A nail-bitingly intimate portrait of an English woman; how she relates to herself, her body, her husband, her work and her home. The existential vacuum that her financial privilege creates is so beautifully illustrated by Hogg’s slow, mysterious shots of D, who remains almost completely inaccessible to the audience and her husband throughout the film.
