As far as a love life goes, Jazz Fenton’s is fully dead.

My grew-much-more-than-I-meant-it-to fic for the 2025 round of Ghouls & Gangs/@dpxdcbigbang ( and also a lil' teaser crop of the very pretty art @llorona--specter did for it, the full piece of which can be found here! ). Also received beta-ly assistance from H_C when this was, uh, a much, muuuuuch smaller fic. Meaning any and all mistakes are absolutely mine because brickspace happened to me and I therefore did NOT give them time to review a significant chunk of the fic. You can absolutely thank faer for the title and sparing y'all from more than a few particularly aggressive run-on sentences, though, haha.

Extremely happy to find be able to post this art that I made! You'll get two versions because I missed the color of the hair..... rip

Jason thought nothing could ever be stronger than his relationship with his wonderful boyfriend of 2 years, Danny Fenton. After meeting in college as freshman, they’d been inseparable ever since, even resulting in Danny consulting on cases as a retired hero.

But, when Danny is targeted by the Joker in his latest scheme to push the Bats and Birds to their moral limit, that relationship gets tested in a way Jason never could have imagined.

There were other things I could’ve drawn, yes, including much shippier things, but the adorable/heartbreaking bookends of hugging your half-dead little-brother-in-law took me out at the knee and anyway, now we’re here, hahaha. 

Though I did include the ( very long ) concept sketches for a few other ideas behind the cut, some of which actually got to include some Death Defying in ‘em.

I'm super excited that posting week for @dpxdcbigbang 2025 is now here! I've been working on an adventure where the Red Hood has ghost powers, and the ghosts of his past (ha-I kinda made a pun :)) and family members are all things that he has to deal with, and it works in elements of Red Hood and the Outlaws(Rebirth) as well. It's called A Friend of Mine! It's also the sequel to one of my fics from 2024, Bottom of the Boxcar.

Summary

Jason met a pretty lady on patrol. Jason would now like to try and get to know this pretty lady because she was also a badass. But Team was there and Black Canary was there and uncle was there and they were helping. They didn’t pry her fingers off, but they held out their hands and when she was ready, she could reach out and let them fish her out of the pain she was drowning in.

It was getting better.
