Some of the Xaden and Aaric scenes had me fujoing tf out

Why does Violet even love Xaden? He’s not like Dain and he’s hot but what else? Why is she losing her damn mind over this dude 😭

Is it just me or there aren’t that many memorable conversations with Violet and Xaden in onyx storm? The last conversation they had that really stood out to me was the second signet reveal thing in iron flame and the battle ax armoire conversation. Xaden’s talk in Hedotis while he is seeing his half brothers from the balcony is vaguely interesting but only because of what he says and not anything Violet said then stood out to me. They could be talking about Fen, Alic, Dain, Lilith, Garrick, the future of Aretia, the deal with Tecarus and why Xaden doesn’t trust him, why Xaden is scared to turn even more. There is no real curiosity about the life that might be waiting for him if he gets even worse but not bad enough that Violet has to stop him, Xaden just tells her that she has to kill him even though she obviously will never do that. I don’t feel like Violet is connecting to Xaden in a real meaningful way. She mostly just ogles him and worries about his venin stuff in this book. They have love declarations that frankly seem like they could have been copy and pasted from other stories. I don’t want to dislike them as a couple but I’m starved for genuinely interesting moments and talks between them it’s so irritating that almost all their interactions in book 3 were pretty much skippable for me lol
