I miss when there was cable tv; making sure you tuned on time to your favorite tv show each week. Even Super Bowl ads were better when we had cable. I miss going to the mall to get new outfits. It was a vibe to walk around with all your shopping bags, and come home and it somehow felt like a birthday going through all your bags and seeing everything you got. I miss the OG Victoria's Secret. The lingerie sets, the pjs, the store decor. OG Pink was flirty and fun. Buying Pink underwear with funny phrases for each holiday. I miss watching music videos in the a.m. on MTV and VH1. I miss when instagram was more about a fun filter than trying to make a photo look like a luxury brand ad. I miss glam makeup looks. Who cares if we were going to Walmart, let us feel glamorous while doing that! I miss going to theaters more often to see movies. I know people still go but not as much as we used to. I miss when Youtube was actually a place to find creative people who loved making videos, not people who just "want to be Youtube famous, or rich YouTubers". I miss Vine. And I know we have TikTok but TikTok is like the entitled trust fund baby of Vine. I miss when DIY was actually good stuff, not clickbait, 5 minute crafts stuff(it never took only 5 mins). I miss Pinterest/Tumblr aesthetic bedrooms. They were simple, and yet magnificent all at the same time. I miss writing song lyrics on our hands and posting it on Tumblr or Pinterest. Everyone wanting a polaroid camera to make polaroid walls. I miss thigh high boots, high waisted skinny jeans. Cute, yet simple high ponytails, messy buns, Vans, fun bralettes, even those puff balls on our keychains. Everyone wanting a Beats pill or Beats headphones. I miss the artistic brand packaging for beauty products, whether it be perfume, lotion, lip gloss or eyeshadow palettes. When did brands suddenly get scared of using glitter on packages? Or bright colors? We were edgy, chic, a wild-child, and free spirted then. I guess what I am trying to say is...
