STORY STATUS - DAY 7
Dave of Stri'dir has been found in the dungeon, mutated into a monster. The Prince of Heart has been stolen away to no one even knows where. And Kanaya Maryam has just committed her first murder.
After the explosive events of the night, Karkat Vans has agreed to help bring Kanaya down to the dungeon. But that assurance isn't enough- there's still the tower in the woods which the Prince has left behind, and now that it's getting around the friend group that an expedition to the bottom of the dungeon is imminent, how can she choose who to take and who to leave?
THE LOCATION
The Isle of Skaia, a little island known for it's Dungeon which, while relatively new, appears to draw adventurers from far and wide with a mysterious call...
Lo'Oat appears to come from an old language, meaning "(Land of) Omens and Truth"
The Wasted Door, a secret entrance to the dungeon carved into the mountainside. At the end of a long, claustrophobic tunnel is a grand reception chamber seemingly in praise to two old serpentine Gods.
THE CAST
Kanaya Maryam, Sylph - A scholar from a Western kingdom ruled by the Queen of Elves. She has set sail to the island of Skaia to follow the trail left by a book penned by a mysterious author...
Karkat, Leader - a lockpick party leader recommended by Chilchuck Tims. Ornery, neurotic, but fiercely loyal- he only agrees to go to the dungeon when it becomes clear that an old friend may still be alive, and that perhaps that old friend may be more...
Terezi, Right-hand - A blind half-foot with a sharp laugh and an even sharper grin, she seems to delight in tormenting and otherwise messing with everyone else. Her mischief hides a greater purpose, however, and she seems to have some history with
Vriska, thief - A tallman thief who nonetheless appears so ineffective in her theft that no one really reports her. She flirts with Kanaya for the sole purpose of stealing from her then turns around and promises to take her to the bottom of the dungeon- but what's her true purpose?
Feferi, Magic User - A selkie with a high affinity for magic and a deft hand at healing and resurrection! She is the likely culprit of who sang the half-foot steward off his ship some days prior, but she made sure to save him before anything terrible happened.
Aradia, Exorcist - A tallman magic user with an encyclopedic knowledge of ghosts and the supernatural. She is another kind face on Skaia, though perhaps a little too interested in the workings of the dead. Would really like someone's ectoplasm the next time they die.
Eridan, Magic User - Feferi's mage friend and fellow selkie, a somewhat disagreeable and contrarian companion that Kanaya tolerates, seeing as he at least is willing to help, despite his lack of filter. His mid-ranged attacks appear lethal.
Equius, Berserker - An ogre with a particularly noble bearing and somewhat sweaty demeanor. One of Aradia's friends and a part of Feferi's extended group, he seems to have an interest in the machinery long ago forbidden by the elves and dwarves...
Nepeta Leijon, Retainer - A cat beastman with a relaxed attitude and a sense of playfulness to contrast Equius's sullenness. Despite her playful nature, she's incredibly loyal and hard to take down in a fight, quick to join hands with anyone who can help protect what's hers.
Tavros Nitram, Beast-Tamer - A gnome with a particularly high affinity toward spirits and a prodigious knowledge of Skaia's flora and fauna. Despite not having much magic under his belt, his animal communion makes it hard to catch him unawares.
Gamzee Makara, Bard - A kobold who knows much about the island's many legends and histories, but only really remembers them in song form. A bit of an opium-hound, he stays relatively relaxed until the people he cares about are in danger.
Sollux Captor, Mage - A gnome with a particularly elvish casting style, seeing as how he has some kind of vendetta against spirits. He mostly keeps to himself, though he has strange visions which portend some advanced doom he's unable to explain.
Mr. Egbert, Baker - A Tallman hailing from Skaia who owns a bakery in the little aboveground village of Lo'Oat. Five years before, his daughter was lost to the dungeon. Every time he attempts to enter and find her body, he's almost immediately killed.
Porrim Maryam, Court Magician - A Court Magician in the Court of the Queen of Elves and Kanaya's elder sister. This is who Kanaya writes to the most about her adventures within the Dungeon.
R. L. Theras / Rose Lalonde, Magic User - The mysterious author of Learned Complacency: A Record of the Zoologically Dubious in Skaia Dungeon, Kanaya's favorite book and adventuring guide.
Turntech / Dave of Stri'dir, Knight - found in the dungeon, fused with the bottom half of a basilisk as a chimera. It's difficult to tell whether he is still independently sentient or if his mind is lost.
Dirk Strider - found dragging himself to the dungeon, armed only with his sword, after years of apparent starvation and neglect. He is teleported away by Dave for unknown reasons.
Missing, presumed dead.
Ecto / June Egbert, Egbert Party leader - Missing, presumed dead.
Gnostio / Jade Harley, Arcane Researcher - Missing, presumed dead.
Jake English, tallman hunter - Missing, presumed dead.
Roxy Lalonde, elvish mage - Missing, presumed dead.
Jane Crocker, Crocker party leader - Missing, presumed dead.
