Can someone with dementia or Alzheimer's still experience symptoms of ptsd if they had it before they started deteriorating?
Could I be prevented from becoming a nurse or doctor if someone found out I had bipolar disorder?
If it does not affect your ability to perform the duties of your job then it should not be a problem.
You’re so cool and inspiring ^_^

What inspire you to study medicine? I’m a radiologic technologist and sonographer. I have been always interested in studying medicine, and in August I’m starting a bachellors degree in natural sciences, in order so I can apply for medicine.
Check out my post here:

Medical Haiku Monday!!!
I’m 21, and recently I’ve had a few heart problems. I work at a hospital and I was feeling quite dizzy and I could feel my heart racing so I asked a nurse to take my heart rate. It would bounce from 113 to 135 and never normalize. They did an ECG and the print out said “Sinus Tachycardia” and “consider Inferior Ischemia” What is that?
THIS IS NOT MEDICAL ADVICE.
Objectively speaking, sinus tachycardia means your heart was beating fast. Consider inferior ischemia means consider the patient has had a heart attack or is having a heart attack in the inferior blood supply distribution of the heart. The computer/ECG interpretation of the heart rhythm and the doctor interpretation can vary greatly. Computers can be wrong too. They were made by humans.
THIS IS NOT MEDICAL ADVICE.
Hey, so I’m wanting to go to school to become a doctor. I was reading up about a few things and one page said that I could go 2 ways with my degree? A bachelor of science and a Bachelor of Arts. Is that true? Do you know anything about that?
Thanks for your question.
You can get any degree you would like prior to going to medical school as long as you take the required pre-medical classes. See this post:

A Bachelor of Science encompasses most of these courses but you are not required to get one.

hey, thanks for answering all these questions! Should I go to a doctor if, on the first day of my period every month, I wake up with such painful cramps that I feel super dizzy for about an hour? They usually clear up once I take an advil, but I'm not sure if this is "normal" or something else. I know this is (probably) not your area of expertise, but maybe you'll have some info?
I cannot offer medical advice over tumblr. I would say see your doctor.
bit of a weird question but i had an emergence trauma laparotomy/open abdominal surgery to fix a punctured duodenum and no matter what i look up i can’t find out much about HOW on earth they do it, the only thing my surgeon said was ‘we had to rummage a bit to find the right spot’ because most people don’t puncture their duodenum but??? how did they??? do it??? 🤔 they surely don’t actually take yr intestines out and then back in right??? sorry if u don’t know much about this!
Hey thanks for your question!
From what I understand, and I’m not a surgeon, is that they “run the bowel.” They start from one end and search each centimeter of intestines until they find the perforation/puncture or until they reach the other end.
Hope you are doing better though.
