hi! Made an update post recently and, whilst I’m dealing with quite a bit at the moment, I’m Sort managing fine

tbh, I’ve been quite lucky in the sense that I truly rarely get hate, like honestly I think I’ve gotten straight up hate maybe three times in all my years writting, so truly I have never really needed to even think about it

Right when inspiration was hitting?!?! Right when I was locking the fuck in?!?! Disrespectful

Hey guys… so… I know I haven’t been really active lately but I’m here mostly just to… say stuff I don’t even know.

This past month and a half has not been the best, my life has kinda blown up medically (nothing too serious… yet? Hopefully? Idk?), personally, emotionally, almost academically (still recovering from that scare), and it’s just… been a lot.

I’m working on it, I’m back in therapy and I’ve gone back to some hobbies to help with my mental state and I think I’m like- staring to relax a tiny little bit-

All of this to say, I don’t know when I’ll be updating any of my works aside from my Jonathan fic since that one is already finished.

To be entirely honest, I’m still writing a lot, since I’m honestly always writing and I always love writing, but I’ve been writing whatever I feel like, so I’ve got 10 more chapters written of the Arcane fic that I’ve worked on these past 2 months, I just don’t want to update until I finish all of it, I’ve been working on and off on fics that are yet to be published, I’ve been working on my original stuff, so- I love writing and I am very much still in the habit of writing anywhere between 1k to 5k everyday, it is a part of me, but I haven’t really been working on a lot of my unfinished stuff

I just want to say, I will be going back to those fics, be it if I feel the inspo or once I’m a bit more stable and I can sit down and structure them the way I want to, it’s just been hard.

So um- yeah, I’m prioritizing writing only what I want to and what I feel like day to day, lately that has mostly been the Arcane fic and some other unpublished projects and my original work, I just wanted to give that update

I might be a bit more active on my side blog, just posting random stuff and thoughts since I feel like that might help in some kind of way but I don’t think I’ll be too active here, maybe getting into my inbox ocasionally but I honestly don’t know

Might not be able to relax til my graduation in June tbh, my college is being a bitch and making it as difficult as possible to just let me finish and everything else is… not any better and most of it is unfortunately just out of my control so I’m just trying to stay above water. I’m getting there.

again, justice for Mia, I remember I’d planned to have a Riven POV discovering her body and doing his best to give her a burial or at least some dignity but then never did, so instead it’s just implied (and mentioned in the notes) that the Trix just dumped her body in the… in the dump/garbage and Riven put her in a dignified position away from the trash and her hands over her chest

“How did you keep your sanity?” Brandon asked in a sorrowful whisper.

“Stubbornness and spite.”

It occurred to Timmy suddenly that, Riven was usually the one to take charge in bad situations. He was brave to the point in which some would argue his bravery crossed into stupid territory.

But the redhead found himself wishing he had even a fourth of Riven’s courage.

I really said it’s Timmy missing Riven hours. In s1 those 2 were lowkey one of my fave pairings, their friendship doesn’t quite feel deep but the two are actually really good friends, Timmy is the only one of the boys that Riv can talk about Jennie with and, while Timmy is mostly trying to stay neutral when the argumemts with Skt start, when smth major happens he is on Riven’s side and even regrets not standing by him more

with Helia and Nabu’s arrival I did decide to make the bestie pairings Helia- Riven and Timmy-Nabu because I felt that Helia and Riven understanding each other’s anger was an essential part of their bond and I really do enjoy their dynamic of soft/rough besties whilst Timmy and Nabu are more on the awkward/legacy side with the families they come from. i do recall being torn about it cause Helia-Nabu would’ve also been an interesting pair with them being the more magic-focused Specialists but I felt that maybe both tending to be on the calmer side would be too similar to the Flora-Aisha bestie thing (and also I just really wanted to explore the Riven-Helia dynamic) but I think even so Timmy and Riven remain one of the best friendships in the rewrite

damn yall, I really gotta write another big scaled battle, and I’d already been considering it for S5 but now it’s a guarantee, let’s parallel and echo s1’s battle to show character growth and how the power crawl has power crawled with mama

But srly I can see the power crawl more clearly now cause Tecna was struggling this ch with shit that’s like effortless by s4, this just makes me feel proud ajanjajaa, makes me think of the (objectively sorry not sorry) best power crawl of all time, the power crawls of Katara, Aang and Zuko and to a certain extent Sokka from ATLA (Toph not included cause she was a powerhouse from the get go) tbh, I lowkey wanted to emmulate that feeling and that aspect of the magic was partially inspired by watching Southern Raiders and just remembering like s1 ep2 and seeing the GROWTH

That scene with Daphne getting Bloom out of Domino and being betrayed by Erendor is still one of my top moments from s1 and tbh all the rewrite.

though like, funnily it gives me The Night Alisson Went Missing Tm from PLL cause I added on to it in s3 and am considering revealing smth ELSE that happened that night in s5 it just makes me think of Alisson being revealed to have had the busiest day ever sjjajajajajajaja

continuity mistake: did Riven jump Sasahi or James? Apparently I can’t make up my freaking mind and I know for a fact I keep switching them out since Sasahi was supposed to be a bigger mentor to Riven and then it just… didn’t happen so yeah… that’s the reason for that

ooopp, Griffin implying she teamed up with Valtor and that he was a villain… weird to think there was a time in which I was gonna have him be a villain straight up…

And all this made me realize that if your version were the real one and had come out in 2004, I'm sure it would have had the same effect on the audience that Madoka Magica had, people would start watching thinking it was a typical magical girl story until suddenly they're hit by a series of incredibly traumatic events and the whole story changes.

But in the end, that's all I wanted to say, and again, congratulations on the great work.

Tbh I mostly write Palladium when he shows up as a bit of an awkward nerd, like he things plants and potions are the best thing ever and whilst he’s a great teacher he doesn’t always have the best grasp on social cues and can pick favorites (Flora)

As for Valtor, honestly is depends on what you want his role to be, wouldn’t really have advice if you’re keeping him a villain since I didn’t write him that way but regardless of what his role is I feel he’s someone whose gotta be shown to be incredibly cunning, smart and calculated/studious
