I Have Never Been In Love
I would like to think that I “love” so many people, places, memories, and inanimate objects, but I have never been in love with another person. My lips have touched those of men, women, and people identifying as neither, but I’ve never been in love with any of them.
I think I’ve loved all the people I’ve ever dated, but the phrase has never came directly out of my mouth because we all have different views on what love means to us. To me it means that being with them makes me smile, they do good in my life, and envy is nonexistent. Love is not romanticized for me, like it is for some, because being “in love” is a different concept than the noun.
It is ideal for me to separate the two because of how much I desire to find the perfect partner for myself someday.

Roy Lichtenstein was born in New York in 1923 and raised in the upper west side. His educational career began as he attended public school which he was a student at up until twelve years of age when he then transferred over to New York’s Dwight School. After a high school diploma was received, he entered Ohio State’s graduate program and was hired as an art instructor. His first solo exhibit took place in New York at the Carlebach Gallery. He started experimenting with expressionism and cubism within his art. He was also the first American artist to exhibit at the Tate Gallery in London. Lichtenstein started his artwork with the mediums of oil and magna. He’s known for paintings which consist of comic book resemblance. This effect is produced through thick outlines, bold colors, and Ben Day dots. He believed his art differed from other abstract expressionists because his artwork didn’t come out looking calligraphic.
On December 22nd 1960, an artist who took over the walls of Lower East Side of Manhattan with his political messages, enduring attacks on power structures and the subordination of black men, was born in Brooklyn New York. Jean-Michel Basquiat was always intrigued by visiting the Brooklyn Museum of Art with his mother as she had always encouraged her son to expand his artistic abilities. He began attending an art oriented school at the age of eleven, but his educational career ended with him dropping out of high school at the age of seventeen. In 1978 Basquiat began working at the art department for the Unique Clothing Warehouse. During his days he would attend his job, but during the nights he would be out spraying painting his art within “SAMO” on neighborhood buildings. SAMO was a pseudonym for a graffiti duo between Basquiat and Al Diaz, they would portray politics within their art work. Once the friendship between the two ended, so did “SAMO,” as the message “SAMO is dead” was plastered on the walls of SoHo buildings in 1979. Over the lifetime of Basquiat’s career as an artist he created more than 1500 drawings, 600 paintings, and many other sculptures and forms of art. In late 198, Basquiat held his first public exhibit in a vacant building at 41st Street and Seventh Avenue, New York. He began sharing his artwork among other neo-expressionism artists regularly. Basquiat suffered from a heroin addiction. He tried to recover, with a brief amount of sobriety, but failed. He died at his studio in Manhattan’s NoHo neighborhood at age twenty seven, and lost to his addiction. Basquiat came from living on the streets, after dropping out of highschool, to selling a singular form of art for $25,000.

Anyone else terrified that they are toxic and manipulative and just can’t see it? Or is that just me?
Saturday 1 AM
“Today I am sad,” said the one with blue hair They lounged in their bed with tears in their head No not on their cheeks, or touching their eyes They thought of all the bad things building inside
Not clothed they exposed the skin on their butt Like the people who hurt them, laid secrets naked to the world The words that they said to a very good friend Died among romance and among that went kin
They gave their heart too quickly, it hurt so much But it wasn’t physical wounds, they couldn’t clean out the cuts “Can your skin bleed or burn?” They said once again Because this is too much, and that was the end

When I Moved to Philadelphia
I had no friends and after a long high school experience of being pushed around and used, that’s all I wanted. So I moved three hours away from Central Pennsylvania to Philadelphia. I wanted a fresh start, I wanted friends who actually made an effort to have me in their life, I never had that before. This is about me, this is about what went wrong along the way, how I got to this agonizing sadness once again.
Women bathing at the brook, Ferdinand Georg Waldmüller, 1848
Listen mother fuckers. Vincent Van Gogh didn’t eat yellow paint because he thought it would make him happy. HE WAS TRYNA DIE. Yeah he thought yellow was a happy color, but who doesn’t? Fuck people who think they’re being “trendy” talking about a topic they have no knowledge on. Expand your minds and learn something.
