There is a really toxic side of the trans (masc. in particular) community where people are insanely nasty towards otherâs surgeries and medical progress.Â
You see way too many comments about penises being too âsmallâ or âunrealisticâ or âuglyâ, and scars being âtoo obviousâ or âtoo stretchedâ.Â
Like.. you do realise that someone has made the decision to put something so personal online to provide education and help for us right? And youâre completely disrespecting them?Â
Making the people in your own community feel like complete shit about their bodies which is.. you know.. what transphobic people do..?Â
Are you aware that the information youâve found online these days would not exist if it wasnât for people sharing their experiences?Â
Do you really expect people to continue being so open when theyâre just going to be ridiculed for having a slightly wonky penis or bigger nipples?Â
You need to stop being nasty to these kind brave people who are trying to help this community and start respecting them, and thanking them for it.Â
We need to be kinder to each other.
not even just this. but i find the trans masc community to be so over the top focused on surgery and transition that you start to feel defined by how much or how little youâve transitioned. (as well as how much you do or donât want to transition.)
