2016 has been a true roller coaster ride with good times and not so good ones. As I was admiring the New Year fireworks in the middle of an excited crowd I started thinking that things have been on the fast track for a while now, running from one thing to another. As the ephemeral light show was ending I was thinking that a good #2017 #WHPresolutions is to take things slower, be in the moment and enjoy it as best as possible as it happens. Marforio, colossal statue of river-god, restored as Oceanus. The figure of the river-god, originally part of the decoration of a fountain that might date to the Flavian age (first century AD) was restored with the typical attributes of Ocean.
