'I thought that robot was going to scrap Paper Man, poor boy..!' 'Poor boy? Max, he's a robotā¦!' 'Well, I know, but they really look self aware, moving and talking⦠you know? I know they're pretty much toasters, but againā¦I dunno, they're cute' 'Weird stuff you might be into apart, maybe it's time to get a stronger robot to help us. If we could afford it, that's itā¦' Those were the words of the two workers watching over the scene, but Paper Man didn't seem to be listening. He, apparently, got stuck as he was standing. Quiet, trembling in frustration, and with a disproving expression, but wordless. He stayed like that like that as Cut Man got in the truck and only moved when the transport started moving itself⦠Then Paper ran next to it following as he could. 'You're wrong!! Robots and humans can coexist! That IS what we're made for! Come back, and I'll show you! My humans care about me, Cut Man, they're my f-!!' Little robot, big truck. Too close. The watching men turned back in shock, seeing as the truck bumped and almost fell over its side. 'FOR GOD'S SAKE, IT'S CRUSHED IT!!!' āāā 'I'm not just a machine, rightā¦? We're⦠Friends' āāā The lumberyard, some days later. Paper Man stepped over the grass, approaching firmly the place. Even if he had not been there almost ever, he didn't doubt his steps. He moved quickly, knowing what he was looking for. More or less. The warehouse, probably that was it.He got in, he was not intimidated by the strong humans that looked at him as he crossed along the place. He trusted humans. He even pulled away from his way two of them that probably didn't see him coming, when they happened to be in his way. When he finished looking all over the warehouse, he stopped moving at last, looked around and rose his voice so all the workers could hear him. 'Where is Cut Man, I've come to talk to him' In his hips rested both of his arms, but the right one was different. It was not part of his original design anymore, but a much simpler, replacement piece. Same went to his lower body, and the halfside of his face. He looked around. 'He's MEANT to be here, right?'
