Candied Pecan Chocolate
We've got the perfect way to wow your party guests this holiday season. Deliciously Ella has the easiest, and dare we say, most delicious, candied pecan chocolate recipe we've ever laid eyes on.
Makes one large bar of chocolate.
Ingredients
For the Candied Pecans
100ml of maple syrup
1 tablespoon of coconut oil
1 teaspoon of cinnamon
For the Chocolate
175g cacao butter
150ml maple syrup
100g raw cacao powder
100g of pecans
65g goji berries
a pinch of salt
Directions
Pre-heat the oven to 200CÂ
Place the maple syrup, coconut oil, and cinnamon in a pan on a low heat. Stir gently until everything is mixed in and the coconut oil has melted.
Line a baking tray with baking paper and spread the pecans over the paper. Pour the mixture onto the nuts and stir together. Place the tray in the oven for about ten minutes, until theyâre golden brown but not burnt. You may want to stir the mix once during this time.
While the pecans cook, fill a saucepan with water and place it on a hob. Add the cacao butter to a bowl and place this on top of the pan. Stir gently every couple of minutes until melted.
Once the cacao butter is melted, pour it into a mixing bowl with the raw cacao powder, salt, and maple syrup. Use a spatula to mix it all together, and allow it to thicken â be patient with this, it will take a few minute to thicken but itâs an important step.
Line a dish or baking tray with a new sheet of baking paper and pour the chocolate mix over it, so that it is about a centimeter deep. Then sprinkle the pecans and goji berries over it, using a spatula to gently press them into the chocolate so that they stick. Place the chocolate tray in the freezer to set for about 2 hours. Once it is really solid, remove it from the freezer and break it up into large chunks.
Store the chocolate in the freezer if you want to keep it for a while but this chocolate wonât melt if you leave it out.

We love Rebecca of From Rosesâ blog for its clean, minimalist design + status as a trove of truly valuable inside info on the best products on the market. We sat down with her for a Q&A on how she maintains her glow (English Rose, anyone?) and which Dr. Jart products she swears by. Read on! Q: Describe your daily routine.
A: Day to day, I try to keep it pretty simple, as I donât like to overload my skin. If Iâm not quite feeling makeup one day, I still make sure to do my skincare routine and get rid of any residue from the night before.
Q: Any favorite beauty secrets or hacks?
A: Although it's no secret, I always make sure to take off my makeup as soon as I get in the house! I think itâs important to let your skin breathe. Other than that, I recommend always cleaning your makeup brushes and changing your pillowcases regularly.Â
Q: How do you keep your skin healthy?
A: Water! I recently started making sure I was getting enough H2O everyday, and since then, Iâve noticed a huge difference in my skin.
Q: Who are your all-time beauty icons?
A: Audrey Hepburn, without a doubt.
Q: Youâre stranded on a desert island. Whatâs the one beauty product youâd take with you?
A: This is between lip balm and sunscreen, but Iâm going with the sensible option: SPF.
Q: What is your favorite Dr. Jart product?
A: The Water Fuse Water Sure Gel. Itâs an absolute savior in colder months, and works perfectly for combination skin.
Tousled waves + a classic '60s smoky eye. Channeling Sharon Tate for our holiday party beauty inspiration. #TBT

Broccoli Cashew Soup
Thereâs more than one way to warm up this season. Our current favorite:Â My New Rootsâ delicious, nutrient-rich soup. How-to below.
Ingredients
Soup
1 pound onions, chopped
1 dollop coconut oil
½ teaspoon sea salt
6 cloves garlic, minced
2 pounds broccoli, chopped into florets
6 cups vegetable broth
fresh green chili, minced (enough to suit your taste)
½ cup nutritional yeast
1 cup packed flat-leaf parsley, leaves and tender stems only
2 teaspoon lemon juice
sea salt to taste
chili flakes for garnish, if desired
Cashew Cream
1 cup raw cashews
1 Âź cups water
2 cloves garlic
2 teaspoon lemon juice
Âź teaspoon sea salt
Directions
Place cashews in a large bowl and cover with water. Add 1 teaspoon of sea salt, stir and let soak at room temperature for about 4 hours (overnight is fine). Drain and rinse.
Place cashews in a blender, add all other cashew cream ingredients and blend on the highest setting until completely smooth. Season to taste. Set aside.
Heat a dollop of coconut oil in a large stockpot. When melted, add onions and a few pinches of sea salt, stir, and cook until the onions have softened, about 5-7 minutes. Add garlic and chili, stir, cook for 2 minutes. Next add the vegetable broth, and bring to a boil. Add the broccoli florets and simmer for just 5 minutes â do not overcook! The broccoli should be bright green and slightly al dente.
Remove about half of the cashew cream from the blender and set aside. Add the stockpot contents to the blender (you may need to do this in batches), and blend on the highest setting until smooth. Add the nutritional yeast, parsley, and lemon juice. Blend on high until smooth. Season to taste.
To serve, pour the soup into bowls. Add a few spoonfuls of the leftover cashew cream and swirl into the soup. Sprinkle with chili flakes and a couple of parsley leaves. Enjoy hot.
