“Hmm?” Hit raised his brow the moment that he had heard voices. He stopped in his tracks and turned around. Looking down at them. It was clear to him that they were Saiyans. What was it that they were after? Only one way to find out. “That is right. Who are you? What do you want?”

      ❝ Fight me. ❞ The statement was sudden, brief, and brimming full with confidence. She spoke without skipping a beat, truly from the heart. However powerful this girl was, she was clearly confident enough in her own abilities to seek out a legendary assassin and challenge him to a fight. And while she stood, stone cold stoicism engraved in her features, the other Saiyan started to shake something fierce.

He stepped close to her, his height immense compared to her much smaller form. He was a giant of a Tuffle, and taller than most Saiyans out-rightly. He wasn’t scared of her, and her threats meant nothing to him…

She may as well have been an insect by the way he looked at her with such loathing and disgust.

“ You can’t boss me around, Saiyan…..I’m above anything even you’ve seen before. You’re not even worth my time……monkey.” 

       Despite the other’s intimidating body language, Caulifla absolutely refused to back down. Rather, she’d puff her chest out wide in an attempt to size up to the much larger Baby. Voice coarsened to a bark, she shouted back.

       ❝ You asshats are always all bark and no bite! Thinkin’ you’re so high and mighty and shit! Besides, why’re you so pissed at us anyways? Even if we just looked at you funny or some shit like that, that’s no reason to call me and my precious protégé monkeys! ❞ It seemed that Caulifla was plenty familiar with starting fights for less-than-valid reasons.

“No… No I am not okay… I need a minute.” Gine was having a bad day. Her husband was killed, her planet was destroyed by an evil tyrant, her sons were god knows where, and she had crashed in a place she had yet to know. That combine with space travel sickness was enough to make anyone pop. But she was slowly getting a hold of herself and turned to look at the two girls.

They looked like Saiyans, black hair and everything. But when she peered to look, they did not have tails. Couldn’t be Saiyans. No Saiyan would remove their own tail. It was a sign of great humiliation and weakness. She looked around at the unfamiliar landscape. “W-where am I?”

       Two pairs of dark eyes gazed on in quiet pity, musing over the befuddled Saiyan. The mix of anguish, shock, and confusion turned her into quite the sad sight for the pair to witness. Meanwhile, their thoughts finally turned to the elephant in the room. The tail. This woman, who had similar armor, hair, eyes, and skin to them, also had that... thing wrapped around her waist. She had to be some weird mutant, surely. Or maybe just an entirely separate species altogether.

    A nervous chuckle escapes cherry-coated lips; such an utterance was more so forced than genuine, as evidenced by the smile that accompanied it which lacked assurance. They were sisters, even if not by blood, and our timid saiyaness was more than accustomed to the sukeban’s antics, but that didn’t make her any less awkward at times.

             Nice going, dingus.

    “Y-you know Sis, maybe you shouldn’t have wasted your time on him..?” she replied, subtly hinting at the fact that she didn’t agree with Caulifla’s resort to violence. And more importantly, don’t waste your time beating me up–!! Kale attempted to weasel her way out, taking a small side step away from the other girl. Running away was what she did best! 

    “Ah… i-isn’t it a nice day today..?? Why don’t we do something normal, like go for a walk? O-or go get some food–?”

            It was always painfully easy to tell whenever she was making excuses.

     ❝ Kale. ❞ Her statement, as punctual as it was, was painted over by an unrecognizable emotion. It waned like the deep pitch of disapproval, yet it lacked the negative connotation. Concern, perhaps? That would probably be the closest descriptor possible but even then it didn’t seem to fully accommodate the full change in tone. Further emphasizing the tonal shift was the squeezing of Kale’s shoulder, disguised as a further pat.

     ❝ I get it, ❞ she quietly uttered. ❝ You’re not as hyped about fighting as someone like me. ❞ Truth be told, she actually didn’t understand it at all. But at least she was able to grasp the concept. Or part of it. Kind of. 

     ❝ But we still have to keep on our toes, y’know? Plenty of people out there want us beaten to a pulp, and I don’t know what I’d do if my precious protégé somehow got hurt. If I know that you’re as strong as you have the potential to be, it’d really help to put a damper on all those worries. ❞ A brief pause, punctuated by a deep inhale of the dusty air. Then, she’d open her eyes to shine light on a cocky smile.
