File this under "the Mavs never want to ever win another championship". Jason Kidd is going to the Knicks. And now they're trying to sign Ramon Sessions..? Did they not watch the Lakers in the playoffs last season? Sessions is not that impressive.

Rough time to be a Mavs fan. I'm guessing they'll be trading Dirk soonish while he's still worth something. Maybe they're going into rebuilding mode.

Steve Nash is going to the freakin' Lakers?!

I just read an article yesterday where Nash talked about how he didn't think he could put on a Lakers' jersey. I guess he got over it.

I haven't read the details but I guess this move puts him closer to his kids. Can't fault a guy for that.

Now that the Lakers have a real point guard, they're looking a little scary. Especially if Kobe can keep playing like he did last year.

Rumors have been saying for awhile that the Lakers want to trade Gasol. It'll be interesting to see who they could get for him. The Lakers are planning to have Kobe, Nash, Bynum, and Gasol as the core of the Lakers this coming season. Ramon Sessions is out of the picture now.

For those who are concerned, Dragic Goran is going to be the Suns' starting PG. They also picked up Michael Beasley. Hm.

Edit: I'd just like to say, even though I don't want the Lakers to be a better team (Go Thunder!), they should really consider ditching Bynum. He's too temperamental and childish. Get rid of him and get someone who won't drag down the team's morale.

So let's see, the Mavs have now lost Tyson Chandler, JJ Barea, DeShawn Steveson, and Jason Terry. There goes a big part of your 2011 Championship team.

I hope Dirk is content with one ring. Unless they trade him, too. Gotta get D-Will!

It’s been quite a week: losing MCA, Maurice Sendak and Vidal Sassoon! Madness. On that note, it was quite a bittersweet surprise when the NYTimes called to have me illustrate a little letters piece in honor of Maurice Sendak, which I gladly did. There was one letter especially moving from a woman who was abused as a young teen, and while waiting to see how her future will play out after reporting the abuse she found strength in Where the Wild Things Are.
