Dylan thought he could lay low, keep off the grid and keep hidden as a lowly worker at the lumber mill. Unfortunately, the mill's owner had ties to the local mob, which was controlled indirectly by... Mr. Carver! Dylan was in his nefarious clutches again!

Mr. Carver, being a man of culture, taste and refined tastes resisted the temptation to wear a bright red sequined suit to his implacable enemy's (premature) wake, but he was sorely tempted to do so.

It became quite a chore for the gravediggers to haul the coffin outside to the cemetery. Normally, there is no banging, kicking or muffled shouting from with caskets. But eventually, they lugged it out to the field and into the ground. The diggers manned-up and ignored as best they could they frantic cries emitting from six feet below as they shoveled dirt on top.

Nick's heart was torn as he languished deep in the bowels of Mr. Carver's stronghold compound. The vicious Mr. Carver had made it clear that he wouldn't murder Nick until after he'd tracked down Nick's beloved Dylan Cassidy and done away with him first. So long as he remained alive, Nick could rest easy knowing that Dylan must still be alive. But where?? Where could Dylan be, and would he... COULD he ever rescue Nick?

Alas, unbeknownst to Nick, Dylan had given one implacable enemy the slip only to fall into the hands of another. When Casey and Wyatt offered to hide him from Mr. Carver's international cartel, he'd gratefully accepted their help. He only learned too late that they were members of the notorious Laredo Gang - a small cult of sex-crazed cowboys! Dylan was helpless as helpless in their grasp as Nick was in Mr. Carver's!

Attempting to rescue his boyfriend Nick, our intrepid hero Dylan Cassidy infiltrated the nefarious Mr. Carver's yacht. Alas, it was all an elaborate trap and Dylan walked right into Mr. Carver's clutches again!

Dylan hoped that if he and Nick split up, the sadistic Mr. Carver would ignore Nick and only come after him. It proved to be a disastrously wrong bet. Mr. Carver kidnapped the young biker and kept him prisoner in an effort to lure Dylan out in the open.

The seaside resort had been evacuated that morning after the earthquake out at sea. Not a soul remained for miles around.

When Mr. Carver's goons tied Dylan and his true love Nick to the posts of the rotted old pier, there was no-one around to witness it... or help them.

"Nick is dying because of you, Dylan." Mr. Carver smugly declared. "I would have been content to just leave you to meet your doom all alone. Nick could have been miles away from here now. But because you loved him, Dylan, he'll have to pay with his life!" It was twisted and false, but Dylan was helpless to respond. Nick was as well.

The sand beneath the docks had been bone dry when first they were tied to the old posts and the shoreline had been many yards away. But by the time Mr. Carver had finished gloating over their helplessness, the water was lapping over their boots.

"Enjoy the rest of the day, gazing into each other's eyes, gentlemen." Mr. Carver sneered as he turned to go. "When that wave makes landfall, it's gonna hit you with the force of a billion tons of bricks dropping on you. Goodbye!" And with that, the vile tech billionaire sauntered back to his private helicopter and departed.

Hours passed by. Dylan and Nick never rested for a minute tugging and wrestling with the ropes holding them fast, but it was all to no avail. The water level crept higher and ever higher.

With the implacable Mr. Carver dogging his every move, Dylan never dreamed he'd fall in love with anybody. It would be too dangerous to include anyone else in his life.

But Nick Parker, a young biker, had come to his rescue once when it seemed like a certain death for the young cowboy. The two young men couldn't fight their attraction to each other and gave in.

Alas, as Dylan foresaw, Mr. Carver decided that - if for no other reason than to torture Dylan that little bit more - poor Nick had to be included in his death grudge as well.

Dylan Cassidy begged the authorities and the EMTs to listen to him! He struggled with all his might to vocalize through the gag that HE was the one who was in danger, not Mr. Carver! But Mr. Carver had documentation (forged though it was) to prove that Dylan was under his custodian-ship due to the young man's unstable mental health.

It could all be easily disproven. But did the sheriff, his deputies and the EMTs actually believe Dylan suffered from paranoid delusions... or did the prodigious number of "Grover Clevelands" that Mr. Carver generously circulated among the men have something to do with it?

By coincidence, I have been trying to create a scenario like that. Alas, AI generators don't seem to understand the concept of quicksand. Lol. Results so far have been rather ridiculous.

Naturally, the villainous Mr. Carver had deep ties with organized crime. He turned to the Godfather to ask for a favor: Help him wipe out Dylan Cassidy! The mob decided to use an old-fashioned solution to deal with the problem.

The sinister Mr. Carver arranged for a very special three-hour cruise for our hero, Dylan.
