I defy categorization!

He served as secretary of defense.

He served eight years as vice president.

And then he issued one of the most devastating warnings ever delivered by a Republican about Donald Trump:

“In our nation’s history, there has never been an individual who is a greater threat to our republic than Donald Trump.”

Cheney said Trump tried to steal an election using lies and violence after voters rejected him.

Then he added:

“He is a coward. A real man wouldn’t lie to his supporters.”

That didn’t come from a Democrat.

It came from one of the most powerful Republican vice presidents in American history.

You don’t have to admire Dick Cheney’s record to understand the significance of his warning.

When a lifelong conservative calls the leader of his own party a coward, and the greatest threat the republic has faced, perhaps party loyalty is no longer a good enough excuse for looking away.
