Well, she didn’t look like a complete freak, but she still had his strange hair color… and the other two had his eye color… why couldn’t they have just been perfect copies of Thrain? He walked off, returning with her a little while later. “11lbs, 7oz. They all appear healthy. Would you like a proper anesthetic now?”

Dottore set the youngest on Thrain’s chest. Once he was comfortable enough, he left and grabbed a needle for an epidural. Dottore managed to get it into Thrain’s spine without him spotting how long the needle was, and he was now feeling pain relief as Dottore began mixing up formula for the youngest. “Why didn’t you call me? I would’ve come home sooner had I known that this was happening.”

As the pain relief spread through him, their eldest finally successfully latched and started drinking with a lot of gusto. He rubs a thumb on her back and hums a bit “I tried, but these three wanted out fast.”

“I suppose that makes sense.” Dottore finished making the bottle and sat down, holding their youngest in his lap before beginning to bottlefeed her. “…I apologize for not being there for you, I should’ve cut my trip shorter.”

“That is a fair assessment…” Their youngest looked so much like him… “…I would’ve thought they’d all turn out looking like you, I thought my genes were far too recessive for this.”

“I told you that one would look like you.” He sounds so smug as he says that. A beat of silence passes before he replies “We need to fill out their birth certificates.”

He silently watches the triplets, silently taking note of everything little thing about them. He then looks up as Dottie returns with the birth certificates “Mmm, do you have a name or two you want to use?”

I feel it’s a nice name.” In all honestly, he noted it from a baby names book Eivor showed him, but it was a nice name, and quite original.

Of course the corvid associated doctor would name one of their kids a name that means ‘Raven.’. “Hrefna is a perfect name.” He says softly. “Mm, I believe Hrefna was born at 7:40, Zainab at 8:00, and you came home just as I had Ritva.” He says and carefully sets Hrefna down on the bed, adjusting Zainab and Ritva.
