#WednesdayWorkout | go with the flow _____ a combination of flexibility and strength - the blueprint for life, right? we need to stand strong in what we believe and be clear about what we want but also be flexible and fluid in our processes, allowing God to guide us day by day. Grateful for this gentle reminder. _____ I won't give you instructions; sets, reps or timed intervals. Instead, I just want you to move today. Let your body tell you what it needs then you listen and do that. Put on your favorite song at the moment and just go with the flow. YOUR flow.

#TuesdayTip: set yourself up for the win!! _____ My fitness slogan is DECIDE. COMMIT. SUCCEED. A crucial part of making a decision is doing your best to consider all things that will be effected on the other side of your choice. I know that, for women of color especially, hair can often be an obstacle on the fitness journey. As a swimmer, that's a large part of the reason I wore my hair short for 10+ years. Twice daily washing and styling was not on my agenda! When I decided to give long hair a try again, I knew right away that I had to choose a style that makes sense for my active life. I ultimately settled on locs and, nearly 8 months in, I'm SO HAPPY with my choice!! (Shout out to @drkariwill at @mahoganyrevolution for keeping me right 😉) Other women use protective styles such as extensions, hair units, braids, twists, etc. Do whatever works for you to stay committed so you can succeed!! _____ This rule doesn't just apply to hairstyles. In everything you do, consider the residual effects on other areas of your life. Do your best to plan accordingly to align yourself with your intended outcome. Alley-oop yourself for the win!
