❝ it’s fine ! ❞ he says, a bit too quickly. ❝ rin-nii and i got it all covered so it’s okay. besides, i wouldn’t wanna make you clean up my mess. ❞ he shoots a small smile towards the other boy. trying to act as if everything was fine was… difficult. it was difficult when you couldn’t disclose what happened to people you care about. (but it’s because len cares about him. he cares about him and so he won’t tell him what happened.)

❝ a festival ? ❞ he repeats, tilting his head to the side. he taps his pointer fingers together, pursing his lips. ❝ well… that sounds like fun, ❞ he finally says after a moment of thinking. he pauses, before making up his mind with a firm nod. ❝ yeah ! i’ll go with you, rencchi. i don’t think rin-nii is in the mood to socialize though, sooo… ❞ he pokes rencchi’s cheek before he continues. 

❝ you’ll just be stuck with me !! ❞

        HE HELD HIS BREATH  as Len took a moment to contemplate  .   With sweat beginning to collect at his palms  ,   lips awkwardly pressed into a smile   &&.   mentally preparing   for a rejection  -   he couldn’t help but become   hyper - aware   of his surroundings  .   Time seemed to pass as if every   NANOSECOND   became an hour  ,   and Ren almost felt his skin turn   blue   from the lack of air  .   Was he not in the mood to hang out  ?   Could large social events be uncomfortable for him  ?   Would Rinkun be joining them -   ?   Not that he ever minded their presence  ,   of course  -   but    —   a gentle poke abruptly   CRASHED   his train of thoughts  .

        The unexpected gesture leaves his cheeks   FLARING    ;    nearly enough to send the other’s finger   SCALDED   by his excitement   had it lingered any longer  .   Sheepishly  ,   the boy shuffled his feet  ,   wringing out a cumbersome laugh as he fell short of the words he attempted to   AT LEAST   choke out  .
