Roth's mighty OUTLAW!  Built in '59 and unleashed in '60 this wildly customized Model A was light years ahead of it's time.

Intergalactically famous stylist Ed “Big Daddy” Roth, says the article. Indeed!  Big Daddy shows the kids how to customize their tiny Revell kits in the pages of Rod & Custom, OCT 1961.

Big Daddy was a regular fixture in the pages of Car Craft and Rod & Custom through the 60's.  Here he shows us his ROAD AGENT in the process of being built in CAR CRAFT, March 1964.

REVELL BRINGS YOU ED ROTH'S OUTLAW!  Roth's fiberglass and chrome masterpiece debuted in 1960 and in 1962 it was the first show rod to be reproduced as a plastic model kit by the folks at Revell.  Roth scores another first and judging by its overwhelming success, every kid in America bought one!  There would be more to come.

MERRY CHRISTMAS from ED ROTH RULES!!!

HILLBILLY CRASH HELMETS!  The Hillbilly Crash helmet, aka Rat Fink Hat was a hot rod tradition seen at the drag strip in the early 60's.  The idea goes back to one of the origins of drag racing… the Hillbilly Moonshiner who would hop up his car to run away from the cops!  Roth started selling these with a big RF, or the person's name on them and they caught on like wildfire, even appearing in Beach Party Movies and as the preferred headgear of skateboard teams!
