Satoru’s lips are sliding against Suguru’s, slow and deliberate and hot, so hot, so much that Suguru’s whole body sings with pleasure and joy at what this is. Suguru is doing it. I finished it 🥳 I know I still have a lot of room for improvement, but I love this scene and I love crimson supernova so much, so it’s fun using it as inspiration for practice.

A sleek, jet-black fish, almost featureless but for the smooth, graceful waves of its fins, slips out from behind a rock. It rises higher, meeting his eyeline, then dips low again and veers suddenly to the left. Just as it passes the centre of the tank, it intersects with a pale white fish moving in the opposite direction. For a moment, they swim together in parallel, and when they turn to instead spin together, their bodies almost touch. The curve of one mirrors the other in their fleeting dance, and at the end of it, the black one veers down and the white one up. They’re gone. Satoru still looks ahead. It takes about four hundred milliseconds for the ciliary muscles in his eyes to accommodate looking at a far object rather than a close one. That’s all he gets—four hundred milliseconds of preparation. Once they’ve been used up, right there, on the other side of the glass, Satoru sees him. It’s not a hallucination or a trick of the light or a mistake. Suguru.

Whoa I finished this way faster than I thought I would 😳 I feel like I improved a lot doing this piece, and it was honestly so fun learning how to render water, I kinda wanna do it again 👀
