I know everyone was talking about how Veil of Mourning had hinted at White Lily’s eventual death a while ago, but I haven’t seen anyone talk about how her interactions with the other ancients had hinted at her revival. 

Back when she was released in 2024, there were kingdom interactions she had with the other ancients. Most of them asking her “how it felt to be back”, I’m pretty sure that everyone thought that she would see them again eventually during that time (since Pure Vanilla was the only one that saw her in person). 

However, the only time the ancients were reunited again was when White Lily had defeated Dark Enchantress and sacrificed herself in the final battle. 

Now that the Tartarus update is here, White Lily’s kingdom interactions make sense. Since we know that these kingdom interactions happen before, between, or after key moments in the lore; an example of this is when Hollyberry asks Dark Cacao about his son, hinting that it was after the incident and Crispia episode 14. 

White Lily’s interactions with the other ancients is after she’s revived. Perhaps this is why we also see Golden Cheese “needing more time” because she saw her friend die and get revived after the war without hearing from her (I could be wrong with this, but Pure Vanilla, Hollyberry, and Dark Cacao’s interactions with White Lily gives us heavy clues that this was after she came back from the dead)

Pure Vanilla is going to revive White Lily, making her whole again. 

And yes although I’ve been seeing people compare their upcoming story with Orpheus and Eurydice and predicting that Lily isn’t going to get revived if he looks back, I think this is more of a metaphor than anything about the looking back part. (SPOILERS AHEAD!!!)
