Who Is the Fairest of Them All?

She smiled and snuggled into him as he pulled her onto his lap. Even in the most difficult of times they could still somehow manage to make each other smile. It was one of the many things she loved about being with him. “Yeah, we’re a mess but we’re a hot mess.” She laughed lightly, lifting her hand to run her thumb along his jaw softly. “The beach?” She repeated, thinking it over for a moment. It wasn’t something that they would normally do, but she was up for anything today. “Yeah, I would love to go to the beach.” She nodded, the smile never leaving her face as she tilted her head up to kiss his lips gently. 

A happy smile played on his lips as he gently kissed hers before standing up and taking her hand. "Let's blow this Popsicle stand." He said with a nod as he helped her out and into his car. Usually they didn't go to the beach. It was very difficult to make everything work there, but today he didn't care. He was ready to carry whatever she needed him to. Once he got everything, he headed out himself and chuckled a bit. "To the beach then." Hopefully it would help get their mind off of things and just keep them calm. 

      “Don’t say that,” Andie sat up and rested her head on his shoulder, kissing his cheek. While, yes, she did tend to take care of their daughter a lot of the time, that wasn’t to say that Chris didn’t do anything. Looking down at their baby girl, she smiled and looked over at Chris. “She’s so beautiful,” she whispered, grinning despite herself.

His eyes went down to their baby girl as he smiled wide before looking over at her. "She looks just like you. That's why she's so beautiful." He kissed her forehead before laying back a bit but keeping the little girl in his arms. Most of all he made sure the older girl was laying down as well even if her head was on his shoulder. "But she's a real good sleeper. Look, she's passed out." He said with a little chuckle as he held her close to his chest. 

       Andie smiled softly as Christopher rubbed her back. This all had been very difficult, yes, parenthood usually was. But what he said was true, they were a team. And a good one at that. “Are you sure?” She asked groggily. “Doesn’t being on a team mean that I should help too?”

Chris chuckled and shook his head as he continued to rock the little girl in his arms. "Yeah, but I don't feel like I've been a very good team member." He admitted. Most nights she was the one taking care of the little girl, but he knew that had to change. "Get some sleep." He muttered as he kissed the top of her head and continued to rub her back, hoping it would help her fall asleep.

      “—-If I’m being honest, it tastes like you tried to make yogurt.”

"Har har." She said as she playfully rolled her eyes before smelling the milk before quickly pulling away. "I'll just go get another gallon later." 

She leaned into him, smiling as the male snuck a kiss to her cheek. “Just you and me.” She smirked, her hand now wrapping around him. “Let’s go, darling.”

Before they left, he made sure no one noticed that they were sneaking off before holding her close and heading off. Hand in hand and with fingers intertwined, he looked over at her with a grin. "So now that it's just you and me, what would you like to do? I'm all yours." 

     ”It tastes like it was left out in the sun for too long.”

"   I might have left it out in the car for a while, but not for to long. It doesn't taste that funny, right?" 

She grinned against his lips, smirking as she noticed he was caught slightly off guard. “That’d be nice, yeah.” She chuckled, a hand straying on his cheek.

He wrapped a hand around her waist and kept her close before sneaking a kiss to her cheek lightly. "I think we can sneak off." He whispered in her ear before chuckling a bit and motioning her over. "Just me and you." 

"Because that means effort." he shrugged, "I am too lazy for that stuff. Plus it means I have to think." 

"Then don't complain that this conversation isn't interesting if you can't think of anything to talk about." she huffed as she crossed her arms over her chest. 

       ”—-Oh, uh, what was that?”

"The milk's spoiled? I swore I just bought it." 

"Well, then why don't you make this conversation interesting if it's so boring." 

"—"             She kinda just wants it to be them right now.

Christopher couldn't help but chuckle against her lips as he raised an eyebrow. He was a little caught off guard, but grinned nonetheless. "You wanna head out?" 

      Andie smiled at him and eventually handed him their kid, pressing a kiss on his cheek. “Thanks,” she mumbled and climbed back into their bed, letting out an exhausted yawn. “Me neither.” Andie agreed and pressed her face firmly in the pillow. She didn’t think she even knew what sleep was at this point.

Christopher gently took the little baby into his arms and slowly started to rock her, hoping that she would go to sleep sometime soon. "Hey, we're a team." He muttered as he used a free hand to gently rub her back as she put her face in the pillow. "Maybe you should sleep in tomorrow. I think I can handle her, how hard can it be?" 

❝Selfieee! —Ready? Cause I look good.❞ Cameron squealed like the typical teenage girls these day.

"That is actually a good impression   a very good impression." Juliet said as she raised her eyebrows. "In fact, it's so good, it's slightly scary." 

      “It isn’t like I carried our child around for nine months,” Andie stated as she changed her diaper. “I think I could have a break, maybe get a little sleep for once…”

"You're right, you're right." Christopher muttered as he yawned and wiped his eyes since he was now awake. "Next time she cries, I promise to handle it. Here, I'll even get her back to sleep." He gave her a little smile before shrugging his shoulders. "I guess I'm still not used to this whole crying all day and night."
