thinking so much about the actual logistics of williamâs death. like, surely heâs not actually legally dead â nobody knows heâs dead, other than mike and vanessa and, somehow, michael. his bodyâs in the suit in freddyâs, and is still there at the end of the second movie; nobody else ever found it, so technically thereâs no body. william afton has been missing for years, steve raglan has been missing for months. no leads, no real search.
no inheritance. michael with no access to his fatherâs fortune or assets. has to break into his fatherâs workshops and office, forge documents, steal to survive. heâs only not living in the dark because the bills are paid automatically, but heâs had to forge his fatherâs signature on letters, imitate his voice over the phone.
no closure. vanessaâs skin crawls every time she checks her mail or the phone rings, wondering if this time itâll be someone âinformingâ her of her fatherâs death. sometimes she can only wonder if heâs really dead at all.
