well, seems like I’ve reached a new milestone ! I mean, wow, so many of you are out there following my lame and clumsy Ariel, and I would thank all of you for being so kind with me, and for being so patient with my replies and with my messy character. yes, he was sure that they’d met before. not directly, obviously; he’d never seen this girl in person before. for the longest time, he dreamt of meeting the one. it didn’t matter that she was a peasant, or that his father would never approve of such a relationship. besides, the man was stuck in the past.
after all, it was the fourteenth century.
but he was getting ahead of himself. he’d already made such a horrid first impression that it wouldn’t surprise him if the young woman wanted nothing to do with him.

What better than a confidant for both these individuals? She knew that Flora, Fauna, and Merryweather would not appreciate it if they found out that she had met someone, had found a friend. After all, even friends started as strangers. But she simply could not bare to let this girl pass by without befriending her. She needed someone other than herself in this world to talk to, after all. Someone her own age.
“You speak as though you're me! I'm in much the same situation, though I can't say that I've ever come across a dwarf. Are they as alarming as the stories say? Oh, forgive me, that certainly wasn't polite, I've just never had another person to talk to. I'm not sure I know which manners to use, really.”
”I’m not sure. Let’s go!”
Aurora grinned as she held out her arm for him to take, trusting him to lead her to the moon bounce. "Then let's go," she agreed with a soft smile.

at first, the newly crowned princess wasn't sure what she was looking at. she recognized the princess of arandelle, if only from her parents' descriptions of all the nearby royalty.
( and wasn't that strange? to think of these strangers as her parents? )
but why was she at aurora's door? especially in such a state, and in such weather? without thinking, aurora ushered her inside, leading her closer to the fire before sending for a change of clothes and some warm soup to be brought to her rooms.
once that was seen to, aurora turned her attention to the princess. she'd been caught up in enough rainstorms while with the faeries to be able to deal with their effects.
"what happened, dear? i didn't know you were coming."
"You look like you need cheering up." Hans remarked, looking pensively at the young woman's face. His green eyes were gentle and his smile kind. "I'd be more than happy to assist."
the somber expression that had been fixed on her face didn't leave at the man's words, though it did soften asmall bit. she was apprehensive, of course, as she always was when faced with an unfamiliar person. it was a habit ingrained into her from her childhood in the woods, and one she would not lose merely because she was now aware of her title.
"thank you. it's not easily cured, though, i am afraid."
the words were soft as she looked up at him, eyes scanning the man's face gently for a moment as she wrapped her arms around herself.
