so i was only actually planning to do four slots for my fic writers appreciation nano project? but then @greenteafiend​ posted The Gift earlier this month and i read it like four times in a delightful fit of shameless self-indulgence so i thought i’d do one more.  

im SUCH a sucker for hurt/comfort and this one is a huge feelings-dense dollop of both in good balance

tbh i really wanted to do the airlock scene, which is iconic and a really haunting image, but i saw that leggyDeco (sp?) already did a perfect illustration of it (embedded in the fic, such a good crop/composition) so i snagged the moment right after.
