And at the center of that impulse is the shaman; stoned, intoxicated on plants, speaking with the spirit helpers, dancing in the moonlight, and vivifying and invoking a world of conscious, living mystery. That’s what the world is. The world is not an unsolved problem for scientists or sociologists. The world is a living mystery: our birth, our death, our being in the moment – these are mysteries.

Be crumbled. So wild flowers will come up where you are. You have been stony for too many years. Try something different. Surrender.

When you start to notice the mystical, the mystical will start to notice you.

The free soul is rare, but you know it when you see it - basically because you feel…very good, when you are near or with them.

People will love you. People will hate you. And none of it will have anything to do with you.

Happiness is your nature. It is not wrong to desire it. What is wrong is seeking it outside when it is inside.

The only burden you have ever had is your mind.

Don’t compare yourself to others. Really, just don’t do it. Comparison can tear one completely apart on the inside; bit by bit, piece by piece, one’s whole self acceptance may crumble. You must only focus on your own journey and where it is that you yourself are headed.

I try more and more to be myself, caring relatively little whether people approve or disapprove.
