✮⋆˙ I grew up in a house where writing was basically a second language; one parent with a PhD in English, the other with a PhD in Anthropology , so putting words together with intention wasn’t optional ✮⋆˙ I took it in my own direction. I earned a degree in psychology with a minor in linguistics, and I participated in research on language acquisition and literature—how stories get into the brain and why certain ones stay there. ✮⋆˙ currently I’m a psychology grad student, which means most of my writing life is is data, methods, and results. this is the place where I get to be creative again — a reminder that language isn’t just for findings and citations, it’s also for fun
