Things I hope to draw this pride month:

- falin x marcille (dungeon meshi)

- jon x martin (the magnus archives)

- likely a Jrwi pride piece, maybe a redraw of one from last year or an albatrio piece of them all repping their respective pride flags (I believe in transmasc Chip!!)

- likely some oc art of my trans characters. Not enough nonbinary characters in media

- maybe some kingdom come deliverance or baldurs gate stuff 🤷🤷🤷

- maybe a self portrait/meet the artist type thing 🤔

if anyone is unaware, I’m an artist but I’m also a sociological scholar finishing up my undergraduate degree this coming year. I have an interest in art history (particularly medieval) and queer studies in general! I’ll save my sociological interest in vampires for a different post 🦇

I hope people think about vampire Lucy Westenra’s sexuality and denial/total reversal of the “caring mother” archetype as a major part of Dracula 1897’s whole Vampires-As-Other theme, and how vampires are often used as a stand in for any group of people that are seen as dangerous to the “natural social order” (maybe I’ll ramble about vampires and fears of immigration soon)

Gender and sexuality in Dracula are so interesting!! Very queer book ❤️🦇
