARE YOU? (EVERYONE’S AN ASSHOLE)

wrath. the temper behind soft youthful features and a quiet mouth is one that is unexpected. but tzuyu had never been explicitly kind when it came to those who cross her – knowing fully well that she couldn’t spend the rest of her life being stepped on. although if you look past the muted demeanor she possesses, she never really leads with being kind in the first place.

4. WHAT KIND OF GOODY TWOSHOES ARE YOU? (EVERYONE’S A BIT SOFT)

humility. toward a selected few, tzuyu has no issue putting herself above others. people like her foster family falls under the section of people she’d give her life for. they are, after all, worth more than her in that regard.

5. WHAT DO YOU REMEMBER? (THERE MUST BE THINGS THAT HAUNT YOU)

THE MIRACLE IN SHAN LU. the birth of chou tzuyu changes the fate of the shan lu village, a baby with not two but three eyes. she’s a miracle to the village. a gift from the gods. the greater good that is tzuyu grows up sheltered in a sense, kept far away from children her age in exchange for studies of mysticism and the arts of the “beyond”. notably, it’s supposedly a useless subject to learn, but when it came down to it–on the day bandits stormed the village, young tzuyu wanted nothing else but peace.

THE CARNIVAL IN DAEGU. the years spent at traveling carnival of wonder were years blurred. during her younger days, tzuyu spends most of her time sitting pretty in a something resuming a bird cage—jeers and camera flashes greeting her with every opening; one can’t the freakshow after all. notably these are years she ruefully tries to not remember. to try and forget the harsh conditions and scathing words directed at her. and when the police raids the place for its’ illegal activities, she’s thrown to the trash once again. into the harsh foster system of south korea.

THE FAMILY IN JEJU. the prospect of a newfound life, newfound family was not one that seemed possible again in her lifetime. but tzuyu strikes gold with the parents two that seemingly took pity on the mute and deformed and adopted her into a family with two boys already occupying it. naturally, she struggles to truly bond without words. but once the initial hurdle is easily overcome by the second oldest. and tzuyu finds herself gradually, with time and patience, easing into her new family. maybe she does belong here.

WHAT WILL YOU DO, WHAT WILL YOU DO?  WHEN THE BIG MAN IN BLACK COMES RUNNING FOR YOU?

stood before the grand obstacle course, tzuyu supposes she has a lot to prove to the peering eyes of the facility’s trainers. what with the glaring mutation sat upon her forehead and all – it wasn’t exactly like she could hide it. although tzuyu knew that they were more so curious about its capabilities than her.

and honestly, how should she even begin to show it?

of course, there’s never such a thing as thinking things over – and when the whistle goes off, tzuyu is stumbling off that starting line, narrowly avoiding tripping over her own two feet as she picks up the pace to leap over the hurdles set before her. it wouldn’t take long, but it was tiring nonetheless for the likes of tzuyu who had hardly found the need to do any excessive exercise after high school.

and so she runs, and jumps, and by the time the first fireball comes whizzing by – only a surprised noise slips past the mute mouth.

no, this wasn’t good.

jaw tight, fists clenched, she tries her best to finish the rest of the course, narrowly dodging the next one that comes flying her way with a less than graceful pivot of her heel. even then, at the depths of her heart, tzuyu knows that there’s no chance she’d make it through the obstacle course without help.

so she decides to let these curious few in on the type of mutation she possesses.

with just a little bit of focus, she’s able to hone in on the energy, closing her eyes for a split second as a bright red beam shoots forward from her third eye, shattering the wooden course to nothing.
