heya! heartless because he won’t invest blindly in a failing tv show? cold because he doesn’t want to mix personal stuff with business? to me, victor is a logical, no-nonsense type of person. he does help mc whenever he can, and he even provides her with useful advice to help her be better at what she does. what victor doesn’t do is coddle her– which i guess is what most people see as warm and loving. he does praise her tho whenever she does well. he just wants her to be better. he helps her even when he doesn’t need to, but because he doesn’t shower her with affection outwardly, i guess it’s not as ~uwu~ as everyone else. ♡

i don’t think there’s anything wrong with victor in the feelings and emotions department. he isn’t perfect, but he isn’t as bad as people like to say he is. it’s easy to have some sort of bias against characters who don’t offer you their affections instantly, so i understand why most people don’t see what victor does for mc. even she can’t refute that he’s always helped her. he even spares her feelings when he thinks she really can’t do something as simple as making coffee. bottom line, victor tells mc when she’s lacking in her work but when it’s her personal feelings, he never wants to offend her needlessly. take note, when “baka” is translated, it doesn’t always have the same feelings and context it had when it was said in jp. like how it doesn’t necessarily have to be a super mean insult. it could also be a term of endearment. (˘▽˘)/

when i have more time, i can list all the times victor has been good to mc / how mc decided not to notice, and just labeled him mean because he doesn’t praise her. she really isn’t that smart sometimes haha ☆

heya! what’s strange to me is the assumption that he’s a jerk when mc met him in a business setting where he had to evaluate her failing company and her work. the dude has a business to run and he didn’t become successful at it by handing out roses to every person who asked for an investment haha. she didn’t even have a meeting because the assistant didn’t wanna let her in. that wasn’t victor– it was the assistant’s decision. business vs personal meeting. when they’re not dealing with business, victor actually treats her kindly. business facts = not personal attacks. ♡

i think most people thought “omg jerk because he wasn’t nice to me when he first met me about an investment for my bad show.” – but that’s kinda unreasonable, right? normally people just say no if they think something isn’t worth investing into, but what victor did was try to give her a chance. tell her what she’s lacking, give hints, etc. he’s actually VERY lenient with her. even taking her calls when he shouldn’t be the one directly handling her things. he’s busy enough as it is. ✿

victor praises her if she does well. he also honestly tells her if she’s failed. not everyone can be a sweet talker / affectionate dude, but that won’t make them a jerk either. (°▽°)/

they just met and they weren’t friends yet. what deep stuff do we know about the other guys from the first chapters? she met victor as an investor. you can’t expect some chatty friendship to happen instantly. there are lines for business relationships. he’s also not obligated to coddle / comfort her. once they become friendly with each other tho, they trade barbs and tease each other. (°◡°)
