For Renata
All you need is "Pragmatic Resolve". -Resolve; the determination to act without fear, with autonomy, and with urgency. -Autonomy; is the ability to act on your own without getting affected by external influences; independence. -Urgency; if you want to have resolve, you have to set priorities quickly. You need to be pragmatic; dealing with things sensibly and realistically in a way that is based on practical rather than theoretical considerations. Once you have resolve, no one can ever take it from you, and this applies to the US route and any single life goal. You also should be advised that resolve is a mental hardworking process. For example; Instead of saying; 1. "I wanna be a US practicing physician" You'd rather say; 2. " I wanna be a US radiologist, I wanna develop more communication skills; being able to comfortably give a presentation in rounds and interact better with my patients, build may be a charisma and whatsoever is it that you'd wanna do." Because you know what? Life occurs in chunks! It's also part of the mental hardworking process mentioned earlier, and you'll have to start learning how to master every single component. It's hard to master the entire thing at once. I know a lot of us who have mentally gave up, or are about to think of giving up, honest to god, I'm one of them who has been studying steps for two years, and you know why we tend to give up? Because we don't just see immediate results; they are kinda ambiguous but if we think about it, even the greatest purpose of life is only rewarded to those who believe, act, and resolve. But the reassuring thing about this mental exhaustion is that if you have fear to fail, you simply wouldn't be trying in the first place, so if you're not failing, you're not trying. What are the components of resolve? 1. Removal of fear or failure. 2. Willingness to act alone (autonomy). 3. Prudent risk taker. 4. Undiluted focus. 5. Rapidly set priorities. 6. Overcome obstacles. If you're new to this route, please persevere, if you're in the middle, also persevere, while if you're almost there then persevere! Categories: 1. Skills + Belief, but not behavior = Won’t act appropriately. 2. Skills + Behavior, but not the belief = Won’t act confidently. 3. Behavior + Belief, but not the skill = Won’t act competently. 4. Is the ideal place to be to have resolve; resolution.
