Pick one to subject your blorbo to and pass it on
Hurt with no comfort
Love and care they believe they don't deserve
Flashbacks or reliving the Trauma™
One good day where absolutely nothing bad happens
Stabbed and bleeding out somewhere remote
Their strained "I'm fine" is believed by their team
A mug of hot cocoa and the warmest, coziest blankets
Suddenly coughing up blood
A hug
Happy April 25th Everyone. Remember your light jacket.
[ID: an image set of the interview scene from miss congeniality. cheryl fraiser (miss rhode island) is told, "describe your perfect date." she responds, "that's a tough one. i'd have to say april 25th. because it's not too hot and not too cold. all you need is a light jacket." /end ID.]

Name a video game song you still have stuck in your head.
Feed your dashboard by answering my question, blogger.
the Goldeneye menu music still has an absolute chokehold on me years later. shit still slaps almost 30 years later.
when youre stressed about your current wip, start a new one! now you can be stressed about two wips instead!
hell, go ahead and start as many as you want! who knows, maybe you'll have an idea you can use in something else. or maybe it will help you work on another project you've been stuck on. just enjoy the fact you're writing and that you're not making ai slop.
I’ve had tumblr for 4 years but some of you bitches have had it for a decade. It’s time to seek penance
wait I’m curious now . Reblog this with how long u’ve been on tumblr for. Dating back to ur oldest blog ever !!!
definitely over a decade. I made my first account in 2007 when the app first came out but deleted it. ended up coming back to the app sometime in 2013 under a different username and have stuck around since then.
Okay, so according to this post, @staff says they're listening to us, so...
Sound off, Tumblr! How do you feel about the latest update to the reblog and notes?
Hate it. 👎
Like it. 👍
No nuance. Go ahead and reblog the crap out of this.
Reblogs in a chain now get their own notes
The reblog chain is one of the things that makes Tumblr unlike anywhere else. All the notes on reblogs are attributed to the original post, no matter which branch people actually liked or reblogged. We want to keep encouraging conversations, and give contributors the recognition they deserve.
Soon, you'll be able to like, reblog, or reply to any part of a reblog chain, and that note will go to that reblog's author. Each reblog will have its own counts, instead of one aggregated number from every version of the post. And yes, you’ll be able to like multiple posts in one chain.
If a reblog doesn't add anything, the love flows up to the last person in the chain who did. Your post doesn't lose notes just because people spread it quietly.
Past notes will stay on the original post — we're only changing what happens from here on out. Retroactively re-attributing all of them would be... a lot.
This is just the beginning. More changes are coming as we keep building this out – stay tuned!
It’s very clear that you all have strong feelings about Tumblr and about this change. We hear you. The passion people have for how Tumblr works is one of the things that makes this place special.
As this rolls out over the next few days and you explore it, we’ll keep reading your replies and reblogs, so please keep sharing your questions, concerns, and ideas.
Your creativity has always been the heart of Tumblr, whether you’re the original poster or adding something brilliant in the reblogs, and nothing about this change is meant to limit that.
If you’d like to talk directly beyond the comments, leave a reply and we’ll follow up with as many of you as we can. We want to work with you to make Tumblr better.
hey folks do we like this. reblog without commentary for reach
do we want this?
yes
no

fuck. I felt this. I keep getting spammed from my uni promoting some generative AI ambassador role because I'm in the English department and I want to SCREAM each and every time I see that damn ad.
AI needs to get fucked in the worst possible way. I'm tired of seeing it in my classes and let's not get me started on people dialing into emergency services because "AI told me to call."
AI is just continually perpetuating an absurd level of brain rot and it is horrifying sitting and watching it destroy people's capacity for critical thinking.
if someone were to ask you "what is your absolute, ultimate, number 1 favorite character/blorbo/etc" would you be able to easily answer that question?
yes, extremely easily, i could answer within seconds
i would have to think about it for a bit, but could answer after some reflection
no, but i could narrow it down to a few, like a top 3, 5 or 10
no, i love too many characters and can't pick between/don't rank them like that
i'm bald/i hate fictional characters/my favorite character is vanilla extract
genuinely very curious about this, would love to get reblogs so i can get a larger sample size
👏 👏

Do you ever tell yourself that you're going to wait to post something until you have it mostly written or complete? But then, you completely impulse post the work and then panic about the subsequent updates you're now responsible for supplying?
It's also in a fandom that is pretty established and kind of intimidating so, fuck me.

"you were always such a good kid! we never had to worry about you :)" thanks! you actually should've, though. like about this specifically
I would agree this type of commentary and parenting fumble altered so much of who I was growing up and to this day I am still dealing with fragments of what it left behind.
I still have issues with regulating my emotions, how to reach out when I need emotional support, and oftentimes shut down and silence myself and my needs because I'd rather not be a burden.
While growing up, I never realized how unhealthy that type of environment was. It was easy to mistake the cliché sayings as praise or that my self-reliance was a strength, and looking back, it's not a strength if it is something born from survival.
I was always hypervigilant of people's moods. I would literally adjust my reactions in real-time to do my best to keep the peace and minimize my emotions and presence to avoid conflict. It was so easy to overanalyze interactions and I would literally internally panic if I perceived it as a negative interaction and worry that I did something to upset someone because I wanted to avoid disappointing them or making them angry. Shit, I'm still not great at not falling into these patterns and behaviors even in my 30s.
It's so important for kids to know they have a safe and consistent environment where their emotional needs can be met without being conditional.
So much of how we learn to interact with others stems from those formative years and without healthy examples of how to navigate it, it's very easy to create lasting behavioral and emotional responses that become very hard to unlearn as an adult.
