Alice bit her lip and blushed, giggling a little. It was a good sign that the other woman was offering to walk her home despite living right upstairs. This time Alice dared to be the bold one, leaning forward and looking at her lips for a moment before flicking her gaze back up to her eyes. âIâd be happy for the short walk upstairs to your place. It doesnât mean the night has to end there, after all.âÂ
She could see the way Siennaâs eyes lit up when she spoke about activism, and it made Alice smile wide. More than anything Alice wanted to be like the heroes in the books she read and movies and shows she watched: someone brave and fearless whoâd stand up for the right thing and protect others from harm. âWell, you know, itâs all in a days work. Someone has to be willing to stand up for whatâs right, after all. Iâve got a few things in the works at the moment, speaking of. Iâd love more people to have my back.â
Siennaâs cheeks flushed crimson as she had to look away, it was all fun and games to think about the possibility of a hook up but when it came down to it, despite all her lust she was terrified of saying or doing something wrong. Her bravery only ever took her so far. âI mean I have plenty of room.â she managed to get out, feeling as though her cheeks were burning now. âAnd um.. lots of .. books?â
âWe canât let anyone bully us into silence.â Sienna expressed, more firmly than she had intended. It was almost as if something had possessed her to speak in such a way, which confused her as she had never been wronged by anyone in Evermore. âOh really? Can you spill the beans or is it top secret?â she asked, on the edge of her metaphorical seat only dying to know what Alice was planning. âIf you ever need a partner in crime-- no wait, activism, I can make myself available.â
