She blinked over at him, all doe eyes and innocence, listening to his words. There were a lot of things her father was capable, but murdering Edward Tully, his star little officer, for sleeping with his daughter? He might beat the shit out of him, but Brianna firmly believed he wouldnât kill the guy.
Then again, as Edward brought his lips down to his and placed his fingers on her body only covered with a sheet, Brianna didnât think sheâd blame her father if he did.
The woman let her own hand slide up to his cheek absentmindedly, knowing that even if Eddie wouldnât look at her the same after this, she was going to enjoy it while she could. Little Brianna Selmy wasnât the type of girl to end up with the guy.
âProbably,â she muttered back, pulling away to grin up at him, and then quickly peck his lips again, âand yet, here we are. Oh, while weâre here, wanna have some breakfast in bed? Itâs not exactly a proper date, but at least you can say you wined and dined me before or after â donât specify â luring me into your bed.â
Eddie was hovering over Brianna, his hand caressing her cheek when she pulled away and suggested breakfast in bed. The young Detective was taken aback for two reasons, firstly he had expected that Brianna would have wanted to get away as quickly as possible, second he was excited for the notion to spend more time with Brianna in this secret place of theirs.
They didnât have to be Brianna Selmy and Edward Tully here. Theyâd shed those roles last night. They were just two young lovers away from the weight of their names and the responsibilities they brought.
âThat...sounds amazing.â Eddie grinned, leaning down to kiss her more slowly than he had before. He pulled away realizing that he quite enjoyed kissing her with a momentary bite of his lower lip in desire.
âWaffles?â he grinned, moving his hands downward to squeeze her hip affectionately.Â
